Awaken x Mercianne litter
07-15-2013, 08:20 PM
For those of you that don't know, my wolf Mercianne and Awaken, her mate, are expecting puppies on the 10th of August. c: But I'm not sure either me or Souleater are really looking to take on one of the pups ourselves so that means three little bundles of fur available to whoever wants them. (if either of us change our minds, I think we can audition just like the rest of you c:)
We have these designs already picked out, as well as names which are listed inside the code, but you are free to make designs of your own and name them. Keep in mind that Mercianne likes nature-rooted names and you should be good.
To apply, just pick a pup you'd like to have and write up a personality that meets the new site requirement of 150 words along with a role play sample (mainly because I'm curious and would love to see them in action). We'll be choosing players as we see fit.

Name: Crow
Personality: As a pup, Crow is very shy. He hardly ever speaks to strangers and tends to stay close to his family. He can often be found hiding behind his mother's legs and peeking out at the world around him. The only wolves he really opens up to are his parents and siblings. If you do manage to get him to relax around you he is very sweet and will try his best to make you happy. He hates being upset and he hates seeing other wolves upset so he'll do everything he can to fix the problem. He has a big heart and is very bright for someone his age. He soaks up any information his parents give him like a sponge.
As he gets older, this brute grows into a gentle giant. He's very quiet and doesn't often speak unless he is spoken to. Sometimes this can give wolves the impression that he isn't very smart, but this is not the case. His mind is constantly working, continually thinking, endlessly calculating. He saves his words for when they are meaningful so he is not usually the type to engage in small talk. He grew out of his shyness for the most part, but one still wouldn't call him outgoing. He is extremely kind and gentle and is slow to anger. The only thing anyone could do to get under his skin would be to hurt his family. They are precious to him and if anyone were to hurt one of them he would take his revenge without hesitation. He is a family man and, just like his father, has a weak spot in his heart for puppies.
RP Sample: "Oh! Mom! Look at this!" he bounced over to a plant over at the base of a tree, pointing at it with his paw and looking back over his shoulder at her. He had convinced his mom to let him go out looking for herbs with her and he was soaking up the attention while he could away from his siblings. He saw her smile and her paw gently turned him away from it saying, "That's poison ivy, dear. Don't touch that." He blinked up at her and glanced over at the plant in question long enough to commit the look of it to memory so he would know in the future that it was bad. His ears perked up when he heard someone approaching and immediately he ducked behind his mother's forelegs, his ears pinned back to his head. He peeked out from around them, seeing the familiar sight of his father standing there. A smile stretched across his muzzle and he hopped over to his father, bumping the large brute's forelegs playfully with his cranium. He looked up at his father happily only to have his siblings come tumbling into him with a thud. He should've known they would be with him! He rolled around on the ground, the three pups a tangle of black, gray, and white fur. When they finally came to a halt he had pinned down his sister, but his brother was laying on top of him, making him into a sandwich. Crow grinned and waited as their mother gently pulled them apart before he stood and shook out his fur. Not exactly how he planned to spend his day, but oh well. Playing was just as fun and helping mom find stuff!

