chip some of these crystals off

it might have looked like love, but it tasted a lot like blood
She'd been stripped of her horns and... strange, she couldn't remember her last name. Calamity was incensed following her encounter with that strange, cloaked figure. Of course he had dissipated as soon as he'd arrived, leaving her with absolutely nothing to take her rage out on. Panting hard, she made her way to the only place you were encouraged to pick a fight. Twin open sores oozed from where her antlers had once proudly grown. Upon her arrival, she shrieked madly at the sky. Crystals were already beginning to form in the open wounds upon her head, sparkling faintly amid the blood and bone.

They kept whispering to him. Would not stop whispering to him. Inside his head. Forever. And ever. And ever. Not stopping. Insistent now. He had to. He had to follow and do what they say. His whole body felt woozy and lost. There was only one place to go. The battlefield. It was the only place where his intent would go without consequence. His eyes were alight with a frenzy that he had never felt before. His whole body was, shall we say, a buzz of adrenaline and madness. He did not see where he went. He followed. Blind to the world around him that no longer saw the light of day. Pulsating glows of crystals and mushrooms were his only guiding path. To the Battlefield he went. In search, a determined search, for what he must do. To relinquish his power over to the insane babbling going on inside his head. He had to do it. As he arrived, a wild cry lit the sky. His ears, oozing a thick liquid now, turned toward it. His attention brought him closer to the female where her head oozed goo instead of carrying a set of antlers. Not that he would know that. All he saw was a form that breathed and held a beating heart. Perfect. They were alone with no one to see what he was planning to do. They were roughly the same size, but that wouldn't matter. His rippling muscles prepared themselves as he turned his body to face her and answer her call. Oozed dripped from his lips as he pulled his lips up in a sneer. There were going to be no words in exchange tonight. Propelling forward without a mind of his own, Gilgamesh leaped at the girl without a second thought. Releasing his paws from the ground, he aimed to land on her back. His ooze dripping eyes were half-closed, only somewhat aware of what and where he was aiming for. Snapping teeth, covered in that same goo, snapped wildly toward the scruff of her neck. There would be no backing out now. Gilgamesh vs Calamity for Spar Round 1/? She saw him coming at her, wildness lit in his eyes. He was powerful. He would punish her... and she would welcome it. A sneer split his face, turning what would otherwise be a handsome enough arrangement of features into a ghastly mask. Her hackles raised in response to his approach - and then he was sprinting towards her, oozing from every orifice a bright liquid. It was horrific and terrifying and thrilling. Here they could lose themselves completely in the fight, leaving all pretense at the edge of this territory. The Battlefield was no one's land. Everyone was a phantom stranger here. His leap overtook her easily - they were so similar in build that his heavier weight slammed into her side and took her right to the ground. Calamity snarled and writhed in his grip, slamming her skull senselessly up into his chin. If she'd had her antlers, she'd easily skewer an eyeball. With them gone, the best she could hope for was knocking his jaw so fiercely that maybe he'd bite his own tongue. Pathetic. You're weak, weak, weak.

If he had not been tormented by the ooze that covered his body, draining from wherever it could, he might have been surprised to see that he had knocked her over. His whole weight leaning into the girl as she tumbled to the ground, he hovers over her, pinning her into place. Snarls as fierce as a bear's ripples through his vocal cords as his crazed eyes watch her writhe and squirm under his hold. There is joy in his expression as he knows it would be so easy to end it all here. But what fun would that be? Suddenly, a loud cracking noise shatters his conscience as his head flies back. The girl swung her head just as wildly as he had been snapping his jaws toward her face, managing to land squarely on his mouth. Teeth clench around his tongue as blood and ooze splatter around them. Covering them in a horrific sort of way, a terrifying cry leaves his lips. How dare she hurt him like that? The voices scream inside his head now. Demanding him to do what he came here to do. Something inside of him holds him back as he presses his weight harder onto her. There would be no escaping his clutches. As he blinks away the pain, coming back to what he thought was the real world, he raises his own head back, neck muscles coiling as he lurches forward in an attempt to headbutt her in response. Maybe if he could knock her out, it would make his job all that much easier. They were a mindless, frenzied writhing mass. Like a rat king or a snake that eats its own tail, they were inextricably tied while ensuring personal mutual destruction. They were so bloodied and covered in bright ooze that it was almost impossible to tell where one of them began and the other ended. Gilgamesh brought his head down hard on her skull and she gave an unearthly shriek as the gems growing from where her horns had once been were chipped. It felt like her own bones were exposed to fresh air and being ground down beneath his skull. Calamity hissed and tried to roll out from beneath him, but she was trapped under his weight. "Foolish mortal!" she screamed, spittle and ooze flying. It was pure madness, all of it. Her eyes were dim and unfocused as she shook her head back and forth, trying to loosen herself from his grasp. Whenever she could, she tried to bite at his legs and paws that had her pinned.

Their guttural screams erupt into the air as his head connects with the top of her crown. His own blood spills again as he feels the crystals jam into his forehead. Pain is no longer a feeling as adrenaline surges through him. His sight is a blur as they continue to writhe together in one mass. With his weight on top of hers, he believed he might just be able to overpower her. This was it. He finally could relinquish the voices from his head if only he would listen to what they wanted. It was then that her voice spat out at him and he blinked. Mortal? Who was she calling a mortal? Ferocity built up in him as he gargled through another bought of ooze-filled cries. Feeling her teeth wrap around his ankle as she bit down, he lifted his leg and shook it as she shook her head. Surely there would be damage there. Amidst the coiling of their bodies as she wiggled beneath him, her teeth still sinking into his forearms trying to get him to let go, Gil resisted. Now was his moment. Forcefully ripping his ankle from her clutches, he raised the bloody paw over her before placing it squarely on her chest. Lowering his muzzle so that their noses nearly touched, the ooze dripped slowly from his lips. "Who's the mortal now?" He rasped, yellow eyes wide with madness before he pulls away. Gil knew he could end it here and now. All it would take would be one slash to her pretty throat. That delicate, soft, tender skin connecting her neck to her jaw. For once, he would know what murder feels like. Then it clicked and something snapped inside of him. Releasing his now injured paw from her squirming body, he steps away with one final kick of his back leg aimed toward her body. The real Gilgamesh was not a ruthless murderer. He had values to keep and he would not senselessly kill just because some voices demanded him too. He was more of a man than that and deep down, he wanted it to stay that way. Keeping his head lowered and hackles raised, he eyes her as the fog once again consumes his body. Bloodlust overcame her. Fluorescent drool built up in the corners of her mouth and dripped down even while it streamed profusely from the crystals lodged in her forehead where her antlers once stood tall and proud. She was a mess. Calamity's grip failed her as Gilgamesh wrenched his paw from her mouth. She snapped mindlessly at the air, trying to capture any scrap of his flesh between her teeth and catching nothing. When he pushed off of her, Calamity groaned - a deep, guttural noise - and stumbled to her paws. With the very last of her energy, Calamity tried to rush him stupidly and bring him down one final time.
