God damn it her leg hurt. It wasn?t something serious, but pulled muscles were the scum of the earth, and today Argent found herself limping and wincing as she hauled herself out of her shared den. She had hurt herself hunting the previous day, and even though the injury would heal, it left her somewhat stranded for the day. Sure, she could move around, but otherwise she felt somewhat useless. With a sigh she would find a small, peaceful clearing and settle down, deciding that it maybe now she could groom herself, and then find other small tasks to complete. Above her head thunder roared, making her sigh. It would seem that she couldn?t even be outside today, for fear that the wet and the cold and her leg would make her sick. Nonetheless, she was determined to enjoy the peace and quiet of her clearing for a short time, beginning to groom the fur upon a hind leg to keep herself occupied.

Thunder rolled like an ancient battle cry, signaling the brief appearance of a lightning strike. She paid it little mind, though her fur stood on end as the electricity built in the air. She moved rhythmically through the land that was her brother's, held together by a brood stock of females and a few choice males to serve them. Sendoa had ensured she would not be some brood sow of her brother's and any other male's choosing. While she didn't abhor sexual relations, she preferred to choose her own partners. Rarely was Sendoa powerless when it came to making decisions. The battle queen continued on, coming across a clearing that was occupied by a woman. She was grooming herself, which seemed hardly necessary with the imminent rain shower, but she supposed that there wasn't really anything better to be doing. What did the females do in Glaciem besides wait for a man to require their services? ?Lovely weather,? she remarked for no other reason than to announce her presence. Tail flickered between her hocks as curiosity brimmed on her face. ?speak,?

She would find herself with company now, a face that was not familiar to her. The dark she-wolf approached with small talk upon her lips, but Argent did not mind. ?Yes, indeed,? she would say, hoping to appear relaxed and not cursing the pulled muscle of her leg. ?What is your name? I am Argent Zaldun, Overseer,?she said, curious about this woman. There was something about her that seemed remotely similar to Isardis, but she couldn?t put her finger on it. She seemed a tad too old to be one of his daughters, but she could not pin the likeness on anything but some sort of relation.

The light she-wolf with darker accents seemed unconcerned with Sendoa's unwelcomed presence, and so the woman rocked onto her haunches and curled her tail around her hips. The woman introduced herself promptly as Argent, an overseer. Ah, so this was the dame her brother had mentioned who held power in the kingdom. Fabulous. ?Sendoa Armada, Overseer.? The steely blue woman's ear flickered casually as some buzzing flying insect perched too near it. She wasn't the best at conversation, but if she were going to work alongside this woman she had a feeling she would have to put forth some effort. ?So you're the woman my brother has spoken so highly of,?