Name: Clover
Gender: Male
Appearance:
As a newly born pup Clover will only exhibit the white fur that covers most of his body, The tips of his fur slowly will change to black along his back, shoulders, side and thighs. His forehead will display the same color as well as his ears, and finally the tip of his tail will look as though it's been dipped in ink. From baby blue his eyes will change to a vibrant clover green which he will carry the rest of his life.
As he grows older he will change from stocky pup to elegant wolf. His legs will elongate and his body will fill out. As a full adult he will be a beautiful male specimen, showcasing lean muscles impressive figure and a kind face. His proportions will be beautiful a slightly elongated tail will decorate his hindquarters while dainty paws tip his elegant legs. A slim intelligent snout will be shadowed by his rather large ears.
Personality:
Pup:
Nervous Perception: From an early age the small boy will pick up on his mother's nervousness. He will be incredibly perceptive of it and will exhibit the same reaction even though he doesn't realize the situation. Especially in his early years Clover will be able to pick up on his mother's mood easily. As he grows older this perception of auras will increase so he not only collects nervous energies but those of other emotions as well. With age the ability to keep himself from being consumed by strong emotion will emerge. He wont be in a constant state of changing moods as he comes in contact with others.
Friendship Anxiety: Because he is so easily malleable when it comes to his emotion the thought of being in anyones company is daunting. With the exception of his family, for the most part, everyone he comes into contact with rubs off on him he is a mirror to any emotion shown. If he's around a large group it gets incredibly hard to focus on what he's feeling and quickly becomes an emotional wreck. Until he gets older he'll always get sick when he's found himself surrounded by other wolves. It's not that he doesn't like company, he just can't take everyone at once.
Photographic Memory: If you need someone to remember a bit of information for you it's best to give it to Clover. He's got the memory of an elephant and can take you to any place he has ever been. He remembers facts with ease and loves to go out collecting herbs with his mother. He wants to know what every plant in the forest is called. His interest in flora much outweighs that of the fauna. He enjoys learning about his fellow creatures but he adores learning about plants. He's ashamed to admit to himself that he wishes he were able to be vegetarian. He's always looking at what new ways he can combine plants to have different effects.
Gentle Heart: The thought of death sickens Clover, even the thought of his prey's death makes him queasy. This makes eating incredibly difficult for him and it takes much of his willpower to ingest the life giving substance. He despises violence and aggression, and with his heightened emotional state he finds it difficult to be around those emotions. He always seeks out the company of the peace keepers, those who are fair, and those of a kind heart.
RP Sample:
Mommy said we were going to a meeting today! I wonder what that is..? With careful footsteps the pale pup walked forward behind his siblings, he had heard the howl just as they had. He was quite confused about it though, he'd heard a lot of howling since he'd been born but this one was a little different. He'd never been told to come by anyone except for his parents. What would could such a howl mean? His eyebrows furrowed in his moment of frustration. Would there be other wolves there as well? His mother seemed a bit timid since they'd heard the summons, he could feel himself tensing with each step they took. How long would they even need to walk before they arrived?
As soon as he was sure that they would be walking for the rest of his life he found himself at the feet of a stranger. He was huge, even bigger than daddy. He felt his ears pull back as his own fear washed over him. He couldn't tell what the beast felt, only that he wanted to be out of his gaze. With his tail swept beneath his body delicate ivory paws carried him behind his mother silhouette and away from the gaze he wished to avoid. He turned his head in case he might see the other wolf, and was greeted with another being, just as massive. He squealed and backed into his mother's side, now surrounded. More and more new faces found their way into the clearing, with each new presence Clover grew more anxious.
He could feel his stomach clenching and he wished he could just be back home again in their warm den. Just he and his family, none of the horrifying strangers. Whimpers slipped from his throat with more intensity as he willed this meeting to be over. He attempted to get his mothers attention, to beg her to take him away from the awful place, "Mom, we have to go I'm scared and my tummy hurts." He could feel tears welling up in his eyes as the pain started to increase. He had to get away now. He tugged at his mother's fur, his efforts completely useless. As his tears finally brimmed over their rims he let loose a sob and ran as fast as his feet would take him away from the clearing. With only a few bounds between he and the other wolves his feet became tangled underneath him. A lurching feeling welled up inside and before he could even get up to dust himself off the contents of his stomach were forced onto the ground. Covered in dirt, vomit, and tears he called out for his mother helplessly, "Momma!"

Name: Emery
Appearance:
Personality: Emery is a pup full of strong will and determination. He is adventureous and is scared of very little, heading into things head first without thinking through the consequences. He is daring, though not necessarily disrescpectful to those who are in charge of him. He longs to be a skilled fighter, and vows that some day he will be able to beat his father in a spare. He has a stubborn attitude, for once he makes up his mind it is very hard to change it. Emery does have a warm heart, and a more chivilrous type of wolf. He is very sweet to females and tolerates males with a kind heart. He is a good listener and would never leave a friend with a problem unsolved. When Emery actually sits down before diving into things he can be a good problem solver.
RP Sample:
The day was warm, especially with summer being right around the corner. The young pup rose from his place beside his siblings and parents, padding to the entrance of the den with a curious look upon his face. He took in a deep breath of fresh air. There were many different scents that came into the entrance of the den. Prey scents, herb scents, the scent of water. He looked over his shoulder, watching his parents with a curious look on his face. He was still quite young, as his siblings were too. They were all such tiny creatures, just starting to eat meat. Emery loved the taste of meat... it made him all the more curious of the outside world that he had yet to explore. Taking a breath he scurried out of the den entrance into the world above.
It was bright. Very, very bright. The pup blinked his eyes a couple of times, trying to get used to it. His ears perked up as he heard some birds start chattering overhead. 'This is amazing!' He thought. He knew his parents didn't want him straying from the den but he couldn't resist just being outside for a while. He sat down near the den entrance, his tiny tail thumping into the soft dirt underneath him. He could see grass going for miles in every direction, as well as the blue sky with spotty white clouds. Oh it was so beautiful to see. The pup tilted his head back, letting out his first, happy howl.

