Well Beyond Time
Medusa. The woman had flaunted the rules of Habari before the sun had disappeared and they'd all become too wrapped up in that to really deal with the woman properly, but she would not go unpunished and it was time to rectify. The woman moved into the nook as the moon rose above the mountain. She settled herself in a relative clearing and tipped her head back, calling for Medusa, for Kali and for anyone else who wished to help dispense pack justice. Medusa would learn to follow rules or she'd find herself here more than once. Recluse held herself rigid, her face was stern and she embodied her power as an alpha more so than she had in the last month, her strength now fully returned.

Oooooh, someone’s in trouble was Kali’s first thought when her mother’s call rang into the air. She had been doing her rounds along the border like a dutiful Cherubim, but this was certainly more interesting than any of that business. The gold-gilded girl turned and took off at a trot toward the area Recluse had called from, a grin settling onto her features. Of course, she’d noticed Medusa’s rather unslavelike behavior, but she’d chosen to let her mother deal the first blow and decide the exact punishment. It seemed she’d finally gotten around to it, and what a sight it would be.
The yearling arrived quickly and quietly, sliding next to the Seraphim and offering a kiss to her cheek before sitting down. “Care to tell me what you had in mind, or are you going to leave it all to me? I can get creative,” she asked, bi-colored gaze twinkling with amusement.
Áskell flinched at the pain in his abdomen. He stood still for a moment, waiting for it to pass then breathing a sigh of relief as it did so. For the most part he was healed from the Ooze but every so often he'd have a flair up of pain or a stuffed up nose. He knew it would take time, but he was impatient. He eyed the moon suspiciously, wondering if it would again claim the sky as it had the past winter. He was starting to think this "normal winter" adults spoke of was nothing but a myth.
Recluse howled and his ears perked up. Noting the sternness of the call he shifted his course and arrived to see her and Kali. He nodded his head in greeting to both women before settling down. "I'll do whatever you need me to."
Sorcerer felt morbidly curious to find out how punishments were given in the pack he was born, curious to see how badly a maim could go, but not being completely mean or savage he would offer healing to the victim but only if his cousin would allow him to, besides he needed practice and since he didn't have no one to help him learn more about healing he wanted to kind of be a self taught practician of the trade, mostly to be always ready to save his loved ones with his own paws. But for now he watched from the side, lying down on his own. |
It's not that he wasn't supposed to be there, but perhaps his curiosity had gotten the better of him. Watching his mother take off from the den earlier that evening, Ghoul's body itched to follow and find out what was going on. Pacing back and forth in the den with his ears twitching, his chin took a turn as he heard the faint call of his mama. His body froze as he waited a few moments. Glancing around the den to make sure none of his siblings were watching, the pale spotted boy slunk from the den's mouth and down the mountainside. At a somewhat awkward gait for his long legs and big paws, the newly shortened tail of the pup wagged in excitement. The call resounding into the evening sky had not been a normal howl. Making his way to the nook's clearing, he paused on the outskirts at first. Peering in at the small group of older wolves, he recognized his mother and older sister first. The other two were vaguely familiar, but their scents clearly indicated they were of the pack. With as much confidence as he could hold at such a young age, Ghoul wandered over toward Recluse and Kali. Briefly giving his older sister a nod of hello, he went to stand on the other side of Recluse with some distance. He could tell by her rigid stance that this, by chance, was not going to be a fun and friendly gathering. |
Upon seeing his mother in the moonlight, Mac greeted her and his older sister with a wide grin, offering the smile to Ghoul as well as he noticed him. His own eyes were brightly blowing with the same intensity as the moonlight, not so apparent in the day as they were at night. They made him appear quite ominous, or at least, that was the goal. He didn’t know the others there that well, and he was aware his older brother had gon eoff on another mission. As such, he’d report the details of this occurrence to him upon his return. Nevermind what anybody said - he was receiving a service in terms of one-on-one training, and was merely giving his brother what he asked for in return. A mutual understanding.
Approaching his rose-pelted briothee, he sat near him and allowed his curled grin to fade into a neutral expression a seamless as that, a masterful art of acting to masquerade his excitement for what was to come. All that popped up in his little twisted mind was, Ooooh, someone’s in trouble. Oh what fun this would be.
He didnt say anything this time, fluttering his sight from Recluse, kali and her younger litter. Not to mention one of their members. It felt like a pack event that was for sure. It reminded him of the ones his fathers and mothers would hold. Although often banishment was a punishment. Silently he was holding onto the hope blood would be involved. He did however nod to Recluse, she had his support but his ignorance made him keep quiet on the manner.
he has a female snowy owl by the name kespie, it is assumed shes around regardless of mention.

It was a lonely existence indeed.
Until today, she would learn. Maybe. She arrived and noticed there were a bunch of others there already, and she spotted the albino alpha at the forefront of the group. She stood there, not completely in the center of the group but sort of closer to the edge. Dual toned gaze looked them over, the tip of her tail slowly wagging against her ankles in nervous curiosity, though she said nothing.
They were drawing a crowd, good. She waited until the star of the show arrived and Recluse spoke up. "Habari, one of our numbers Medusa has been found in violation of our laws, she is barred from leaving pack lands without explicit permission and an escort. However she has crossed our borders without these concessions. This can not be allowed to go unpunished." She glanced to her daughter. "Do you have any thoughts on what might be fitting?"

A handful of wolves joined them soon after her mother’s call rang out and she could see them practically twitching for a show of blood. A smirk twitched on the edge of her lips. Yes, this was Habari, her pack. Surely they weren’t conventional, and many might consider them harsh, but they were hers, and she knew it would do well to remind them of that.
Her mother spoke, turning to her for her opinion and she locked her bi-colored gaze on Medusa, tail tip twitching behind her lithe frame. ”Well, seeing as she seems to want to wander to her heart’s content, I think we should make it a little harder to do so,” she replied. “It also needs to be something she’ll remember, though…hm…how about we take a couple toes and an eye!” the Cherubim suggested, looking to her mother with a smirk.
Recluse considered for a moment her daughter's suggestions, looking around at the gathered wolves. She glanced back at Medusa before turning towards Kali again and she spoke loud enough for the gathered wolves to hear but was not chastising. "Both good suggestions, but the poor thing does deserve a chance to prove she can grow beyond her laspses in judgement, she should be given the chance to work off her ill will don't want to do anything too permanent. A broken toe or two should suffice." She glanced at Medusa and her eyes hardened.

Her mother, always the benevolent being, talked her down from her previous suggestion. Truthfully, she figured that adding the eye for good measure would be a bit far, but she wanted to add it in anyways to prove that she was willing to go the extra mile for the good of the pack. The verdict was brought down to a few broken toes, perhaps less than what Kali would have done, but fitting nonetheless. The Seraphim called out for volunteers and Kali stood beside her, watching. She knew if none volunteered, she would be the one to do it, but if one of the others wanted to then she’d let them by all means. There was no reason for her to get her paws dirty if she could toss it off to someone else.
Well she would have to admit that it was a little disappointing to find that those who had gathered were here soley for the show but Recluse shrugged off the silence that rang in her ears and turned to her daughter. "Do you wish to do the honors?" Recluse would do it herself is she had to, maybe motivate her cousins to finally stumble out of their stupor of inaction but if her daughter wished she would easily let her do the deed. She watched Medusa out of the corner of her eye, it was almost baffling how unaffected she seemed to be considering the violence that was about to descend upon her.
