Fighting the dummy he had created for himself only got him so far. It was good enough for getting the hang of swinging his new weapon and gave him a chance to perfect the construction of it, but he needed a new target - preferably a moving target. He needed to know if this tool he had crafted was actually going to serve him well in battle or if it was going to be too much of a hindrance to bother with. The only way he would know was to actually put it into practice. He found a place on the archipelago that was a wide enough area that it would make a good enough area to fight and he rolled his shoulders, adjusting how his armor sat against his body. The leather brace had gone though several tweaks and edits to make sure it fit like a glove, but the longer he wore it the more the leather formed and molded to his body and the more comfortable it became. The skull on his shoulder was an ever present feature through every iteration and he finally decided that it would remain as a permanent feature of his armor no matter how he changed it. He had grown attached to it as strange as it sounded and didn't feel like giving it up now. With the flail he had created waiting at his paws, he lifted his head to let out a howl, calling any of the fighters of the pack to come for a training session of sorts. There was a bit of warning in his tone - he didn't intend to go easy on whoever appeared in front of him. He needed practice - real practice - that he wasn't going to get on his own or from anyone that would shy away from a hard fight. He couldn't imagine that many of his family members at least would have an issue with participating in such a fight, but he wasn't so sure about these newer wolves that had found themselves among their ranks. As his call tapered out into an echo, he rolled his shoulders again and waited eagerly for someone to emerge from the trees in front of him. The ocean crashed steadily against the shore behind him and his breath created small clouds of fog in front of his nose in the bitterly cold winter air despite the bright, shining sun that was beaming down above him. Yes, today was a good day for a fight. wc: 421 total wc: 421/1500 |

With so many encounters during his outings as of late, Chimera's skills were quickly increasing. His ability was levels above what he had once been. However, there was always room for improvement. Though not even two years old, the boy was a giant. He stood heads above most and as he aged, he would fill out with thick muscle. Already his puppy fat was fading away. In time, Chimera would be a force to be reckoned with. His physique would contribute, but his disposition would hammer his skill home. There was little to no care in the boy for anyone other than his sister. Just one sister, at that. The gods knew that he had tons of them out there. They meant nothing. Just Siren. Forcing himself to be somewhat agreeable and diplomatic took its toll. The slave girl helped release some of the buildup, but the monochromatic wolf needed more. She was decent enough to sink his teeth into, but she wasn't a fighter. She didn't fight back. She took it and that was exactly what she was supposed to do. It sated one hunger, but Chimera needed battle. So, when the call came requesting a partner for a fight, he was quick to answer. The cold winter air snapped at the boys face like teeth, but he merely fluffed up his dual-tone pelt and trudged on. Mismatched eyes fell upon a wolf that he'd seen in passing but knew nothing of. The man's scent told him that they were related, but it was no surprise. His mother was a whore and his father wasn't much better. Chimera had already decided that, if he did have children, he would be very selective as to their breeding. If there were undesirables, he would simply kill them. Stalking forward along the chilled sand, the black and white young wolf stopped before the man. He spared a glance at the weapon, but his attention was for the man himself. Chi inspected what he assumed would be his opponent. It seemed like the man was waiting for something, so Chimera merely stood. There was no reason to speak. No reason for words. They both knew what was going to happen here. "Speech" |

