Kore is ready. He had left the den before Kal this morning, eager to find the perfect ambush spot. A smile dances along dark lips as he watches the entrance of their den, ready to leap out and attack his brother when he appears. The warmth of the sun is intoxicating, bring out the playfulness in the nebula pup. Sure, his front end is hunkered down in the grass, dark form obscured by the long stalks but Kore has forgotten one crucial detail. Peeking out of the top of his grass patch, is a puppy butt complete with wagging tail. Oh man! Kal will never know what hits him. He hears shuffling paws inside the den, and his tail stills, eyes watching intently for the moment his brother’s black and blue form breaks away from the threshold.

"Kore Regni"

When Kore is certain that Kal is walking away from the den, the nebula pelted boy will launch himself from his cover, aiming to charge straight at his brother and knock him off his paws in an attempt to pin the boy quickly. Happy yips follow Kore’s progress toward his brother and he knows he lost the element of surprise. Oh well, he can still win!

Kal didn’t get up much after Kore but it seemed to be enough that he’d been the last one out.  The dark pup sat up and glanced around to make sure no one was hiding in the den waiting to surprise him.  Nope, brother and sister were gone.  Kal made his way to the entrance, trotting out and glancing about.

Now, Kalyke wasn’t trained nor did he have the experience to pay a great deal of attention to things however a butt and tail sticking up in the grass really wasn’t all that hard to see.  Before he could think to take a step towards his ‘hidden’ brother Kore came charging out yipping all the way.

Ahhh! A chance to prove his future worth as a fighter.  Kal shoved his front half to the ground in a play bow and what he imagined as a good position to attack from.  As his brother approached he raised his top half from the floor, trying to wrap his paws about Kore and chew on the ear.  A brilliant attack filled with snarling growls.

"Speech"

Kal is ready for his attack! How did he know? With a huge grin, Kore charges his brother, ready for anything.

When Kal raises his front half off the ground, the galaxy boy mirrors his brother. Two small puppy bodies collide in a tangle of limbs and happy squeaking. Kal gets his legs around Kore’s neck and starts chewing on his dark purple ear.

Ouch!

Snarling fiercely, Kore uses his sharp puppy teeth to try and naw on Kal’s neck and chest.

HA! Take that!

Suddenly the world shifts as Kore loses his balance when one of his back paws steps on a small rock instead of solid ground.

The rock moved! How dare it!

His blue eyes widen in surprise and he lets out a startled yelp as he trembles, trying to wrap his forelegs around Kal. Okay, to be fair, he is just trying to regain his balance and that is why he reaches for his brother but his sinking body weight might pull Kal down with him if Kore manages to get his legs around his brother.

"Kore Regni"

Kal was doing great! He was messing up Kore’s ear to win the battle, or at least it was fun mouthing it.  Kal gave a high yip of pain then a puppy snarl as Kore’s teeth got his neck.  Defense wasn’t really a thing he’d thought of bothering with yet.

A dastardly attack comes as Kore wraps his paws around him and then obviously intentionally pulls him down to the ground so that they land into a heap.  With the two of them on the ground, the fight continues! Kalyke stretches his mouth open as wide as he can to try and bite his brother’s muzzle.  Scrambling to try and get on top of his brother so that he can pin Kore to the ground.  It’ll be a victory if he can get his brother pinned!

"Speech"

The brothers snarl and growl fiercely at each other, biting hard into each other’s flesh. Okay, the noises are really higher pitched ‘yipes’ then actual growls but puppy teeth hurt! Kore’s ear throbs as Kal naws on it and he pinches the flesh of the blue pup’s neck in retaliation. The purple boy is reward with high pitched, slightly undignified yip.

Ha! Take that!

Then the world shifts and the two pups tumble the ground in a tangle of limbs and squeaks. Kal’s mouth stretches wide, aiming to bite the purple boy’s muzzle. Hey now! That is not nice! Kore winds up a paw and aims to smack his brother’s errant muzzle. Unfortunately, before he the galaxy boy can launch his defensive maneuver, Kal’s teeth wrap around his muzzle and pinch.

OUCH!

Paw strikes out toward his brother, aiming to smack his muzzle and try to throw Kal off balance so the pup cannot climb on top of him. Kore flails his limbs about, flashing his scary teeth and growling deeply (high pitched squeaks). The galaxy clad boy tries to gain the advantage and perch atop his fallen brother. He is going to pin Kal!... He hopes.

"Kore Regni"

Kal gets smacked and jerks his head back, forgetting to open his mouth at first so there is the potential of leaving a small paper-cut-sized cut on his brothers muzzle.  However, the whack does work and as Kal pulls back he also falls away from his attempt at trying to get on top of Kore.

Wait! Now Kore was trying to get on top of him?  That was not part of this plan!  Kal snarls and tries to roll over to get Kore to be on the bottom.  Kalyke was gonna pin his brother or at least get them both covered in grass as they rolled around the ground trying to pin each other.  Vicious puppy snarls and showing off prickly puppy teeth came along with this ferocious fight.

AH! Kal bite him and drew blood! Time for him to go down.

The paper cut on his lip stings slightly but Kore is more interested in pinning his brother and winning. They roll and tumble, brambles and grass getting stuck in the galaxy clad pup’s coat while he laughs the whole time. At some point, the purple boy gets the upper paw and pins his brother, standing with his paws on Kal’s chest and head held high. Letting out a victory bark, Kore says, “Ha! I am the mightiest warrior that has ever lived!” Tilting his head down, Kore winks at the blue pup, teasing him a moment more before moving off his brother to try and strut a undignified victory dance. Really it is just a bunch of jerky movements and whooping yipes but in the pup’s mind, it is the greatest dance ever!

Turning to Kal with a cocky smile, the purple boy asks, “Well, now that we have determined I am the best… what do you want to do?” Kore’s eyes are alight with mischievous intent.


"Kore Regni"

The two pups wrestled, they rolled, they snapped and fought in a way that lacked about as many fighting skills as possible.  It seemed the only thing they’d figured out was to try and be on top or get their mouth on the other pup.  In the end though, Kore was the one on top.

Kal scoffed at his brother mouthing off on winning, waving a paw in the air at him, “alright, alright lemme up.” When Kore moved Kal got up and shook off a few of the numerous furs stuck to his coat.  

The black and blue pup snorted at his brother again mentioning being the greatest even as he asked about to what do next.  Really, Kal didn’t know, maybe just run till they found something fun to do?  “Well Mr.great,” Kal began before his eyes widened as he looked at Kore and slowly moved closer to stare at the lip.  Yes!! A tiny piece of it had a dip of red in it.  Just a dot but Kal had put it there! “Heyyyy, you may have pinned me but I drew blood!! Oh wow, I didn’t let you do that!  You aren’t that great, you just got lucky!”  


"Speech"

Kore does his little victory dance, grinning widely at his brother as he goes, turning to shake shake his butt at Kal. Finally, he stops, a huge grin resting on his face until Kalyke points out something on his lip. Huh? Eyes cross as Kore tries to see the tiny cut on his muzzle, the tell-tale red of blood standing out in his dark fur. Kal gloats about drawing blood and the galaxy cloaked pup scroffs and tries to play it off, saying, “Yeah well, I had to let bite me! Didn’t want to feel too bad when I pinned you.” Stinking out his tongue at his icy brother, Kore then gives a hearty puppy laugh moving to try and climb on his brother’s back. As he moves, the nebula boy says, “You did good Kal, I’m just messing with you. So whatca want to do now?” His energy is restless and excited the thrill of the fight still pumping adrenaline through his veins as he attempts to climb on his brother.
