It was sad news to the Warlord, to hear that Resin and co were packing up and moving a vast distance away. He had enjoyed being surrounded by those he considered family. With Venom on one side, daughter in all but name, and Resin so close to his Northern border, grandmother by adoption and previous Lieutenant under him. It ensued they were nearby, close enough for him to know if they were in trouble, and lend a hand where he could.

Now she was bringing Tamsyn, her pack, and their little ones to the Southern lands. So far from home. He could not begrudge her the decision, she always stuck him a wolf that liked to be alone. The lands nearby her had become rather crowded these days. He understood, but it saddened him all the same.

In the early morning hours, the man trotted to the borders she would soon be vacating, and howled near the scent markers. The least he could do was offer his aid for a time.

They were just about ready to go. Iolaire had converted the large cart into a sled. She and Tamsyn had sorted through the belongings that they'd acquired and had chosen what would stay and what would go. All that was left to do now was pack it all up and go. They would take all of the meat and furs. Everything else could be replaced.

A familiar howl sounded, bringing the scarred womans attention from her work. It seemed that maybe Sirius had come to say goodbye. Wrapping up the chunk of frozen meat in an oiled fur, Resin set it aside and moved towards the border.

Upon seeing the hulking form of her daughter's adopted brother, Resin gave a faint grin. "Sirius," she began in greeting. "Nice of you to visit before we leave." With a pull of her skull, she motioned him over the border. A border that he never had to acknowledge, but did anyway.

He wasn’t left waiting long, before the scarred and familiar face of his family appeared. He smiled at Resin, and dipped his head in polite greeting. One alpha to another. “Of course, I’m sad to see you go, but we’ll still visit you down in Auster.” not one for long goodbyes, he was much better at setting his attention to a task.

“Now, where do you need me?” he was an able body, and he wouldn’t feel right seeing Resin off without offering her what support he could. He truly respected the older woman, and was already planning to make room for time to go down and visit her.

It would be sad to leave the Armada and it's wolves so far behind far. It wasn't as though they'd be seeing one another for the last time though. The new territory was in the northernmost part of Auster. The journey between Hallows and Armada wouldn't be too terribly far.

When Sirius asked where he was needed, she chuckled. "I'm loading the cart full of frozen and dried meat at present. Furs will be added as well. You can help with that." The ashen fae led the man back towards the cart that she'd been loading. As they worked, she spoke some, sharing the details that led to the decision.

"So many packs in such close proximity have been driving predators inward in search of food. A friend of Indigos was killed recently by a pack of hyenas. I can't risk the children." Resin stil bite the healing wounds from that encounter. She cast the man a side eye with that line, golden orb. "Have you had such trouble?"

It seemed that so quickly, Resin had stepped away from the Armada to make something for herself. She had grown a pack just across the stream, and now, just as quickly, she was leaving. Moving the pack she had created to more fertile lands. Milder seasons passed in Auster as well, and wildlife grew there in abundance. In truth, Sirius might have brought his pack down there as well, if he did not have his loyalty to Venom to think about. Not to mention, from day one to current date he had been working and building in his pack lands. It would be hard to walk away from that.

Resin was quick to assign him a job, and he grinned at the familiar old wolf, and followed her into the territory. His grin faded some at Resin’s words. “I’m sorry to hear that. How’s Indigo taking it?” His son was soft hearted, and he worried a little, hearing how he had lost a friend. “Some coyotes got into the pack the other day, Kotori happened to step into their way. I gave him a few pointers.” well, he had smashed apart the group, and let his son corner one and take it down. It had been a good learning experience for the young wolf.

The pair began loading the wagon that would soon be on its way to a new home in a new land. As they worked, the two giant wolves spoke in conversational tones. She'd informed him of the death of a packmate and Sirius instantly asked about Indigo. "He's better now than he was." Indigo had been a wreck at first and Resin explained as much. The emotional boy had aided in killing the attackers before collapsing into a pile of grief. "He asked for Aslatiel and I sent for her. She's been here with him, making him eat and take care of himself." Without the girl, Indigo might have allowed himself to slowly drift away.

Resin listened as Sirius spoke of a pack of coyotes. Not nearly as bad as a pack of hyenas, but with young pups around, it could be a death sentence. The one-eyed fae gave a shake of her skull. "Too many packs, too close together." It would do all of the packs good to have one less in the vicinity.

"You and yours will always be welcome, should you care to make the trek. A vacation might be in order after the winter that I feel is coming." Sliding a particularly large fur onto the wagon, Resin settled back, looking at their work. Everything else could be replaced, but food and furs were a necessity. Eventually they would hunt enough to fill their stores with fresh meat, but until then, the preserved meat would be what they had.