Name: Sage
Gender: Male
Appearance: here his other eye is green
Personality: Happy, Curious, Dreamy, Caring, Smart , Lonely
As a puppy, Sage will be very curious. Always following his mother around. When he's not beside his mother he'll be away looking for herbs. Herbs are a fascination to him and one day he hopes to be a medic. He has a very caring personality but if he has to, he will be harsh. Although he is not the most energetic and bouncy of the litter, he makes up for it by being quick. Sage sometimes gets overwhelmed by things and if something bad happens he might not speaks for days. Often enough, Sage will think about something and completely forget about what he was doing in the first place. He spends about an hour every day just staring into space. Every few days, Sage will join in a romp with his siblings, enjoying the freedom. Sage tends to catch on to things quickly, quicker than most adults credit him for. Because of this, he often goes unnoticed and finds out things that he wasn't meant to hear.
RP Sample:
Basil, Rosemary, Yarrow and Sage! My favowite! I finally remembered dem all. Sage was counting the small herbs near his den. He whiffed up the scents with his little puppy nose and yipped. He just loved herbs! A new smell caught his attention nearby, a new herb perhaps? He padded over, nose in the air, the scent was almost, soft and ... floaty. Sage found a small purple plant, the soft scent smothering it. A name was coming to him. La-La-Lavender? Yes! It's LAVENDER, WOO HOO! the little pup attempted a howl but it came as a little squeel, Sage was proud of it nonetheless. He skipped back to the den, a sprig of lavender in his mouth. When he got there, he found none if his siblings there. Oh, He dropped the sprig of lavender and curled up to sleep. I'll find them tomorrow.

Name: Faye/Raven/Mute/Soul (Can't decide on a name...so if I get her then I will do a poll or something lol)
Appearance: I want the female pup that you have for #1 :) (With her design since its really nice)
Personality: This girl is a very quiet soul. The reason being, because she's Mute. She was born without a voice, not knowing why. Though she's quiet on the outside, she is full of questions and curiosity on the inside. Her lack of voice has not deterred her from learning about the world, or even communicating with others. She finds different ways to communicate, though it is hard for her to convey what she is feeling. Many think that this poses a problem, and that she'll never amount to being a warrior of any kind. Though as a pup, she has plenty of time to develop before she decides what she wants to do. Shy, quiet, and extremely loyal to the bone, she won't ever let anyone down. Curiosity is instilled into her bones, and so she will often go off on exploration excursions to discover new things close to her home. Despite the fact that she is unable to speak, she lacks the nervous gene that seems to have been passed down to her brothers. She very much likes to be around her Father, as sometimes her brothers annoy her with their constant nervousness. That is obvious in the way she always rolls her eyes when she finds them to be ridiculous at times. However, this girl is very gentle at heart, thus helping those she encounters.
When it comes down to it, she will fight for her family, friends, and her pack. Never backing away if the intruder is threatening them. And though she can't speak, her bite is most definitely worse then her bark. She eventually learns extraordinary fighting and tracking skills, as a result of her other senses becoming more powerful with her lack of speech. This young girl is always the observant one, most times she is able to tell if a wolf is troubled, angry, upset, sad, or any other emotion. She uses her eyes to "speak" and communicate, as it is indeed a window to the soul that resides within each creature. Still, most misunderstand her and simply push her to the sidelines. She sometimes gets depressed as a result of being unheard...she dislikes to be ignored, and wishes one day to find someone who will understand her and take the patience to learn how to interpret what she is trying to say, someone who is understanding and wanting to be with her. She longs for someone like that, and can't wait for the day.
Even with all that, she is a bouncy ball of fur who is always excited to learn the next thing. Sometimes though, she will go off into the forest close to home and sit under the stars to think. Silently asking the stars why she was punished with no voice...she sometimes hates herself for it, and wishes that something would end her misery. Simply put, on the outside she's like the shining sun. On the inside, she feels alone.
RP Sample:
The girl followed her family into the den to sleep for the night. Tail hung half towards the ground as her siblings jumped around and chatted excitedly about this or the other about their day. She followed quietly, wishing she could tell her mother and father about what she had found while exploring behind their den. She had seen a blue morph butterfly, something that was not commonly seen in these parts. The beautiful blue of its wings intrigued her, and though she wanted to catch it and show her parents, she didn't want to kill it. So she had let it fly away to continue its life. She quietly sighed, following everyone inside and tucking next to her Father. She stared with Emerald green eyes at the dark shadows that stretched themselves across the ground. She listened to the quiet rumbles of her siblings and parents falling into a slumber. But she...she could not sleep. After a couple hours, she glanced around to ensure that her family was asleep before rising on silent paws, and left the den. She wandered outside, her dark pelt keeping to the shadows in case a warrior was up and about. She had decided to go to her secret spot, a small glade in the nearby woods where she often went to think.
Upon arriving, she walked to the center and sat down. Eyes and ears focused on the stars above. She looked up, wishing how she longed to be able to speak...but there was no herb, no ointment, nothing she knew of that could make her speak. Why was I cursed with this...why can't I be normal and talk? I want to tell my parents things the way my brothers can. I want to tell them how excited I am about the things I find, and ask them questions about hunting and fighting and herbs...why was I punished with this? It's not fair!!! She silently yelled to the sky as tears began to fall. She hated that she couldn't speak, hated that nobody could hear what she had to say except for the occasional moan or grunt that would escape from her mouth when she tried. She startled when she felt something brush against her. Her head whipped around, but nothing was there. But...she could feel someone...she stared into the darkness, and soon a swath of stars appeared to form the silhouette of a wolf. She stared in awe, and then it spoke; "Do not fret, child. You have a gift that is far beyond anyone in this land. You have a pure heart, and always will. Do not curse yourself, or the stars. You are one of a kind, and you will come to be rewarded in good time. You will grow to be someone great, and all of Alacritis will thank you for it. You will be a leader of leaders, one of the best there has ever been. Stay strong little one, and do not give up. You will see." Moments after it spoke, the form strode up to her. The small girl looked at it, its form sparkling in her eyes as it bent its beautiful head down to nuzzle her. She was not sure if it was real or not, but she could smell the warm scent coming off the star made she-wolf. She then watched as it touched her nose. And as soon as it pulled back, it gazed at her and vanished.
The girl was left alone in the clearing once more. She stared at the stars again, silently thanking them. Then returned back to the den and curled up with her Father, and slept. Dreams began to appear to her, ones she had never had before. And knew, that the starred wolf had given her a gift.

