Oh, Abraxas! She cursed in her head as he turned and managed to get his jaws around her antlers. Not a single wolf had ever tried such a tactic before - mostly because it was a chancey move. Big risk, big reward. Unfortunately the raid's rules meant she couldn't force any lasting damage on him. If this were another fight, she'd twist in his grasp and shove a sharp tine right up into his eye. That would show him! But she would abide by the rules of engagement. Even trying such a move would be too dangerous. There were only centimeters between "I'm threatening to poke your eye out" and "one-eyed purple behemoth." Calamity was seething. She weighed her options quickly, then decided that her strategy was sound. She just needed to adjust her target. Stumbling back and forth with her antler stuck in his mouth wasn't a good look. The once-upon-a-time princess yanked her head suddenly to the side, hoping to jar his mouth roughly and poke a tine either into the roof of his mouth or catch the delicate skin of his lips between her tine and his tooth. A quick, hard pinch might be enough to get her out of his grasp and rush past him towards the prize!

Honestly, Indy was surprised that he’d caught hold of her weapons. The antler was oddly warm in his mouth, and it made the fact they were part of her more real. Indigo was quite the freak wolf and had no room to talk, but he hadn’t expected that. She wasn’t happy to be where she found herself, that much was obvious as she fought against him. He wasn’t able to readjust his grip and when Calamity shifted quickly her antler ripped from his lips. He was lucky not to suffer lacerations in his mouth but as antler hit tooth he knew his mouth was going to be sore for a few days.

Indy yelped suddenly as got his mouth away from her as fast as he could. She was still determined to get past him though, and unwilling to allow that even in an expected raid like this Indigo wouldn’t give up. Heaving the mass of his body Indy aimed to body slam the smaller she wolf, he’d tackle her if he could. She wasn’t getting anywhere near the bag of herbs if he had anything to say about it.

As the battle unfolded the man would realise his opponent was very young. She held herself like a wolf that was trying their best in an element fairly new to them. He felt himself cheering her on silently, even as he strove to win their battle.

He shoved his leg into her, and she sprang backwards, releasing him. The sudden change threw him off balance, and he drove his weight forward. The foreleg hiding ground hard. He didn’t let it slow him, bounding forward, and bringing the fight back to her again. His Caracol went in for a for leg bite, and his pheasant continued to trill. Lament himself aimed to drive his shoulder into her chest, his teeth seeking out her under jaw to grab.

Artorias kept his eyes focused on Plague, gauging the man's movements from the slightest twitch of his muscles to try and predict his moves. He saw the alabastrine wolf rear back to bring his flail into another swing, already tensed to move to the side to avoid when Plague let go of the weapon instead, hurling it at him like a projectile. Artorias sidestepped easily—and saw Plague's jaws go for his back. He lowered his body to the ground, timing his movements for when he felt the older wolf grab him by the back of his armor. Unfortunately for Plague, that was exactly what Art wanted. Now with Plague unable to pull back, Artorias swung his sword hard at the man's front legs, taking them out from underneath him and sending him toppling to the ground. The moment Plague was down, Art brought his sword back up and jabbed the blunt end directly into the white wolf's chest, simulating a killing blow had it been a real weapon in a real fight. Artorias locked fiery amber eyes with his downed opponent, letting him realize he had lost and waiting for his opponent to submit before he stepped back to allow Plague to stand, turning to survey the battlefield.

Much to his chagrin, Artorias saw that most of his pack had been defeated already. While disheartening, it spurred the boy to do even better and pick up the slack. His next closest opponent was a dark-furred female that was in the process of forcing his brother Rudyard into submission. With a growl, Artorias sprinted across the battlefield to intercept the Ashen wolf and avenge his brother's defeat, his raven swooping down to follow close behind him and keep up with his master. He ran up on Hela, wooden sword clutched tight in his jaws, and lunged for her, aiming to bring his sword down in his leap towards her face to stun her. Whether he hit or missed, Artorias would not allow a break in his pacing, using his momentum to turn as he landed before Hela and bring his sword back around in a horizontal blow aimed for her front legs in an attempt to topple the Ashen woman to the ground. Although he was young, he easily matched her in height as he was almost at his first birthday, but she had a good weight advantage over him. He would have to use speed and her own weight against her to win this fight.

Ulric was a good opponent, strong and capable and a worthy of the title as Templar. But ultimately the strongest wolf won and with a grunt Hattori shoved him back across the invisible wrestling line, marking the Shogun as the victor. He pulled in a long steadying breath, his sides heaving still as he looked across the castle grounds, where Ashen and Hallows wolves clashed without a drop of blood being spilled. Some fared better than others, with Lament and Hela holding their own well enough-as they should- whilst Venom's sister Calamity well and truly had her own hide handed to her. The Shogun had never seen the woman fight before and it was apparent she still had much to learn, that she needed to be pushed in the right direction if she still wished to continue down the warrior path.

He set his eyes on the wolf that bested her, a dark and looming young man with thick yet vibrant purple coat. He moved with a practiced confidence, as though fighting was something he'd done from an early age and Hattori wondered where he'd received his training. His methods were quite unlike the Shogun's and despite it all he found himself wondering how he'd fare against his shinobi ways. Only one way to find out. Hattori did not snarl or grumble to announce his intent, he simply stepped up before the yearling and dipped his head, polite and proper with no ill will to be found in his sharp gaze.

