Dagrún very much regretted touching that crystal. As far as she was concerned that had to be the reason she was now afflicted with this mysterious illness that caused crystalline mineral deposits at the corner of her eyes and nose. They itched and irritated her but nothing she did seemed to soothe them. She'd try going to Álarr but apparently he was sick with a fungal infection that he feared was contagious and so he wouldn't see her. She returned to her den and curled up on the elk pelt that lined it. Was anyone else suffering from the same thing she was? No doubt there were strange diseases starting to creep through the land and she hoped that this wouldn't be permanent.

Tyrfing was miserable. Breaking that crystal had been the worst thing to ever happen to him. Loki must have been pissed, and it seemed just like the trickster God's way of doing things to infect his body with crystals after he'd so rudely disrespected one in the previous season. "Daaaag." He drawled as he stumbled over toward her den. Each step felt like agony, like the crystals had somehow even sprouted from his pawpads. One of his eyes was almost permanently held shut as a crystal slowly grew out from his tear duct. His sister was with Fin when he'd shattered the crystal so he assumed that if she wasn't also sick, that maybe she'd have some clue as to how to fix it. He stepped into her den uninvited, noticing with the one eye that wasn't squeezed shut in pain that she too was sick. "Great, less to talk about." Fin decided out loud. "Move over." Dagrún lifted her head off her paws as she heard Tyrfing call out. He did not sound very good and it struck her that he might have the illness to. Good! She didn't want to be the only one with it. Before she could invite him in he helped himself and crawled into her den before flopping down near her. She shifted and grumbled but truthfully she was glad he was there. "Yea, I got it to. Wonder if anyone else did or if we're the lucky ones. Any idea what to do about it? I tried pulling one out but it really hurt and I couldn't get it." She couldn't pull them out and she hadn't had much luck by trying to wash them off of her with water either. "Think Alfrún would know what to do?" If this were some kind of curse then maybe she could break it for them.

Tyrfing gave a small shrug, though cut the movement off as it felt as if crystals had embedded themselves between his shoulder blades. "I don't know, we could go see if anyone else is sick but that puts them all at risk, too." While Fin was always down to torture and prank his family, he didn't want to actually hurt them.. and this hurt. "I have the potion still that the weird cloak guy gave me." Fin had been carrying the thing in a small pouch ever since he'd received it, waiting for the moment to use it. "Do you think it might help?" He leaned over and pulled it out gingerly from his pouch, placing it before them on the ground. He eyed his sick sister, then back to the glittering concoction he'd purchased. Dagrún frowned but nodded. Her brother had a point and in fact that was why Álarr hadn't come to see them, afraid he'd spread his fungal infection to them. Dag had to admit that being infected with this weird crystal disease was enough, she didn't need mushrooms growing on top of her head in addition. Tyrfing mentioned his motion and she examined it for a moment. "I don't know… if we split it and you need the whole potion for one then it all goes to waste. You take it. I have that bag of stuff from that guy. Maybe something in there will help. Seems like it's a number of things." She took her bag out and chewed the twine off the top, she then turned it upside down to dump out the contents."

Dag gave a reasonable rebuttal on why she shouldn't share his potion and Fin gave a saddened nod. She was right - if it was a cure, it was best that they didn't dilute it or take less then the recommended amount. "You're right." He uncapped the vial with his teeth and spat the cork away, watching with one squinted eye as Dag opened her own purchase. "Alright, wish me luck." With that, the boy upended the bottle and swallowed the glittering concoction. While he waited to see what it might do, he took another look over toward Dag and her bag. "What's in there?" Glittering Concoction

So glittery...

You drink the concoction and fall into a deep, deep sleep. As you begin to dream, you find three paths open up ahead of you. The first is lined with mushrooms; the second, sharp, glimmering crystals; and finally the third is shrouded with thick mist and dancing fireflies. You can choose to walk down one of the paths, or go back the way you came... which do you choose? Choose wisely!

Did he fall asleep? Fin had drank the potion, and suddenly his sister was no longer beside him in the den. In fact, they weren't in a den at all anymore. Before him were multiple paths - a mushroom one, a crystal one, and a misty one. He'd swallowed the potion with the intention of curing himself - were these paths a choice of what it was he wanted to cure? Well, Tyrfing was infected with crystals, so it would make sense he would walk the crystal path. Dagrún was in the middle of examining the crystals that had fallen out of her bag when she felt her face go numb and a haze settled over her mind. She swayed for a moment, blinking rapidly as she tried to stop herself from passing out. When the moment subsided and her vision refocused she saw the strange spirit and his shop again. She looked from the crystals to the items on the table. Maybe there was something on there that could help. She examined the potion as well as the rabbit's foot. She knew better than to mess around with mushrooms after the way this winter had gone. However, as she looked at the crude label on the potion it didn't seem like it would cure her of her illness. Looked like it just made you bigger. She settled on the rabbit's foot. If anything it might make for a pretty necklace. "Hello again, I'll trade you three of my crystals for that Lucky Rabbit's Foot." The way this season was turning out and bleeding into the next she could use all the luck she could get.

Firefly Shoppe- Dagrún

"A lucky rabbit's foot... good choice, young wolf. Use this when you're looking for a bit of extra luck. I think most could use it these days," he suggests, tossing it her way with the flick of what looks vaguely like a hand. After the item is tossed at her paws, the mist lightens and leaves the wolf back in reality with her sibling.

The firefly man's table phased in suddenly, starting Tyrfing as he wasn't quite done his potion-induced dream. Did his glittering concoction somehow summon the figure? Weird. He hoped the firefly man had appeared to his sister too, so that they both might be able to have a chance at purchasing some form of cure. None of the items seemed very cure-y, and the man seemed not in a mood for negotiating. Tyrfing swallowed, approaching the table and bowing his head. "Hello again, sir." He greeted, and then gestured towards the coupon on the table. Nothing else seemed very cure-like, perhaps the coupon could help him in the future to purchase a solution for his sickness. You continue to go, your penguin stopping every once in a while to break small stones with his iolite beak. When you awake, he greets you, gemmy beak glistening.
