Sharpen Your Claws
Raid Meeting
As time passed, the titan was getting used to moving about without his sight. He relied less on the little ones that seemed to guide him in a relay race across the land bridge, and let them wander off to have their fun as they moved about. He still stumbled, and walked slower than before, but it wasn't so disorienting now that he was figuring out how to navigate with his ears and nose. Tracking the sounds of pawsteps and the rustle of foliage around massive bodies was nearly as easy as watching the wolves move through the grasses ahead of him. By the time the reached the grove, sun beat down on his dark back and left him panting quietly in the heat. There had been a few hours of quiet, listening to the ambiance of their new surroundings and let himself doze on and off for a while. All the while he kept an ear out for the children, ensuring they didn't stray too far or get into serious trouble. He was aware that his cousin and her husband were more than equipped to care for their children, but he needed to try and help somehow. Keeping an eye on the kids was second nature, and he would gladly step in to free up some of the pair's time. When Manea's call rang out, he lifted his heavy skull and rolled to his paws. A fight? There was no possible way he could pass that up, even without working eyes. Head low and forelimbs stretching out ahead of him with each stride, he made his way towards the source of her summons. The underbrush gave way to a clearing of lush grass, and the strong scent of his cousins. An lopsided grin made its way onto his features as he lumbered over to where they were settled, tipping his head and offering a curious quirk of his crimson brow. "You gonna let me play rough with the other kids, Matriarch?" he quipped, milky white eyes pointed in what he thought was probably the direction of the pair. "I bet I can still take 'em without eyes." he added with a chuckle, and settled heavily onto his flank to sprawl out in the sunshine and wait for everyone else to join them. He hadn't seen Ara in a while, he wanted to check in on her soon. SPEECH || actions || OTHERS |
NONE OF THIS REFLECTS HOW VIRGIL FEELS ABOUT YOU OR YOUR CHARACTER, PROMISE!
It would take Kichi time to grow use to living in a band or pack but he had relaxed more over the season. At Manea’s howl for those interested in a fight Kichi was quick enough to appear. Kichi enjoyed fighting, enjoyed causing pain and enjoyed letting others feel the pain that festered in his soul. He looked towards the blind Poe without comment before sitting down silently with his attention towards Manea and Alastor. He didn’t need to say a word, the desire to spill blood was shown in his keen interest.
Torch, the fanged water deer, had trotted up with him, seemingly perfectly comfortable despite the wolves surrounding it. Pretty clear the tiny deer had no understanding it was meant to be a snack to wolves normally.
The blind wolf near him was a questionable thing in his mind. The idea of a blind wolf being useful seemed ridiculous by his way of thinking but if Al wanted him in the band then Kichi wasn’t going to debate the point.
This had been the moment Alastor had been waiting for since their meeting with Fenmyre's king. The demon wolf had never participated in an organized raid before, practice or real, so his chance to get involved and sink his teeth into a proper fight for the first time in an age had him eager and excited. When he and Manea had reached a decision on when the practice raid would be held and who they wanted to participate in it, he followed Manea to the center of their campsite while she called for their fighters. He took a seat beside his queen, his wife, his soul mate and cast a wicked grin her way while her fluffy tail brushed against his hip, the barely contained sexual hunger in his eyes for her smoldering. After their meeting, there was no doubt what he was thinking of doing to her, but the fun could come later. They had business to attend to.
Alastor got comfortable with his new longer, fluffier coat melting down around him and watched with shining black eyes as the rest of the band assembled. Poe made his way to the campfire first, eager to voice his support for whatever Manea had in mind. Kichi came next, and Alastor greeted his surrogate son with a wide, toothy grin and proud nod of his head. He was still overjoyed that Kichi had decided to stay around with them. The selfish side of him was excited to watch the wolf Kichi grew into; someone strong and ferocious, a force to be feared and respected. He would do well in this raid and it would be the outlet they both needed. The smile on Alastor's face was an almost manic one, reminiscent of the crazed, demented smile he had worn so often in his younger years. Violence still brought out the demons in him, and the wolf was ready to unleash the devil within him.
"speak."| "You"
She turned her attention then to Manea, looking at her proud cousin, and the leader of this merry band. She trusted the purple wolf to lead them down the right path, and despite her worry for Poe, her tail gave a small swish of excitement behind her.
With her band assembled she looked at them with a grin. "Alastor and I went to speak with the king of a nearby pack that goes by Fenmyre. During our visit we arranged to have a raid against their fighters. It's a bit of practice for both of us. They are fairly new as far as packs go and as a new group ourselves it will be a good test of our ability to work together. Plus, the winner provides dinner for the other and who can say no to dinner on a tropical island?" She chuckled with a sly grin and then nodded to the camp behind them as she rose to her paws. "Gather any armor you may have and meet me back here."
