Shrugging his armor on, Grimshaw beckoned the little wolverine that insisted on traveling with him any time he seemed to grab his armor. He smirked down at the little beast with a tilt of his chin to signal to the smaller animal that it was time to leave. It was a bit of a travel to the battlefield, but Grimshaw and his little friend were getting used to the journey now that they had made a few trips back and forth. If anything, the journey was good for their stamina. But the fight that would ensue when he arrived would be the real prize. He learned more from battle wolves here than he did back in the armada when everything was broken down and explained. Grimshaw learned better from actually fighting, having to think in the moment or suffer the consequences of his actions should he move or attack wrong.

When he finally centered himself in the middle of the ring, Grimshaw tilted his head back to call for an opponent. Although fighting a fellow pack mate that he had never sparred with before was nice, he did hope someone new would answer today. He wanted fresh meat with fighting styles he might not have seen before, to better prepare himself for the wolves he may actually need to fight one day.

after his last bought out in the desert, kuroo was ready to hone up his fighting skills. not that he really cared to be as great a fighter as his brother. hunting was more his thing as he was patient and careful, but spars were fun nonetheless. carrying his slim and spotted body toward the battlefield, he hoped he was going in the correct direction. having asked a few strangers to point him where to go, he believed their kindness in hindsight of their wary stares. as his paws crossed the threshold of the battlefield's bloody plains, his ears tuned into a call. ah, so he was in the right place. a smirk lit up his lips as he made his way over to the dark-coated fella. Grimshaw stood with his armor on and companions ready, but when a stranger answered his call equipped with nothing but his own fangs and claws, Grimshaw shrugged his skull and neck armor and his bracers off, handed them to his animal companions, and looked back towards the male. His rolled his shoulders as the piebald man charged, balancing his weight in the little time he had.

It was a smart move, trying to fake him by pretending to go one way only to dart and really go the other way. If it wasn't a move he used often, he perhaps would have been more surprised by it. Although he wasn't expecting it entirely, he did his best to keep his mind open and focused. He saw the subtle shift in paws and managed to arc his body outwards and away from Kuroo in the moment that he reached for his thigh. He felt teeth scrape against his flesh though thankfully dodged the brunt of the attack. While he worried about getting his rear away from the teeth of his opponent, Grimshaw dipped his head to reach for the mans rear left paw with his sharpened teeth, though his intention was to hold and possibly trip the man.

kuroo could tell the other was more experienced than him. it was obvious in the way his eyes watched his movements. the subtle shift in weight and calculated shift away from his lunge colored him impressed. as a quiet grunt left his lips, kuroo's ears folded and chin turned to spy sharpened teeth flash toward his back paw. gritting his own jaws together, he continued to circle back toward grimshaw's haunches that had swooped away from him in an attempt to shove him. feeling the sharp pain of teeth grasping his paw, he began to stumble. kuroo vs grimshaw for spar Round 2/2 Age: Over 1 Size: Large Build: Medium Skills: Beginner Intellectual & Beginner Fighter

Their dance would continue as Grimshaw reached to grab onto the males rear paw as his opponent would continue to try shoving into him. With the weight pressing into him, Grimshaw found it difficult to remain completely balanced and standing solid, so his paws began to shift beneath him in the dirt. Once his teeth had found purchase on the flesh of the other male, he did his best to make sure that his grip wasn't tight enough to cause any real pain but was enough to keep the mans balance off as he used his own faltering weight to push back into his opponent. With four legs and a bit of luck, he'd be able to knock his opponent over onto their side. Unfortunately for his opponent however, it also meant that Grimshaw would be falling with him and likely on top of him.