As with all my first tries at a personality, I try my best to describe what I think I'll be playing, but certain traits may end up being bolder than others)
Crow is a very subtle, quiet, even thoughtful soul. He has a depth of spirit that, much like his coat, has all sorts of shades and sides and surprises. There's something rather unworldly about him, even as a pup. For instance: He might spend a whole morning just sitting his rump on a stone and watching the sunrise, and then come back inside and, when asked what he was doing, say that he didn't remember. Or at another time: He might he told some story or legend by his parents and spend the next three days making up a little song or poem about it. He is very talented at such things, and even dabbles a little bit at mud painting on stones and cave walls.
Something of an older race stirs in the boy's viens, and sometimes it takes a darker turn...he is his father's son after all. But even at his most distant times, there is an everpresent love for his parents and his siblings and the extended family of those around him that he gets to know. When he meets someone, he seeks, not just to know their name and their face, but their whole being. Their soul. He's rather deep for a pup, and sometimes his thoughts run away with him, but he's still very capable of being a part of a family and a pack. As he gets older, all this time spent in observation pays off and he'll become an extrememly talented hunter - making it all look easy by the time he's a yearling. As for fighting, no doubt he'll learn that too, but he'll always be very wary of violence. Deep down inside, he knows he enjoys it too much.

"Crow! Crooooooww!"
The boy with the brown eyes didn't look up. Didn't stir an ear. Didn't flick his tail. He didn't hear his mother calling for him. All he knew was the sun and the pines and the fresh thawed earth. He'd been sitting in this little clearing for some time, just smelling the resin of the trees, and the moist, earthy scent of the soil. What an amazing thing was this time called Spring. He'd never experienced anything like it. It stirred something within him - some sense of life and energy and rebirth. How could his siblings he mucking about, trampling everything with their games, when there was such beauty to be gaze at right here?
Truth be told, he hadn't found this little corner on his own. He'd followed a stray trail of ants, all carrying tiny white bundles as they moved from their home in one tree to a new home in another. On careful pale paws, he'd followed, noticing that he had to step with the utmost balance or he'd shiver the earth and frighten them. Big round eyes, the color of hazelnuts had watched the many-legged things march along their merry way until he'd found the little thicket-ringed clearing. He'd had to half slide half crawl in under a tangle of brambles, but it was worth it. His own quiet place in the big wide world.
As he sat there, breathing in and out, he mused that maybe, just maybe, he'd bring his mom here. The boy loved his mother - she was so calm and beautiful and graceful. She would understand, he told himself. She would like it here. It was then that the calls finally reached his ears. That was her! That was Mother! Crow twisted around - the sunlight gleaming off his black markings as he bounded to the bramble 'door' and back out into the world. "Mother!" he called as he neared the white fae. "Mother can I be your ant?"

Holy crap, so much more than I expected on this. >.<;
Well, I'm going to go ahead and say this is closed because I have a problem. It's becoming obvious to me that I really am not capable of making decisions and there was a tough one that needed deciding here, but basically everyone is getting their pup. Yay! xD
For Shelby and Clash, however, I have a question for the two of you. :s If either of you really, really want your pup (and I would love for you to want them because I do), I'd be completely okay with one of you choosing a different name (if you possibly had another name in mind) and having the two boys be a set of twins.
I just suck at making up my mind and I'd happily keep them both since I still can. x3 Just let me know if this would be agreeable to you both and we'll go from there.
EDIT: Sorry, Azaya. :s I didn't realize you had posted while I was writing this, but I'm still going to have to close the adoptions.
