island round trip: stop 5

Skirting around Abaven territory, Hattori made his way to Ibis Island. He'd been told the pack had once claimed it as their own, but had long since moved on. Now that he stood upon its shores it made sense, it was far removed from their other two territories and so would have made patrolling far more difficult than it needed to be. Then again Ashen's lands could be tedious to maintain at times, depending on the weather and time of year crossing from one island to the next took far more effort than the Shogun would have liked.

With seawater dripping from his under belly he scaled a cluster of rocks and surveyed the land. Even during winter he could see how the island had earned its name, the canopies were thick with birds and their calls. Not unlike Dove Island, but with more variety in species.