And then he launched himself forward, from zero to a hundred as he skirted to the side, shoulders steady as he prepared to crash into his bulk with the might of his reinforced bones.

Indigo drew himself up to his full height as he claimed victory, unwilling to allow his opponent even an inch of room. Calamity fought him hard, but there was no doubt that he was the victor in this fight. The massive violet beast had a calm sense of serenity around him despite the commotion around him. When he lifted his bright blue eyes he found the orange marked Shogun. Indigo easily returned to his defensive state, unwilling to allow the wolves of Ashen past his defenses even if this was a pre planned attack. The young Fatalis took his duties seriously, especially when it came to defending his home.

The more mature wolf made the first move, Hattori sprung at Indigo without warning. The massive boy braced himself, offering a jutting shoulder for the man to meet. He wasn’t given time to do much else. Indigo was forced a few steps back, but he wouldn’t allow the hit to slow him down. He returned fire, opening his massive sabered jaws and aiming to grab hold of the alpha’s scruff. At the same time trying to swipe his large cat like paw to pull Tori off balance or at the least scratch him with sharpened talons.

The fiery man's foreleg hit the ground hard, and Avantika couldn't help but wince in solidarity. But it didn't look like he was giving himself a break, of course, since they were still in a fight, and forced her to keep her focus on the said fight. She managed to move away from the caracal's jaws at first, but the wolf drove his shoulder into her chest and grabbed her under the jaw, holding her still. Rats. She wasn't going to be able to get out of that one. She stayed motionless for a few moments, acknowledging his victory, and then, just to be sure, also gave her submission verbally: "You win." She'd step back once he let her go and scan the battlefield for a new opponent. She had to redeem herself. Kaata swiftly caught her up on the results of the other fights that had happened while Avantika had been engaged in her own. "Rudy lost?" She smirked. She'd have to tease him about that later. Since she'd lost too, that showed that both of them needed to spend more time training. So the teasing had a purpose. She settled back to watch the rest of the raid play out, and sat down, just to make it even more clear that she had been knocked out of the running. It burned to just sit there while her packmates were fighting, but she reasoned that she'd probably be able to study some new tactics to try out on her own. As she expected it, she defeated the brat whose rat went after her to actually do what the raid wasn't allowed to do. But as it wasn't her problem she decided to let it pass for now. "Next time get your rat on a leash as it seems it doesn't follow orders." With that, she left them be as the adrenaline was pushing her to keep fighting. And she didn't have to wait as another pup rushed her way. A sigh of annoyance erupted from her lungs. Why the fuck she had to fight kids? She came here for an actual fight with someone she didn't have to refrain from fighting with more freedom to attack as she wanted but of course without maiming. A wooden sword? She was actually pissed at being insulted like that. Well, she just needed to put this other pup on its place like she just did to the other one. Quickly as he swang his sword toward her place she would attempt to turn slightly to her left with her left paw helping her for then attempting to catch the boy's jaws between her own to get them shut. Due to that, the second sword blow would miss for instead hitting her on her shoulder. Artorias was frustrated to find that neither of his strikes made contact with his opponent, but it did allow him to continue moving. Since his momentum hadn't been stopped with impact, he was able to easily sidestep Hela's snapping jaws at his face, paws moving deftly to bring himself around to square up with her. He growled around the sword in his mouth, daring her to actually make an attempt at an attack. Artorias sprung at his opponent, tossing his sword toward her head. It was a feint attack, of course, but it was his plan to get her to avoid getting smacked in the face by a flying sword, all the while the boy leaped at her with jaws and teeth aimed for where her neck and shoulder met, attempting to bite down and get a hold of her so he could try and gat her into a submission hold or a pin and end this fight before it began.

The boy was strong, Hattori would give him that. He raised a shoulder to meet the Shogun's advance but did not simply leave it at that. Wielding his sabres he was quick to make a grab for the Shogun's scruff, had he gotten a hold he would have had the outright advantage, able to steer him to his benefit. But like the crack of a whip Hattori snapped his neck out of reach, eyes gleaming and focused as they narrowed in on the blur of purple as he raised a paw to slash at him. It made sense to use what tools he had at his disposal but in raising a paw off the ground he gave Hattori the opening he needed to force the boy off balance.

Gritting his teeth he doubled down, taking the brunt of his swipe against his strengthened shoulder as he kicked in deep and forced forward with all his might.

The bulk of Indigo’s weight lie in his front half, his hips and rear legs were strong and built well but he had a massive chest and heavy arms. Even with one paw off the ground the boy was difficult to move, not that Hattori didn’t try. He was big and didn’t move as fast as smaller counterparts but he could still have his opponent do the work for him. Hattori surged forward again and Indigo would aim to use the man’s momentum against him. He could barely move fast enough to get out of the main sphere of influence but he twisted his body.

If he managed what he wanted both of them would wind up on the ground, he wanted to be seated atop Hattori in victory but the game wasn’t over yet and he might just end up the one with his face in the dirt.

She herself snarled at the brat as she was slowly losing her temper as she was really pissed for having to fight a fucking pup. White fangs poked out from her lips as the male dodged her snap, now tossing the sword toward her face. Quickly she moved her head to the side so instead of her face she would get hit in her neck. Then as he went to bite her in her neck, she would attempt to slam into his open jaws with the place he was intending to bite wanting to use his strength against himself.