Toxicity hadn't given much thought past trying to rear her pups. After she had silently gotten rid of the weakest one with it's seizures and ungodly small nature, Tox had taken it upon herself to try to better herself. She was a formidable fighter even if most of the time she was only using her teeth to try to murder her once sister. Well, did kill. Once anyway. Not that she knew, but Pestilence was out and still living.
Still, as far as Tox was concerned, Pestilence was only a part of the threats that faced the pack and herself. A growing number of people on the pack were non familiar and definitely weren't of Abraxas beliefs. After Venoms rejection of dispatching fallen ones, Tox was in no way going to share the culling of her own pup. In another world she could have gone to her family, mourned the loss together, used it as a way to get closer to each other and God. But that was not this life and Tox felt more and more that she had to guard herself and the shrine. Those that came there were not there to worship, and if enough in the pack felt uncomfortable with her rituals and worship, she had a keen sense that Venom would turn her back on Abraxas all together. In her rise to power, she had become less ally and more like their mother- post Archon death.
Since she couldn't trust her sister and alpha, she needed to protect herself. Her mind as well as her teeth and claws needed sharpening. She needed to learn how to act on her own, especially if she was going to keep on her toes with her pups in the future. She needed them to stay with Abraxas. She NEEDED them to. If they were unable, then there was no telling how or what Tox would do next. She had thought her purpose was to help lead her siblings, yet they all strayed. Now her pups were her last hope, really her last shot at faith.
So when the call came from Plague- someone who still had a shot and she didn't wholly dislike- Tox was keen to answer. Her pups were left safely at the den with Obi and she took a moment to straighten up her fur and dip in the springs to get the sticky lingering den scent off of her pelt. She still smelled of her den and remaining pups, but it was more subdued than before. With a hearty stretch, Tox set off on the path to where her brother called from.
She wasn't terribly used to coming and going out of the various parts of the pack, but as long as something was around the shrine, she could be there and if it was elsewhere, while she may take a while longer, she was still a competent wolf and could find her way... Eventually... Probably. As long as it wasn't on one of the God forsaken islands that she guessed had bridges or something to and fro in order to get to. She hadn't even really been totally sure how many islands were theirs or how they were patrolling them, but as long as the shrine was safe it wasn't a huge concern of hers.
Eventually she made it through to the clear area where Plague and another man stood. He looked Klein enough and smelled like the pack, but Tox wasn't sure if she had or hadn't met him before. Maybe she had and her brain had decided to delete his existence from it- who knew. Her eyes didn't linger longer than it took her brain to decide this was a Klein and moved on. If he was a Klein he was probably an inbred mongrel and who knew what all issues that would cause. Probably more incest if she were to guess. She instead dipped her head in Plague's direction briefly, settling closer to the other side of him than the stray Klein before him.
"Brother, what has you calling today?" she asked lightly, her eyes gliding back towards the stranger, "And who have you invited with you?"
She had an inkling, and showed it in her stance even though she wasn't on edge, she was still standing readily. Training, she assumed, but exactly what was anyone's guess to her.

A short time passed while he patiently waited for someone to answer his challenge and soon enough a two-toned male approached him. His patterning was unique enough that he remembered seeing him in passing around the pack, but not enough to be fully familiar with him. It took him a moment of digging through his memories before he finally came up with a name - Chimera if he remembered correctly. A half-brother if he had to guess from the young man's scent. It was all moderately vague memories and assumptions, but enough that he felt comfortable offering the man that stood across from him a small nod of greeting and a slight smirk. He get the sense that the man came ready to fight and it didn't seem like he needed much explanation - fine by him. Just as he went to pick up his weapon, a rustling in the trees caught his attention and he looked up to see Toxicity approaching him as well. He was surprised and pleased to see the new mother coming to join the fight and offered her a grin in return when she dipped her head to him. He felt like he still needed to feel out the relationship he had with his sister, but the fact that she had answered his howl at all made him hopeful that there was still a chance. To her question he replied, "I was craving a bit of practice and a chance to try this new project of mine in action." With a glance toward Chimera, he added, "This is... Chimera? Is that right?" Once his guess was confirmed, he nodded and looked between them both. "Well then... this fight is going to be even more interesting than I'd hoped," he said with another grin before dipping his head to pick up the handle of the boar head flail that had become his latest project. Shifting his stance a bit to put himself more evenly between his two opponents with Chimera to his left and Toxicity to his right, he settled into a slightly widened, more stable stance. Once his head was lowered to be level with his spine, his ears were folded back against his head, and his knees were slightly bent to get himself ready for the first move of this spar, he waited for his opponents to ready themselves as well before lunging forward to hopefully get himself within striking distance. Using the momentum of the leap he had made into the space between the two other wolves, he tossed his head toward Chimera to swing the weighted skull in his direction, hoping to connect the weapon with his opponent's shoulder. As soon as the momentum of his swing came back the other direction he tossed his head the other way to swing the flail toward Toxicity as well, though it was harder to aim on the back swing. Chimera said nothing as the two wolves arrived and spoke. He said nothing as the woman asked who he was and again said nothing as the man introduced him. Anything that he said would have just been extra words and the black and white boy wasn't into that sort of thing. What he was into was fighting. Seeing the man with his weapon stirred the coals of adrenaline within the two-toned wolf. He was ready for this. He was always ready for this. Widening his stance, he kept his gaze locked on the man for now. He needed to see how his weapon worked before he planned an attack. The thing looked heavy as it swung around. Heavy meant slow and that was something that he could deal with. When the tethered ball came towards him, Chimera sidestepped it. As it swung back towards the woman, Chi leaped back towards the man with the intent to slam his chest into Plague's side. If he could topple the man while he had the awkward weapon in his maw, then he and the woman could make short work of him. Speaking of the woman... Chi kept his gaze on her as he worked. If she came too close, he would attempt to sink his teeth into her neck or shoulder. He wasn't trying to maim his sparring partners, but he wouldn't hold back from spilling a bit of blood. Where was the fun in that? "Speech" |

