Kotori had come to compare his ability against other wolves and not to fight his sister.  Not that he’d spent much time sparring with her so it would still be someone different.  His little sister was literally almost half his size.  She had been fortunate enough to be born with some combat traits Kotori had not with her fangs, claws, and even spines but could she fight?  Admittedly having not sparred or hunted predators together did not mean she didn’t do so at other points.  Kotori had been improving by leaps and bounds, how sad it would be to lose to his own sister now.

“Well Aris,”  Kotori said as he lowered his head to be even with his shoulders, “It seems we finally are going to have a bit of a spar.  Let’s show how well the Fatalis line can fight.”  One way or another a Fatalis would be losing the fight early but then again it also meant one would remain also.  “Regardless of who wins we make this show count.”  It was important to show well.

Kotori would wait for his sister to also be ready then start the match, running at her, opening his mouth as if aiming to bite for the neck but instead just shoving his taller form into her shoulder.  Kotori’s goal was to get her on the ground fast, all the better if she landed on her side so he’d be able to go for the neck.  He should have tried to spar with her prior as Kotori also had no idea how fast his tiny sister was.

"Kotori Fatalis"

Somehow Aris always seemed to end up paired up with at least one of her siblings at these tournaments, which was kind of weird. Like, there weren't actually that many in her litter that went in for tournaments so it had to be at least unlikely that they ended up paired in the first round, and yet??? And this time it was Kotori, who was always so condescending about her size and for some reason, the fact that she didn't have a penis because apparently that mattered so much to people, so of course it was going to be a major headache for her if she lost.

She rolled her eyes at his dramatic speech. "Oh for fuck's sake Ko just put up or shut up." She gave herself a thorough shake to loosen up, then fell into the loose fighting stance almost lazily, spines along her back raised like the crest of some fuzzy dinosaur to ward off bites around her shoulders and back.

As soon as she had, Kotori ran at her. It was almost always what larger wolves tried to do, use their larger bodies and heavier weight to shove smaller wolves around, so Aris was ready and leaped forward and to the side to avoid the hit and instead come up parallel to him. Pivoting towards him she slashed at his ribs with both claws and teeth, but didn't attempt to get a grip on him. She needed to be able to stay mobile or he'd just run right over her.

Kotori’s first attacked miss but he wasn’t overly worried.  His little sister tried her own attack, claws, and teeth going for his side.  Kotori took the damage Aris gave, feeling the teeth and claws but, instead of attempting to dodge her attack the horned wolf would use the moment she had to be next to him to attempt a bite to the top portion of her neck.

Kotori knew about those spines and would prefer to avoid them yet gain control of the smaller wolf.  If he was able to get the bite in Kotori would try to force her to the ground.  It would be a quick fight with minimal damage to Aris.  Really, this fight would likely all come down to who was faster, both wolves were right next to each for a good finishing move.

"Kotori Fatalis"

Kotori may have recalled her spines, but he'd seemingly forgotten her claws - he might have gotten hold of her, but she wouldn't be the easy prey he thought she was. As his jaws closed over the lose skin and fur of her scruff, Aris pivoted her hindquarters away to to bring them face to face in what was certainly uncomfortable for her and undoubtedly uncomfortable for him considering the way it would twist his own head if he didn't let go, then jerked her head away and down to draw his head down with hers, simultaneously reaching behind her head in an attempt to rake her feline claws across his face.
