Fontamo Bay

Come down, come down sweet reverence
Jynn trotted along the sparkling sands of the beach. Fontamo Bay was a lovely place. There were large branches of drift would here and there along with a number of seashells. Some were red, others gold and some purple. She wished she'd brought along a bag to gather some of the shells. At the moment the tide was out, but small rivulets remained where the ocean had cut miniature streams into the sand. The ocean water grew a darker shade of blue the farther it stretched out toward the horizon. The sky was clear and brilliant blue though off to her west she could see a row of clouds moving in, some were white and others a deeper blue, almost gray. One section of clouds was growing into a tower, filtering the sun's rays. That was to be expected with spring storms moving into Auster. To her left there was a sheer, deep brown cliff and out into the bay she could see three islands, each covered in greenery. Oooo she'd need to go swimming out there, again!
Grinning, she turned back to face Álarr. "Well, ready to start your vacation?"

Huzzah! Álarr was glad that they had made it down the trail in one piece and with minimal injury. He had a few bruises but all things considered he was in good shape. White sand beaches stretched before him and he eyed the layout of the land before choosing a nice dry patch next to some driftwood. If he was correct he didn't need to worry about the tide sweeping up on him in the middle of a nap here. He looked to Jynn and nodded. "I think I'll take in the sights a bit more then settle down for a nap. I appreciated your company on this journey."

"No problem!" Jynn noted the sincerity in the man's voice and she was glad he appreciated the effort. Granted it was just as much for her as it was for him but it was nice when goals aligned. While Álarr was content to rest and take in the sights, Jynn was a more active explorer. She set he nose to the ground and started tracking across the sand. At one point, as she got a little closer to the water, a little jet of water squired up at her from underneath the sand. She jumped back and eyed the little hole that remained. What the heck was that? Some kind of clam or something?

Álarr watched as some seagulls hovered in the air not to far out from the beach before they swooped down into the sea. He supposed this was a good spot to fish if one had the talent for it but for now he was content to just soak up the sun. His toes spread as he massaged the sand, taking in the sensation. He listened to the sound of the waves rolling in and out and felt more relaxed than he had in a long time. He chuckled a bit as he watched Jynn messing around with buried shellfish before he closed his eyes to drift off to sleep.

Jynn eyed the spot where the water shot at her, giving it her full focus before she sprang into the air, paws landing right over the hole as she started to dig furiously. Sand was sent flying through the air until at last she seized a clam in her jaws. She had no idea how to eat the thing but she was sure she'd find a way. Jynn looked about for a good place to settled down and eat her meal. She spied a swatch of beach grass and decided to settle down there. No doubt the seagulls would catch on that she had a snack and she didn't want the pesky birds stealing from her.
