ready fighter
raid meeting

OOC: Takes place after the general meeting. Tori is looking for 4 volunteers, particularly those who need a bump in their fighting skills. E.g expert folks who are nearly masters. It will be a 5v5 sort of thing, hopefully won't take too long. First round will end on sunday the 26th!
Moving aside, Hattori ventured off into the pale of the forest and waited for warriors to step forth. Though he would not force anyone to volunteer there were a few faces he wished to make an appearance, namely his cousin who had a lot to prove. The raid was mostly going to be an informal affair, no one was going to get hurt and nothing of true value was going to be stolen or seized. It was simply an exercise of strength, a test to see what areas needed further improvement after their former raid loss. And if this helped improve relations between The Hallows and Ashen then it was a pleasant side effect. He settled on his haunches as he recalled his conversation with Resin. They'd planned on the raid taking place come spring but since the Hallows' had moved early-for reasons he didn't yet know- he saw no reason to push this matter ahead too. If she had a problem he was certain he'd hear about it sooner or later. For now preparations were to be made. |

A raid was coming, one that just like the one they long ago did to the Armada was of mere practice, a joke in Hela's own vocabulary. As the sole Daimyo, she had a lot to prove. She could not keep up with the bad rate of victories versus defeats so she had been on the task of improving herself. Improving her skills and this Raid despite not being that serious still worked for Hela's interest, but she was aware that in this one maiming wasnt allowed. But she was fine with that, despite being somone prompt to cause pain wherever she went, she knew when it was better to be less violent. To be gentle. Calmly she walked toward the meeting place seeing Hattori there. Calmly and saying no word she sat down and looked at him in silence. She sat down with some distance from him and in silence she just waited. |

Strange, how quickly time seemed to move after both of her sisters had given birth. Calamity knew that children laid in wait for her, but not now and not soon. It was a good lesson to be able to nurture and teach without having the terrible weight of motherhood on her shoulders. That was too much to bear. First she had to seek answers for her own crises of faith and family. The practice raid would be a good way to begin - a chance to hone her skills, again, without any real risk. Calamity was still hanging on to her place in the pack but things had begun to shuffle around and she worried for the longevity of her rank if she did not prove herself loyal. There was no question of fealty to her family, but to Ashen at large... Well, that remained to be seen. Toxicity's children had needed attention at the last raid; they had been so small. Together with Obi she had watched over them while the rest of their fighters had participated. Although her antlers made her a formidable opponent, she was far from the only horned beast in their ranks now. Calamity arrived shortly after Hattori called them to assemble and patiently awaited further instructions.

Once the pack meeting as a whole finished up he lingered near where Hattori sat so that he could join in among those that wanted to volunteer for this practice raid. He had made some good strides in honing and perfecting his skills since reuniting with the pack at large, but there was still more to learn. It was also a wonderful distraction and something to keep him busy. The last thing he wanted was to give his mind too much room to wander. He settled next to Hela and Calamity, giving each of them a glance before focusing on Hattori once again. |

Lament appeared in short order, eager to take part in this raid. The last had seen him on the sidelines, but he wanted a more active role in protecting the pack. This raid may be ally against ally, but it was a chance to test his skills in such a setting.
When he arrived, he glanced towards Hela, the current holder of the Daimyo rank. Soon, perhaps after this raid, he would make his move. He had once been a leader, and still he felt the drive to be more than just a rank and file wolf. He wanted to teach and mold the next generation, and take an active part in this pack. HIs eyes moved back to Hattori, waiting to see what their first move was to start the raid.

Hattori wasn't left waiting for too long. Hela was first to approach, followed by Calamity, Plague and then Lament. Now that everyone had gathered the Shogun was quick to cut to the chase, it wasn't going to be an overly complicated affair but he wanted everyone to be on the same page nonetheless. And then once they were done here they could go about readying up and then make the journey to Auster. He stood tall as he began his explanation, his tone firm but not unkind. "To expand upon what I said before, this is to be a test raid against the Hallows. Until recently they were situated to the east but they have moved to Auster and claimed the castle there as their own. They have prepared a satchel of medicinal herbs within their territory, they shall fight to protect it and we shall attempt to claim it as our own. It is a well fortified location and will serve as a good challenge for you all." The terms were simple but Hattori thought it worked better that way, less room for error. And attacking a castle was bound to invoke some more interest in the raiders, if simply testing out their skills hadn't already done the job. "I do not think it will be an issue but for clarities sake I will say it all the same: you are not grievously injure or maim your opponents. And if you do then I will not stop their Aegis doing the same to you. Fight fair and fight well. Do you have any questions? " He finished, looking to the raiders each in turn. |

He cast a glance around the group at the wolves that had gathered as Hattori began to speak and felt pretty confident with the fighters that had decided to join in. Practice raid or not, he still wanted them to do well and have decent fighters in their party. He focused his gaze on the Shogun again, taking in the information about the location where The Hallows had moved to and the objective of the raid. Even though he didn't have much interest in a bag of herbs, he could still see the practical use of them and he was eager to take advantage of the practice either way. He nodded in agreement when the instruction was given to not seriously injure any of their appointments. It seemed fairly obvious to him that would be the case considering this was a pack that Ashen was friendly with and this was a practice raid to begin with, but supposed it was better to have it said than cause issues later. He smirked slightly when Hattori asked them if there was questions, to which he asked, "When can we go?" |

The Ademre sat patiently within the ranks of recruits. It did not pass his notice that this would be a chance to see Hela in action. She had gained the rank of Daimyo, and it would do him well to see what it was she had that had earned it. His eyes made their way back to his leader as Hattori spoke. The rules of engagement were simple. They would win, but not at the price of their self respect.
“No, my Shogun.” he said as he prompted them for questions. He would get his gear, warm his muscles, and be ready to show the might of the Empire the moment Hattori called for them.
