He didn’t anticipate the first try having any success, but he would search until he found what he was looking for. His cry called out, asking for any healers to offer their knowledge to the Warlord for a time. His cry eventually dyed out, and, falling silent, he fell into a waiting stance. Here was to hoping that anyone would hear his call.
The Apothaker had been out and about collecting some herbs from the nearby Weeping Woods when Sirius’ call rang out. She paused as she had been gently pulling a plant up by the roots, small clots of dirt falling to the ground as the herb dangled from her jaws. Her silver auds tilted in his direction, her tail twitching curiously as she carefully tucked the herb into a bundle of cobwebs and placed that in the medical bag by her side. She slid the bag over her shoulders so it rested on her back and turned to answer the call. The woman was curious as to why he was calling for a healer, as she knew the Armada had a few, and the call seemed to be asking for a long term stay. The pack was Ashen’s close ally and the Warlord was like an adoptive grandfather to her grandchildren, if there was something she could do to help, she would do her best.
”Hello, Sirius. It’s a pleasure to see you as always,” she greeted the large man, tipping her pale, antlered head down in a bow of greeting. She offered a gentle, curious smile and a tilt of her head, “I heard you call for a healer, could I perhaps be of service?”

“I would very much appreciate your knowledge. Our lead healer left just before the Long Night, and my child who wants to specialise in healing finds herself without a teacher. I was wondering if you might be willing to live in with her for a season, and teach her everything you know” he explained, glancing in the direction of the Ashen borders for a moment. “If Hattori and Venom can spare you, that is”
Sirius was kind and cordial as always, and Kiyo once again found herself happy that they had such a man as their ally and as an important figure in the lives of her grandchildren. Having the proper influence from a young age meant a great deal to growth, she knew that from experience.
The woman listened intently as the Warlord laid out his reasoning in calling her, and her brows rose above her soft silver eyes. A live-in healing teacher, hm? It certainly sounded interesting, and she knew she had the skill set for it. But, she was also curious as to why he was seeking someone out when he had a very capable healer in the form of Sedna within their ranks already. No matter though, that wasn’t any of her business. The Apothaker sat for a moment, her expression thoughtful before she answered. “I don’t see why I couldn’t. I’ve been teaching my granddaughters from the time they were pups, so if any of the Ashen members had small ailments or the like they’re more than capable of handling them. Honestly, despite the recent environmental events, I find myself without much use. I’ll need to talk to Hanzo first, however, and if anything major should happen I’ll need to respond. But, consider this my acceptance of your proposal.”
