Stepping out onto the Battlefield, Hattori was eager to test out Yaeume's skills. His son seemed to think she was capable and strong, but how would she fare against a wolf of her own size? Equipped with his weapons and armour, his companions were quick to flock to his sides. Ready to begin at a moment's notice. With a gesture of his paw, Hattori would allow the pale pink shinobi to make the first move. He saw the largeness of her paws, the claws digging out from between her toes. He would do well to avoid being scratched, but her teeth were something he'd also need to be wary of. No doubt ready to sink into flesh, rip and tear if she had to.

Ume was once again in the arena she fought not too long ago, but this time someone different would be her opponent. Hattori, a wolf she did saw back in the day, at Iga, but didnt have a clear memory of him. But his family was known by hers, but never really had a direct interaction so all she knew of him was his Surname and his appearance. And it was surprise to know he was the father of the pup that fought her before. She stood before him, notting his servants(companions, thats how she reffers to companions) and armor. Well this would be interesting, she as of right now didnt have any servants nor armory so it was the naked her againts the armored wolf. Well she didnt mind fighting with some disavantage, this was part of life. Well, she would use her mind and claws to help in a way. He matched her height so she needed a different tactic, and if he was the boy's father she guessed he would be even more experienced so this would be different. She didnt attack right away, wanting to think for a plan first, she wasnt one to jump right into a match without a tactic. His companions were also a fact to take into consideration. This would be a three versus one, but she was glad he was giving her a nice fight. And like that she rushed but hopping to move to his rear, before aiming to wrap both paws with extended tiger claws on both sides of his hips, like a lion would do with a zebra. Hattori watched her in silence, the silver of his gaze cold yet curious, wondering how she felt about this. It was hard to say whether she was trustworthy, as he had no idea how things had transpired back in Iga, but for the time being he would remain watchful and vigilant. As if he never was. Perhaps this spar would serve as a silent and unsaid warning, that if she tried anything untoward he'd be more than willing to put an end to it. Though from what he recalled there was nothing overly suspicious about her, there were worse wolves to bring into Ashen's fold, of that Hattori was certain.


Hattori turned on the spot, quick to match her movements as she attempted to circle behind him. He understood the thought behind the tactic, but for every few steps it took for her to get into position Hattori could do it in one. Slapping her attempt at grappling him down aside with a swipe of his own taloned paws, Hattori lunged for her throat, intending to grab a hold of the fur hanging loose. He would not harm her, not truly, but she'd left herself open. He'd be a fool not to take the opportunity.

Her own gaze wouldnt leave Hattori's form, keen eyes lurking for anything, for not allowing him to take her on surprise. She as any warrior had still room to improve, and here and now she wanted to take an evaluation of where she was at. Further would be then her path. Herself didnt have a clear image of Hattori's family back in the day, but they were formidable samurai, so she would treat this fight with all the caution and mindfulness as possible. As she aimed for her claws to find purchase, the other gigantic wolf went to try clawing her which she quickly backed down trying to dodge those claws, barely doing so as her fur from the neck flew off. Then the Shogun went to bite on her neck to which she quickly aimed to repeat what she did with her previous opponent, swiping her left paw with big talons extended into the center of his face. Carefully not to damage his eyes. She just wanted to make him think it better to come so close to her. Hattori would have been a liar if he claimed to have not seen her response coming. She was talented enough for sure, good enough to beat his son, but Hattori had seen it all before. Making her a little predictable. Upon seeing her reach out to make a slash for his muzzle, Hattori dipped his head, seamlessly dodging her attack as he allowed his horns to thrust forward. Just as before he aimed right for the spot he'd intended to bite at with his teeth. He saw no reason to back away and to give her more room to work with would be to his detriment. They needed to keep this short and sweet, before anyone really got hurt.  

Either way, his opponent showed promise and would do well to settle into Ashen's ranks.

Yaeume pulled away from the Shogun after it seemed she had won the match, a soft smile rested on her lips, not because of wining but for having such a fun spar after so long. Panting a bit from the exercise, she sat down looking at the other Igan wolf, wondering what would he think now of her that she had won their small spar. Both won here, she won the fight and a place in his pack, and he won a new member should he be pleased enough to give her the blessing to join Ashen. After this she needed to buy a servant and a katana, as all she had was left behind. Behind to start new here."Your technique is exquisite Hoattori-Sama. I hope to learn more from you. Hattori was pleased with her display, but instead of ending it there he felt the urge to push harder, further, to see who would truly give in first. He offered her a nod in acknowledgement and gave her a moment to gain her breath. Their first match only proved there was always room for growth and improvement, even now Hattori was not overly confident or cocky in his abilities. He wished to better himself and would push himself as far as he could, with each fight and spar honing his skills till they were beyond razor sharp.

"Another round?" He offered, setting his shoulders once more.

Rushing in once more, Hattori lunged up, hoping to grab a mouthful of her ear. He knew it was a key point in controlling his opponent's head and even if his teeth ripped the skin no lasting or enduring injury would be sustained.

"I don't mind." She answered still in the mood and with the energy for one more round. She would never reject a chance to get better and to go beyond her own limits. She was ready and Hattori was quick to approach again, with the desire to catch her ear in his massive jaws. She pinned her ears, and fast she aimed to lower herself for maybe missing his bite, or at least make it catch somewhere else different from her ear. While she knelt she would then jump and aim to go toward Hattori with her shoulder and use her momentum to hit his chest with her shoulder, hopping to either knoc his air out or make him lose balance and hopefully fall on his back. Satisfied, Hattori considered this time well spent and spars well fought. Yaeume would make a welcome addition to Ashen's rosters, a more capable fighter than most it seemed. They were sorely lacking fighters, warriors of skill and esteem and Hattori hoped this was the first step in a better direction. His children were strong and capable, but for the most part Ashen had lost a large chunk of its warriors. Too much too soon, it was hard to recover but they would make it. Hattori would do everything in his power to make it so.

"Then let us return to Ashen." As always, there was work to be done. The daily grind never ended.
