The Warlord spread his paws, looking out across the heart of the pack with some fondness. There was a fire roaring in the pit, chasing away the shadows that seemed to linger throughout the day, and took the bite of the chill from the air.
The little rugrats were already less little, and today would be a valuable lesson for them both. He wanted only for them to be as prepared as they could be before venturing out into the world. He would always rather keep them close, but the importance of giving them their freedom had won that mental war.
He tossed back his head, and howled for the two to appear, knowing Ruga was in the cellar sorting out some mediums for the two of them. Ruga was a blessing to the Armada. Their very own blacksmith, and he already had many plans for the wolf.

Arcturus was more glued to his sister and mother than ever. Mostly thanks to Tira's encouragement he had slowly started to pull himself out of bed more and more, slowly getting back into his old routines. He still didn't really have the same vigor that he used. Everywhere he went around the pack he was reminded of things that he had done with his dad and it just ended up making him upset every time another memory popped up. The world being all screwy didn't really help either since he had always gotten up and gone to bed with the sun and now it just felt like the sun had abandoned them. Sure, he liked chasing the fireflies with Tira, but that didn't really make up for the fact that his days felt all turned upside down and he missed the feeling of the sun on his fur.
The saber toothed pup lifted his head from his paws when he heard their grandfather's howl calling for him, wondering curiously what he wanted them for. He had his father's armor draped over him, the shaggy bear pelt hanging around him and much too big for his current frame. He was growing quickly, but he hadn't quite reached the stature of his father just yet. Despite that fact, he still wore the armor since it was a little piece of him that he could carry with him all the time. "Lets go see what grandpa wants," he told Tira with a little smile, giving her shoulder a bump with his head before walking toward the central meeting area of the pack, finding him near the big fire pretty easily. Bream found a roost in a near by tree while Pan remained tucked into his slowly growing mane as usual, the pangolin's face sticking up over the top of his head. "Hey, grandpa," he said in greeting, tipping his head up to look at him.

Likewise, Satira spent most of her time hanging around with her big brother when she wasn't spending time with her father. Her lessons with Mojito were paying off, and the little girl was already beginning to recognize some of the common herbs found around Armada lands and knew how to apply them. But her biggest focus was her brother. Arcturus had been sent into such a tailspin since Naiche's death, and Tira wanted to be there for Arc whenever he needed her. She couldn't imagine losing her family the way he had. That, coupled with the darkness of the world, made things feel really... well, sucky.
Satira had been busy occupying herself with mental trivia with some herbs she'd found growing just outside the den, making sure she could name them and state their effects and uses when Sirius' call for them rang out. Tiny floppy ears sprung up alert, and she very quickly lost her interest in her flash card game. Any time she got to spend with Grandpa Seer was a good day in her books! Following Arc's lead with a playful giggle, the pair of siblings made the short walk to the Armada's meeting area, spotting a large fire roaring in a pit to keep the darkness away. Their grandfather's hulking form stood silhouetted by the flames, and despite how intimidating it made him look, Tira went bounding up to him all the same, practically throwing herself into his larger feet.
"Hiiiii Grandpa!" she sang while she went to nuzzle his ankle, turning sparkling blue eyes up to him with the biggest, sweetest smile on her little face. "You called for us? Are we gonna be doing something fun?"