Toxicity simply hummed at Plauge's introduction. So this guy was another Klein then probably. Cool. Great. Tox loved that for herself. She wasn't even all that excited to fight, but she needed to get in shape after having the pups and if it helped out Plague, then that was good too. He wielded a strange weapon and jumped into the space between Chi and Tox. The Klein man dodged and moved to slam into Plague's side. Seeing his motion, Tox stepped forward, taking a clumsy hit from the hardened skull across her neck. She tilted her head and aimed to latch onto the flail to pull Plague her direction. She shot the Klein man a look, hoping he would understand her intentions and work with her instead of doing whatever self-indulgent thing he may have wanted to do. If he pushed and she pulled, surely they could throw Plague off balance.

Plague watched Chimera's two toned form duck away out of the path of his weapon which made the swing back toward Toxicity much smoother and easier to direct than it would have been if it had rebounded off of Chimera's shoulder. He felt it connect against some part of his sister, but his emerald gaze was still locked on Chimera since he saw the other male preparing to move. It was hard to judge off feel alone, but he didn't think that the skull had hit Toxicity that hard anyway. Chimera lunged toward him and Plague quickly rotated his stance so that instead of ramming into his side, the monochrome man's chest slammed into his shoulder. Unfortunately, Chimera was on his left so he wasn't able to use the skull attached to the right shoulder of his armor to give any kind of backlash from the attack, but it at least made it easier to brace against the impact and stay on his feet. Just as he was staggering against the pressure of the larger male's attack and regaining his balance, he felt a pull at the weapon grasped between his teeth and with a quick glance toward his right he saw Toxicity pulling on the chain that connected his flail to its handle. He tried to hold on to the weapon, but the more he fought against her the more it threatened to topple his already compromised balance. He waited till she was about to pull on the chain again and timed it so that he let go of it to suddenly release the tension she was pulling against, hoping that would at least keep her off balance long enough for him to get in another attack. As soon as his teeth released the leather wrapped handle, he made a hard lunge toward Chimera, shoving his left shoulder blade harder into the man's chest while turning his head to aim a bite at the side of Chimera's neck. Plague shifted and Chi ended up slamming into his shoulder. The big, awkward weapon was, well... awkward. The young wolf didn't understand how it was supposed to do much of anything other than give someone a bit of a thunk. Toxicity even grabbed it. Her gaze indicated that she wanted him to pay attention to what she was doing and he inwardly huffed. Well, he had wanted to beat both of them but he guessed he would settle with just knocking Plague over for now. As Toxicity pulled, Chimera pushed. As he did so, the tri-colored brute sought to hook one of his half brother's legs for further affect his stability. How boring. He wasn't even going to be able to bite anyone today. His teeth itched and he'd really been looking forward to it. He supposed that after this, he would seek out Dalila and bite her instead. "Speech" |

As Toxicity pulled, Plague released the weapon. It sent Toxicity staggering back, but with a grin at her small victory. She steadied herself as Chimera and Plague tussled. It gave her a good moment to readjust her grip on her brother's weapon. He seemed eager to try it out, and now Toxicity wanted to see what it was all about. As her teeth gripped the handle, she couldn't help but to think the item was heavier than what she would want to work with. Her body felt more inclined to throw a muscle in her neck than to throw a good attack, but she decided to try again anyway. She kicked off towards the two men and swung her head to begin the flail's spin. As soon as she was near, she twisted her head and sent the flail's business end clamoring towards Plague's head just hard enough to give him a solid bonk on the noggin. In the same swoop she hoped the momentum would carry onto Chimera if they really wanted this to be an all out fight and not a two-against-one.
