Gossamer was delighted to have out raced her smaller sister Aris. It was a much needed boon to her confidence after she lost her fight with Askell and was out of the tournament. It was frustrating for the young warrior to be. How had she learned so much and yet lost fight after fight? She made note to continue training. Maybe she could snag a few moments of her father's free time and get a few private lessons. Gossamer shifted her thoughts from training to the race at hand. She was paired up against an Abaven wolf and she nodded to her opponent before taking her place at the starting line. At least she had made it into the second round of races.

"Speech!"

Suspense was just happy to make it to the next round! The tiny girl was practically buzzing with her excitement. She returned the other girl's nod and then bounced her way over to the starting line. "I'm Suspense!" She introduced herself as she slid up beside the bigger girl, rocking on her toes. She crouched low, chest just barely above the ground and her rump wiggling with the force of her wagging tail as she prepared to start running. Flying over the ground when the starting signal was given, a giggle rising from her lungs as she ran, still as happy as ever to just get to play.

Gossamer smiled at the little girl and nodded in greeting. "Hi, I'm Gossamer." It was amazing how small some wolves were. She'd have thought Suspense to barely be six months old but she could tell that the girl was actually likely a yearling like her despite being so short in stature. Soon it was time for the race to begin. The signal was given and Gossamer leapt forward, gasping in amazement at how fast the smaller girl was. She might have had shorter legs but her small and aerodynamic build launched her ahead. Crap! Gossamer dug in, using her long limbs and muscles to try and catch up with her smaller opponent.
