A very panicked Omen was running as fast as her little legs could carry her through the Forest. Somewhere behind her and coming up fast was an infected raccoon. It's skin bubbled and oozed, and what little hair it had left hung off its body in raggedly patches. It's gummy eyes were crazed and Omen had known the moment she'd laid eyes on it that it meant her harm. She'd backed away slowly and watched with a sinking heart as it followed. When she ran it lunged. She'd gotten lost at some point and now was clawing her way through the Forest's thorny tangles with the crazed snarls of an oozy raccoon echoing all around her.

Ara was stretching her legs after a long day of training. She had big plans for herself in the band, and eventual pack that her cousin would build. She also wished to take part in training Maneas little kiddos, and knew she needed to keep herself in good shape for all that lay ahead.

She skirted between Fenrir;s maw and the vulcano, keeping out of pack lands as she entered the creepy forest a decent trip from home. She was just yawning and considering heading back when the snarls of a crazed creature caught her attention. Curiosity stronger then fear, she wrinkled her nose and pressed further in. She saw the young wolf as she raced through the trees, pursued by.... Something. “Over here!” she called

'Any port in a storm' was Omen's motto currently, so when a voice called out to her that seemed to promise safety she made a beeline for it. For all she knew she was running head first into a gunny sack meant for a slave market and you know what? That seemed like a problem for future her because current her was about to lose her tail to a nasty coyote.

She leaped towards the stranger's voice, catching glimpses of red here and there through the tangle of branches. "Where?" she cried fearfully while looking over her shoulder. "It's going to get its yuck on me!" Her head whipped back around again and she swept her eyes frantically across the crowded path ahead for a way forward. There were so many thorns!

Ara looked about herself, and found a heart broken stick. She grabbed it in her maw, seeing for herself in that moment that she didn’t want the pursuing creature to touch her. Drat, maybe she should have left well enough alone. Too late for that now. Stick in maw, she gave another muffled cry. “To your left shoulder, through that thicket!” she cried hoping the other could hear her over the stick in her mouth.

Batter up! She readied her stick, ready to fling the oozy raccoon into oblivion. She just needed to wait until the pup was past her… Ara tensed, suspense and anticipation running through her veins.

Normally not one to follow commands unless she felt like, Omen made a hard left without question just like the stranger said. Now more than ever thankful for her large size she shoved her way through the thick tangle of branches. On the other side it was blessedly clear. Now why couldn't she have had a path like this ages ago when her paws were getting stuffed full of thorns? Worst forest ever!

She ran full tilt at the bright red woman, her eyes mooning in alarm as she heard her pursuer break free of the thorns. It was on this side. As in, right behind her, probably, its jaws flung wide and its eyes locked on her tail...

Omen squealed and dove head first under the stranger. She shimmied until there was nothing but red fur every which way she looked. Her imagination was conjuring up all sorts of bad things. Any second now the beast would be on her tail like a beaver on a log.

The next thing she knew, the pale pup was free of the thicket and dashing the last few steps towards her. Waiting at a ready stance, Ara expected the pup to dash to the side, and was caught by surprise when the little one dove right beneath her belly. With a soft yelp of surprise, Ara had no time to comment. The raccoon was upon them, and Ara swung with all her might. Hitting the raccoon straight on the face in a once in a lifetime shot. It caught air with a terrible shriek as it was flung away from the trio.

With a cry of delight Ara watched it streak through the air, prepared to go for round two if it came at pup and yearling again.

It was the strange firefly man that had appeared to her brother not too long ago. She frowned at the strange creature, the possum that had been chasing them seemed to have vanished. A wolf appeared through the trees, staring silently at Ara, before turning and moving away. The woman shivered softly at the strangeness of it, and turned her attention back to the cloaked figure.

“That one.” She said, pointing at the tantalizing treat. It was the only thing there that looked appetizing. The pungent potion looked strange, and who knew what a glowing decapitated foot did? No, no, no. The treat it was.

Omen found herself suddenly shimmying under something that was not red and furry. Were those bugs holding up some kind of fabric? Wow she did not want to be in here with them! It was hard to breathe and the air was kind of gross tasting...like a fart but with bugs? It wasn't nice. She put on the breaks, threw it in reverse, and backed out from under the cloak as quick as she could. Once out she looked up at the looming figure and gave a sheepish, "Sorry, I was being chased..."

Her embarrassment vanished as soon as she laid eyes on the wares. They were shiny! She liked shiny. "Um, I'll take the growth potion and the um," she squinted, and then jutted out the paw holding her four mushrooms. "curs-ed litter pass."

The large pup bolted under the cloak, which sent the figure scurrying backwards, taking his stand with him. She then motioned to two of the items and the figure handed them over, taking the currency and disappearing as quickly as he came.
