Dimosthenes was very glad that it was winter. He was walking on hard ice right now. For the first few steps onto the ice that must have made this area into a horrible marsh when it wasn't frozen, he'd put his paws down carefully, leaning his weight slowly onto each foot. But it hadn't crashed in at any point so far, and so he figured that he was safe to walk normally. And now he was almost to an island. The island had a single willow tree on it that looked like a great landmark to look at. It looked significant. Dime believed in destiny, sometimes, and this looked like a place of destiny. Or maybe it was just a tree, and he was just an insignificant little wolf. "Speech" |
