Taliesyn had loaned her his wide cave, and a fire crackled merrily in the sheltered place, tall enough that the stallion could have reared slightly before bumping his head on the ceiling. Aurielle padded to a stop, setting a sack of meat strips near the fire and turning to howl for the pack.
It wasn’t a meeting call, but one that invited the pack to gather if they wished. She would once again attempt to hold a story time gathering. A chance to bond and learn about each other. She could only hope that it was more successful this time, because the pack need all the bonding it could get.
She settled at the back of the cave, near Taliesyn’s hooves, unafraid of the closeness of such a large creature. Either they would come, or they wouldn’t, and she and the horse could share tales instead, and catch him up on what had passed since his mother had gone her own way in the world.

At first glance, Aurielle's coat is pure white.. Her fur has an iridescent quality (like moonstones) where the fur shimmers different colors under various angles of light: in this case, the colors shown by rainbow moonstones. Not one hair on her hide is a solid unnatural color, but, ya know, it's really hard to convey that in still art :P
Aurielle's English is heavily laden with an Irish, Swedish mixed accent.
Her family is allowed to crash all her threads, Private and Open.
As of Autumn Year 14, Aurielle glows with a bright blue-white bio-luminescence in her fur, and bears a marking over her left eye - see profile and reference.

He stood, a hind hoof resting, tucked in the back of the cave, watching the fire crackle. The warmth was noticeable, and enjoyable. Quietly, he pondered the stories he knew of, from his mother’s past, from his own. He wondered what Aurielle’s would be, and what the others that came might be.
His tail flicked lazily, leaving a brief light trail and his ears pricked, listening for those that might come as Aurielle sang for the pack and settled in. After a few minutes, he lowered himself to the ground, nested in the furs the Spirit had loaned him for the cave. It cushioned him against the stony ground, and it was a luxury he’d personally never known before, given his bands were nomadic.
The Spirit was very nearly tucked against his side, and he breathed a sigh of thought, still listening.

A soft smile rested on the hunter's face as happily she was carrying a fawn she just hunted, one that took her not time to bring down. Apparently, it was lost and their mother was nowhere to be found, so she took the chance and here it was now being placed into the prey storages. She was happy she could get it, that she could get a Hunter roll after so any months working hard to have her skills up. But there were still many more things the always asking female wished to learn. One shouldn't conform with just one, it was better if one did with more. Upon leaving her fill, a howl from her alpha made her feel happy. Quickly she made her way to the caves and there she saw a fire with meat stripes by it. ' What's this?' She thought in silence as she approached. But Aurielle wasnt alone as a horse of white coat and a horn lied there. Smiling she lied as well looking at both. "Hello! I am Aslaug." |

Cairo had been given forewarning of the new attempt at story time, and he had been gathering various cuts of meat for the event, and pieces of honeycomb. He wished, deeply, that Nolan could have been present for it, but he let the sadness settle to one side as he trotted down the path, ears perking as Aurielle’s call came.
He arrived nearly the same time as Aslaug, passing the young woman a brief grin from around the sack in his jaws. He set the sack down, unfolding it to reveal the meat and honey before he took a spot at Taliesyn’s haunch, paws crossing. It would be a while before the stories started, giving time for others to come.
Lia would have liked this… He shook the errant thought from his mind, making himself more comfortable with a stretch of his toes.

Ardyn fairly vibrated with excitement as he gathered furs over his back. It wasn’t the first time his mother had told him and his siblings stories, but this was to be the first Pack-wide story time held in a long time, and his very first. Once he was certain the furs were securely attached to his back, he broke into a trot down the ravine and out into the woods, following the trail that led to Taliesyn’s grotto.
His mother’s voice called to the pack, inviting them, and soon enough, Ardyn padded into the group, noting that Cairo had seemingly just settled in.
The boy smiled at those gathered, dumping his bundle of furs to the stony ground and spreading them, being sure to keep them at a safe distance from the fire, before he sprawled out on one that was closest to Aurielle, looking around with a torch tail beating the rug.

Ardyn at first glance is as black as can be imagined with a raven sheen.
Closer inspection proves that he shimmers in fire tones in every hair on his hide right down to his lashes.
More obviously, he glows like a bed of coals and flames with every movement and brush of fur. His tail is usually wagging, so blazes like a torch.
His adult teeth are in and his saber canines have grown to their full length (see profile). His mane and tail hair have grown to full length, as well as being lightweight and easily buffeted by breezes.
A look at his front paws will give the impression of hands, with his dew claw dropped low and lengthened into a functioning thumb, and his toes elongated into fingers. He has retractable, solid black cat-like claws on every paw.
Ardyn has developed a glowing mast of intricate markings in fire and ice colors over his face, symmetrical over the last seasons of Year 17 (see profile for details). During hunts or raids/sieges, he will smudge them out with black soot to cover the glow, otherwise, they are bright enough to note at first direct glance at his face. Not all his artwork currently portrays the mask markings.
He is also often bedecked in beads, small bells, feathers in blues, ribbons and braids thanks to the Ooze Event of Halloween 2021, and the Coathanger item that he got. The accessories generally are seen most in his mane and tail hair. He removes the brighter items and bells for hunts or battle.
Rhaegara heard the howl in a distance, her eyes widening as she glanced at Rhae. A goofy smile was on her features as she started to wander in the direction of the call. She was not rushing, and recognized the call as an invite and not a requirement. It wouldn’t be Rhae if she wasn’t curious. It was one of her more defining personality traits, after all. It wasn’t long before she was making her way to the wide cave, hearing the fire crackle after she caught it’s dim light travelling outward. Many had beaten her there, the horse Taliesyn whom she only knew from the Outlander fight, Aslaug whom she’d met at the writing lessons, Cairo, Ardyn, and of course, Aurielle who had made the call. She made her way in, settling down in an arbitrary location with a soft smile on her features. Walk ---- "Speak" ---- "Hear" ---- Think |

The group was small, but welcome, and the Spirit smiled at each who attended, though she was mildly surprised at some of the faces that hadn’t shown up. Oh well, there was always next time.
She stretched her toes, head cocking as she took them in announcing, “Welcome to Valhalla’s story time. This is an optional tradition, where we come together and share stories. Whether they’re myths from your homeland and culture, true stories about things you saw when you were on patrol or exploring…. Or history of our pack. Anyone who wants to tell a story is free to tell one.”
She smiled at each of them, then sat back with a tilt of her head, regarding the gathered faces as she asked cheerfully, “So, who’d like to go first?”
