Chores, oof. Still, it seemed like a reasonable trade for being able to stay here. Hazel would learn about the borders too, and they'd do the chores together. The red and pale girl's ears flattened a bit against her head as well, as she heard the warlord chastise his grandson once more. As Lis moved past her, the girl offered a soft, apologetic bump of her nose to his shoulder. It wouldn't be long before she saw him again, at least.

As Sirius made his way from the storage room, Hazel moved quickly after him, doing her best to keep up with his long strides. "I don't want Basilisk to be in trouble because of me," she admitted quietly. "He was just tryin' to help, it's my fault," her defense was soft, a child's voice at the warlord's side. Maybe it was a side effect, being used to a more explosive temper from her parents.

She padded beside Sirius with careful, quiet steps. He really was tall. His legs were long too, and Hazel trotted to keep up with him. They moved over a bridge, and to the mouth of a den. Seer (sir) asked for someone called Zee... was that his wife? Hazel's head cocked to the side, curious as ever. As his gaze turned back to her, the girl felt... small. Smaller than usual. Still, she did her best to smile.
