She had been bested, but as Kati swept in, she assessed herself quickly, then nodded, nudging his shoulder with her nose. “I’m alright, thank you, Kati.” She gained her paws and took stock of the field, noting her son had come out of his fight with Eligos victorious. Was something wrong with Eligos? Ardyn looked puzzled, staring off into the blizzard. As she judged the numbers, she gave a faintly satisfied hum, before she slipped into the blizzard, her target spotted. Loshir, understanding her intentions, moved the other way, and the two hoped to corral the man with a… teapot? He’d bested Domari, so she was wary. She bolted forward out of the whiteout, hoping to come in from behind, at an angle to Iroh’s left shoulder, one eye on his head, while Ayodele kept an eye out for any companions the man might have. Loshir held back, shrouded in the still very much whiteout conditions, waiting for Aurielle’s signal. Aurielle sought to rake her canines over the man’s left side, aiming to trace the ribs behind his left elbow as she threw her right shoulder forward, aiming to jam the point of it and the hardened armor over it into Iroh’s lower gut. He was too big by comparison to her size to knock over, not with how she’d sought to attack, but she hoped to pack a punch and slam the wind out of him. Iroh was slightly surprised by his victory, after all Aerie was outnumbered and as their numbers dwindled he felt like they were also underskilled. That was the purpose of this whole fiasco though wasn’t it? Experience and information? Iroh wasn’t so satisfied but then again he was far from leadership of the pack too.

Sarabi lifted herself to his back, her weight settling on his hips as she scanned the area with her more precise vision. He was the last one standing, and keeping en eye on all of the other pack wolves was quite the task. Still, neither wolf nor mandrill missed the leader fading into obscurity. Iroh lowered his head with suspicion, his features following her and the sneaky companion as they tried to sneak up behind him.

Iroh would use the same tactics himself, his massive dark furred body blended in with the shadows so when the woman sprung they were face to face. Iroh had his teapot in the ready and as she leapt forward Iroh would attempt to swing his cast iron pot in a direct hit to her forehead.

Luckily, she was already watching his head, and as the man moved to swing she swayed to the side to her left, abandoning her initial attacks, then whipped her head back to the right, aiming to slash her canines over Iroh’s neck along the right side in a quick, in and out strike, careful to aim high enough that if she hit, he’d only be lacerated lightly. With canines like her own, there was a lot of training that went into precision, not just to plant a good, devastating slash or bite, but to avoid seriously harming someone she was merely sparring. As she slashed, she sought to snap her right foreleg up, weight shifting to her other three paws before she aimed to stamp her right forepaw down on the toes of Iroh’s right front paw, her own toes curling slightly to bring the bear claws on her bracer into play for a light stab of the points between his toes, hoping to get him to flinch away. Her haunches had gathered the moment she’d seen him facing her instead of his side, and she was ready to move away if needed. Ayodele, in the midst of all of this, launched from Aurielle's back, aiming to slam into the head of the mandrill, aiming to cling like a burr to the larger primate’s face or head, obscuring her vision or at the very least providing distraction as she aimed a piercing howl toward the monkey’s ears. Loshir, taking the signal for what it was, sprang from the blizzard, taking stock and acting in a matter of breaths, seeking to pounce at Iroh’s front end from the man’s left side and swipe his right front paw into the man’s left front leg at the ankle, hoping to hook it and yank it toward himself and unbalance the man. His attack wouldn’t connect and Iroh would let the momentum carry him through and out of the way of Aurielle’s slashing fangs and wild feet. He didn’t let go of his weapon in favor of fangs, even through the gang up that was happening. Sarabi wasn’t given any kind of free ride this time. The Mandrill was the center of attention as a shrieking beast leapt from the woman’s back. Sarabi was in her prime, she trained alongside him, and taught Iroh much of what he knew. She had experience from her husband Benkos, the most fearsome mandrill in all of Boreas. The primate leapt up, aiming to bounce off the lemur’s shoulders as she aimed a jumping kick towards the mountain lion that aimed at Iroh’s feet.

As the onslaught continued Iroh would aim to pivot and again aim to slam his weapon into his opponent. This time he aimed for her hips, while he wasn’t eager to make permanent injury he knew the devastation a full blown hit could really do.
