Jynn could hear the ocean and knew they were getting close. They were working their way around a large rocky hill, or small mountain depending on one's perspective. When she saw the entrance her curiosity got the better of her. "Hey Bowen, I just want to take a quick look inside this cave." She left it up to the girl if she wanted to follow or not. Jynn knew some wolves were very uncomfortable going into caves.

Jynn slipped into the dark and gasped in astonishment. She was in a deep, dark cave but the floor had several strange glowing pools. Tendrils of mist rose from the bright violent, pink, coral and blue pools. Up head she could see similarly colored mist, curling out of other openings in the cave. What the hell was this place?

To yet another land they went, Bowen following diligently alongside Jynn who was clearly the more experienced explorer when it came to land. Bowen quite liked the woman and their conversation was easy and far from stressful. The girl wanted to ask if she could travel further with her new friend, but she didn't want to wear out her welcome. As they moved, the dark opening of a cave caught Jynn's eye. She gave Bowen the option to stay outside and the girl laughed. A cave couldn't be much worse than the cramped hold of a ship, so she trudged right in behind her. Once inside, Bowen blinked a few time, trying to see if her mind was playing tricks on her. Pools of varying luminescent colors were scattered across the space. "It's actually kind of pretty in here, don't you think?" Bowen gave a little tilt of her head and looked towards Jynn who was illuminated in pinks and greens. "Bowen"

Jynn padded closer to one of the pools. She was very tempted to touch it but she also didn't know if it would melt her foot off. "Yea, it really is. What do you think makes these pools glow like this? There's a lake in the north that has bioluminescent plankton that glow blue when you touch them but this looks different." She bent her head to get a closer look and suddenly felt light-headed. She stumbled back and fell on her butt, blinking rapidly. "Whoa… that… that is a smell. I don't…." she looked to Bowen and cocked her head to the side. "Umm… why do you have a chicken on your head?" What the heck was going on?

Jynn falling somehow pushed a rock into one of the pools. It splashed and a bunch of the noxious gas wafted straight into Bowen's face. The girl blinked heavily, trying to get rid of the weird streaks that were now sliding across her eyeballs. "Hey Jynn, I..." turning her head, Bowen squinted at the older woman as she said something about a chicken. Since Jynn was looking up, Bowen raised a paw and tapped the top of her own head, making sure that nothing was there. "Chicken?" Her head gave a tilt before she gave it a shake. Bowen's head was beginning to throb and she looked back towards the well lit entryway. The cave was pretty, but mad did it make everything slow and thick and juicy. "I don't think we should be in here when the bears come home." Wait. What did that even mean? Were there bears in here? Why didn't anyone tell her that there were bears in here?! "Jynn we gotta go. Bears." The girl gestured with both paws and nearly fell over into one of the pools, but caught herself at the last minute with a little giggle. "Bowen"

Jynn watched with amazement as Bowen reached up a paw and it went through the chicken. She scrambled to her feet. What the fuck…. She blinked again and shook her head. When she looked again at Bowen the chicken was gone.

Bowen mentioned something about bears and it took her a moment to even process the word. She nodded rapidly. "Yea, bears. Big blue bears we definitely should go." She leapt toward the opening of the cave, stumbling as she went. She was just about to exit when she smacked her nose right into a rock. "Ow, fuck!" For some reason it struck her as incredibly funny and she kept laughing even as she stumbled out into the light of day once more.

"Big, big bears" Bowen kept repeating in her mind. Mostly because it sounded funny, but also to remind herself why they had to leave. They couldn't fight bears. Not in this weather. Jynn turned and mentioned that the bears would also be blue. "Big, big, blue bears." Bowen started saying this aloud a few times and the words felt funny on her tongue. She had been looking up at the dark, abyssal ceiling when Jynn crashed into the rock wall. She didn't see it, but Jynn laughing made Bowen laugh as well. Ugh, they needed to get out of here. Looking around, Bowen noted that Jynn was already out of the cave and hurried to catch up. "Bowen"
