From South to East was where her paws took her. The lady liked to travel, sure. Though she was curious about the packs that surrounded these lands. It seemed that no matter where she went, however, that fireflies and all the other strange glowy things seemed to follow. Mushrooms and crystals grew in abundance all over the place, from the dirt to the rocks and trees and even on bones. It was definitely an interesting sight to see if albeit creepy and weird. Were these lands always like this?

The sound of water in the darkness of the seemingly neverending night drew her attention. Brushing asides the fireflies that buzzed around her head, she followed the source of the sound until she came upon a big cluster of mushrooms. Some were as large as her paw, which was saying something because she had pretty big feet. While others seemed like minuscule versions of their giant counterparts. She peered at them, though wasn't quite willing to touch them just yet.

Suspense had some reservations about going too far from the packlands with all the... Oddness going on it wasn't exactly comforting to go too far from her family anymore. She was worried about her wayward siblings still though so she'd sometimes go out at least a little. Suspense was still also a friendly little thing and so when she caught the scent of a total stranger she picked up her pace.

Suspense pushed in a little too close to peer at the mushroom the other woman was looking at. "What's that?" She asked leaning extremely close, her nose nearly touching the cap of the mushroom.

She was pretty absorbed in looking at the mushroom cluster she had found that she hadn't heard the approach of the girl that had seemingly appeared out of nowhere. Sakura pulled back in surprise, though realized this girl didn't seem to be a threat to her at all. She was a yearling...she thought...she wasn't sure, honestly but...she didn't smell like a pup...she was thrown off by the girl's size, honestly. "I, er...they're mushrooms, I think. But not like any mushrooms I've seen before," She glanced from the girl to the mushroom cluster, noticing how close the girl was to practically kissing it. A small grin started to part her lips, "Maybe they're magic mushrooms...give on a kiss, it might turn into a prince or something." While she wasn't trying to be mean or anything, she wouldn't miss the opportunity for a joke or a harmless prank.

Suspense was maybe a little too friendly all things considered, but she hadn't had much push back yet and so felt not qualms pushing herself all up in other wolves' personal space. Mushrooms, oh! She'd seen mushrooms before, but yeah not like this! The girl titled her head to the side as she pondered, what made these ones glow but not the ones she'd seen before this? What a quandary! Suspense turned big blue-violet eyes up towards the pretty multi-colored woman. (And Suspense was just now realizing how pretty she was.)

Magic... She blinked her voice lifting in a sort of hopeful optimism. "Do you really think so?" She looked up at the other woman, so earnestly. She had some doubts, after all her mother had told her never to eat mushrooms she was unfamiliar with and had taught her a fair bit about poisons, many of which were made with mushrooms... But these didn't look like those ones...

"Do you really think so?" She couldn't help but crack a smile at the curious girl. She was tiny. She was inquisitive. She seemed downright adorable. She couldn't quite bring herself to prank the girl into potentially harming herself with one of these, but in all honesty, they sure did look like magic. She had never seen anything like it before, and despite the world feeling a little ominous with the lack of daylight hours, weird stars, and other stranger things going on, she was still very curious about these "magic" mushrooms.

She got down onto her belly to better match the girls height and so she wasn't towering and looming over her. She didn't mind the company at all, and besides...if this girl was a threat, all she had to do with pick her up by the scruff and throw her. Or y'know, have her as a snack. "They seem magical to me, don't you agree?" She gently patted one of the bigger mushrooms, watching as it pulsed under her touch. "I've never seen mushrooms like these before,"

Suspense watched as the taller woman lowered herself so they were more level with each other, she nodded enthusiastically as the woman asked her if they seemed magical. They really did. She wasn't sure what magic really was but if this wasn't it then she really didn't know what was. She turned her attention back towards the mushroom for a moment and pondered again. "Neither have I..." She said trailing off, then with one swift movement she shoved her muzzle forward, nose pushing up against the cap of the fungi. Not a kiss per say but touching it with her nose couldn't hurt... Right?

Sakura

Your paw tingles slightly, your skin twitching against the skin of the cap, it builds slowly, turning unpleasant and even a little painful. It moves up your limb and spreads all over your body. You feel itchy all over, deep as if it's within your bones.

Maybe you shouldn't have done that...

Suspense

The light touch causes the mushroom cap to suddenly collapse, as if you were much more forceful with it. It's now crushed. Take that, nature.

Shortly after touching the mushroom cap, her paw started to feel tingly. "Huh...?" She pulled her away, turning it up so she could see if maybe she had stuck herself with something as she swore she felt the skin of her paw pad twitch. Hm...nothing really seemed out of the ordinary...but after placing it back down, she was about to say something to the other girl but the tingle in her paw started bothering her. It was slow at first, but eventually, she was unable to ignore it. The feeling was rather unpleasant, and it actually started getting a little painful. She brought her paw up against it and started rubbing it with her other paw, but it only seemed to get worse.

Hackles began to prickle as she startled back, growling and whining more to herself than the tiny girl as she started to feel incredibly itchy. She dropped back to her haunches, scratching with a hind paw before she swiftly started chewing at her fur. It was unbearable! Was that what happened after touching the mushrooms!? "Don't touch anymore!" She shouted at the girl before she started writhing around trying to relieve her itchiness.

Huh? It doesn't seem like anything happened... Well, maybe that's for the best...
