Polaris traveled out of the parklands, wanting to explore and maybe have her troubled mind cleaned with the soft sun of the morning coating her large frame. Her wide paws pressed firm against the forest's floor, confident but cautious. At this time of the year, she had to be careful as many hibernating animals could be lurking and some could react violently to noise. But should one be this close she needed to act. Having something like a bear this close to her home, it was important to chase it away to ensure it wasnt going to go after them at the end of winter. Her icy eyes were cold as she lurked around. But then she managed to see a borrow, eyes narrowed as she approached. Her tail rose as she wanted to check it in the case of having anything she should chase off. Having her head in there two glowing eyes landed over her. And soon a growl erupted from there, her lips winkled and she snarled. Getting some steps back her hackles rose as her eyes were now full of anger. This grizzly bear was a threat and she was to do everything she could but she knew she couldn't do much alone. wc- 207 "Speak"

Tsunami was taking her promotion very seriously, she wasn't entirely sure what her new role 100% implied, she'd have to seek out her uncle... or maybe Winter instead... about that. She wasn't totally sure about that. But she did know it was probably a good idea to keep tabs on her packmates, and so she'd set about following after her cousin. She wasn't trying to be particularly stealthy right now, it wasn't exactly as though she cared if her cousin knew she was there but she wasn't approaching her either, simply seeing how the younger woman would react. It seemed however that Polaris had other things on her mind and Tsunami couldn't help but wonder what it was that had driven the young woman to stick her head in a bear's den and would have almost laughed at the obvious outcome that was unfolding before her. But well, she wasn't about to watch her cousin get mauled to death! Almost as soon as the grizzly reared its head the woman burst forward, launching herself at the side of the beast, her jaw parted as she sought to sink her fangs into the bear's neck... But it seemed the angry thing wasn't as dim as it's tiny beady eyes might suggest, it swung it's massive head towards her just long enough to see her and instead rose up onto its hind legs, swinging a massive clawed paw down at her and knocked Tsunami right out of the air, winding her in the process. She scrambled frantically, desperate to escape the bear as it's was quickly lowering itself back down, right on top of her! WC: 273 (480/1500) "Speech"

Polaris was ready to fight, either by a bear or whoever as when it came to her family's safety she was to do whatever it took. And here and now she was technically risking it all for that cause. The bear roared as it launched toward her. But before anything she could do, her cousin Tsunami was already into the bear as she went after their neck. But of course, the beast threw her with his massive head and soon he was over her ready to take her life but Polaris wasn't going to let it happen. Snarling she went after the bear's left butt cheek, sinking her fangs in deep. The bear roared leaving Tsunami to go after Polaris. Well, she got what she wished which was saving her cousin.

Then she circled the bear wanting to find any weakness she could exploit hoping Tsunami was okay.

Tsunami braced for what was sure to be a very painful death, or if she didn't die several broken bones. But when the pain didn't come she slowly blinked open her eyes. The bear was bellowing as it chased after her cousin. Tsunami struggled back to her paws, scrambling to get back up to her full height with any amount of speed. Finally, back up she scrambled backward, watching as Polaris circled the thing. She quickly shook herself back into the right mindset to fight the beast that threatened her cousin. Tsunami jolted forward, placing herself on the opposite of the bear from Polaris, forcing the beast to low in frustration, unable to keep both the wolves in its eyesight as Tsunami set to circling it as well. Whenever the bear snapped its head to look at Polaris she would jump forward, flashing out a paw to batter at it, or snapping ineffectually at its fur until it was forced to look at her again. The bear was clearly getting tired of this and reared up, swiping at Tsunami, who was taken by surprise and took the grunt of the swing, grunting but having the thought at least to bite down hard on the massive paw pressed to her chest, latching on and growling at the bear started to flail its paw and shake her off. She wasn't about to let go if she could help it. WC: 237 (865/1500) "Speech"

The hair on her scruff rose on intimidation as fangs revealed in a snarl. If this bastard thought they could get to hurt her family and get away with it they were wrong and Polaris was about to teach them what that meant. And from time to time she checked on Tsunami, hoping she wasn't too injured or dead. But for her relief, she was fine as she stood back to her feet and joined her against the bear. She nodded as Tsunami stood opposite to her against the bear, this caused it to get tired of them uncertain of who to attack. But in the end, it went after her cousin who went after but the massive bear paw caught her. Polaris rushed forward and aiming to once more get the bear's attention out of Tsunami she attempted to bit hard on the bear's left back leg by the join, trashing her head in the process. But then the bear pinned the smaller wolf who took a bite on their leg. Well, Polaris sought her chance, and snarling she took purchase on the other front paw of the bear trashing again hoping to cause a lot of damage on any tendon or bone. But as she did that the bear left tsunami and went after Polaris who soon jumped out of the way and circling them she sank her fangs once again on the wound she caused in the rear leg. Tsunami grew more and more on edge as the bear grew more and more frustrated. They had two outs here, the bear either realizing it was fighting a losing battle and that leaving was the best way to avoid a long war of attrition... or to stand its ground until it couldn't anymore. Tsunami supposed there was one other possible outcome... One in which the tides of the fight turned and she and her cousin were drowned in the riptide... Which obviously was an outcome they wanted to avoid, but maybe she was being too confident when she didn't really feel it was a possibility. They were harrying the bear enough and it was starting to bleed from its many wounds while both she and Polaris were showing little signs of slowing... Even if she knew that wasn't a sign they couldn't take a blow wrong, or aggravate her already received wounds, she'd need someone to look at her chest for sure, though it was only a dull throb now she knew as soon as the adrenaline wore off that it would be a very rough bone-deep hurt. Polaris had managed to get the bear's hind leg bleeding as well and the poor thing was clearly struggling to remain on its now 3 damaged limbs. Tsunami growled, taking a threatening step towards the bear, who snapped its gaze towards her and lowed in frustration again, though this time it took a step back, nearly stepping down. Tsunami grinned. "If it tries to run, let it." She called out to her cousin, lunging forward and snapping threateningly at the bear's nose. It made another loud growl, though it sounded significantly less threatening and more desperate. WC:284 (1391/1500) "Speech"

Both cousins kept dancing with the bear if that could be called as such, but this was certainly dancing for survival. Polaris' original plan was to get the bear away from Winterfell, not like she wanted to kill it. But the bear responded in a way in which she had to attack with potentially lethal force. But when her cousin came to the equation things changed as she was now fighting for her family's life something that of course she was ready to do. Her mouth now filled with blood was wide and twinkling to reveal her fangs now soaked in the crimson substance. Just as Tsunami did she snapped her jaws and with her hackles risen she wanted to stop this at once and scare of the beat away. The bear now seemed unsure about them, it was two versus one and none of the cousins wished to step back until the bear left. And at the end, it stopped wanting to attack them and in no time it started to run away from the wolves and as per her cousins' recommendation, she let it run. "Are you okay?"
