The Meeting of the Murder Bunch
Saracyn, Albion, Scylla

Avacyn's obsidian eyes looked curiously around the island while she and Saracyn explored it, walking through tropical forest and down paths that lead toward a large structure toward the middle of the island. It was a very different kind of island from the island that they had lived on before in the northern half of Boreas. This place seemed much more warm with far more green, lush plants while their island had been cooler and mountainous with lots of evergreens. She wasn't sure which landscape she preferred, but she knew her father with his thick, long fur would prefer the cooler weather and that was enough of a reason so sway her opinion. She had overheard her mother talking about maybe going back to their island soon and even though there was nothing confirmed yet she was still very excited about the idea.
They reached a large compound and she started to walk through it with a soft 'ooooh' of interest. There was a large tree in the middle of everything and she padded around it, hopping from one tree root to another. Avacyn had only ever lived in things like caves and dens so these kinds of structures were wholly unfamiliar to her. She wasn't sure how she felt about living somewhere that they couldn't shape and make whatever they wanted out of it, but she supposed it was pretty convenient to not have to build or dig anything. "What do you think, Sara? Where should we look for the kids Chimera talked about?" she asked her brother as she stepped over to where he was standing, leaning into his side for a moment.

Saracyn couldn't have been less interested in finding the other inhabitants of the island if he tried. He had been glad Mom and Dad had brought him and Avacyn along to visit the Austerian pack and get to explore while they handled all the adult stuff, but he wasn't exactly in the mood for meeting a bunch of ragtag hillbillies trapped in an island convent. Nothing about this place appealed to him. It was muggy, it was damp, it looked weird, and it wasn't like their island back north. Sara missed his home and he still hated that they had to leave behind the island they'd known and loved. So suffice to say, the scarlet pup was feeling sour over the entire idea of being here.
Still, he followed his sister while they wandered the island. He scared away a flock of toucans and tried to chomp on some strange marmoset creature while they scoured the island. Eventually, the twins arrived at the estate Chimera had directed them to, and while Ava gawked at the massive ficus tree, Saracyn sauntered about the atrium as if he owned the place. As he neared his first birthday, his size began to show more and more, and there would be no doubt that he would match his sire in terms of size. Icy cobalt eyes swept over the vast wings of the estate, coming back to his sister when she came back to lean into his side.
"You were actually going to look for the kids?" he asked with a barking laugh, razor sharp teeth flashing in a cynical grin while he rolled his eyes. "C'mon, Ava, you don't really wanna spend the day watching a bunch of babies, do you?" A quick sniff of the air brought him the scents of several fresh, young puppies, all of which the red-furred lad wanted nothing to do with. "But y'know, we could go looking around this place. I bet there's tons of cool stuff and secrets in these rooms." He flashed Ava a roguish grin coupled with an eyebrow waggle as he meandered over to the east wing of the estate, sliding open a door and peering into the quiet hall. He shot a glance back at his twin that said "You coming?" before he headed in to start snooping around. If his parents weren't going to let him be involved in the fun, then he'd make his own fun.

The scent and sound of wolves wafted through the open windows on a gentle sea breeze. Sounds serene, right? Not so much. Not when these wolves were strangers. Scylla didn't know who they were and with the attack on Erystotle happening so recently, the girl was instantly on high alert. She strapped her serpentine blade to one foreleg and slunk over to the window, peering out at the pair of trespassers. They were young, but so was she. Scylla knew that she was dangerous, so the pair being sub-adults didn't mean much to her. Eyes narrowed with suspicion, she watched the pair come closer and closer to the room that she was currently in. Of all the rooms that they could have chosen, they chose the one that she was in. Good.
The words of the boy met her ears and it took everything within Scylla to keep from growling. Slowly and quietly, she positioned herself just before the door. When he opened it, she would be ready. As the wooden door slid open, the slate and snow girl wasted no time. Planting her hind paws, she reared up like a ram and came arching down, slamming her forehead square into the boys nose. Scylla knew how sensitive noses were and was counting on the pain and the confusion to keep the intruder dull for but a moment.
Withdrawing the serpentine blade from its sheath, the fiery princess flashed small but sharp teeth at the pair. "I demand to know who you are and why you're in my home." Her words were cold and precise. There was no anxiousness in her, merely cold calculation. There was intent in those mismatched eyes too. If they didn't give her the proper answer, she was prepared to use that blade and defend her home.
Scylla should be seen as a very adult character who will indulge in acts that others may find graphic and uncomfortable. Steer clear if you don't like this sort of thing.

Albion was sleeping, he was most active during the night time hours as many of the Klein heritage were. His massive form was sprawled over his mother’s beds, Siren curled up taking a nap on one corner and he took up most of the rest of the space. Despite his age he was a massive pup with long slender limbs and a much heavier body than looks would reveal. With those stick-like legs he stretched from forever to corner. The day was warm, not that it mattered during the rainy season, but being active at night shielded him completely from any heat of the day.
As it was, the sun was out today and streaming easily through the old glass windows, spilling into the room but sparing the bed. The boy didn’t usually crawl out of bed until the sun was at least into the evening, but he was in a light state of sleep so the commotion so close to their room roused him.
White blue eyes blinked open sleepily as his ears swiveled curiously, catching his sister’s voice. The scent of stranger wafted towards him and Albion couldn’t help but slip off the bed. He shook his pelt and peeked around the corner to find Scylla holding up a pup much larger and older than she was. Cat like paws carried him all the way out of the room, pale blue eyes taking in every detail of the scene before him. From the shine of Scylla’s knife, over the boy she defied, and towards the girl who was outside behind him.
Albion wasn’t in the least worried about his tiny sister as she squared up with the strange boy, but he did hold his own concerns about an invasion. No doubt their father would have kept a couple of pups out, so why were they here? Silently Albi watched, curious how the scenario would turn out.

Avacyn gave Saracyn a disapproving glance when he laughed at the idea of finding Chimera's children even though he had instructed them to. "You don't know that they're all babies. I doubt that he would have told us to look for them if they were," she reminded him with an eye roll of her own. Sure, maybe they were babies, but they wouldn't know that until they found them. She didn't want their parents and the alpha hosting them to find them later and not have anything to show for it. In true Saracyn fashion though he wasn't phased and instead suggested they go snooping around the estate to find something cool. She scoffed softly and gave a shake of her head, watching as he sauntered up to one of the doors and slid it open. She sighed as he looked back at her with a look asking if she was coming and she just rolled her eyes and turned away, intending to go back to searching the grounds themselves and looking for interesting scents, but the sound of her brother getting hit made her stop and her head whipped back to look and see what was going on.
Her obsidian gaze landed on a smaller girl practically holding her brother at knife point, questioning him on why he was in their home, after apparently punching him in the nose or something similar. It was impossible to keep the little smirk that pulled at her lips as a thought of 'I told you so' crossed her mind, but she kept herself from chuckling at least as she padded up behind Saracyn, coming up beside him to address the girl that she had a feeling was one of the children Chimera had directed them to. She held up a feline paw almost as if to say 'we come in peace' as she said, "Sorry for intruding. Our parents are having a meeting with Chimera and he directed us here and told us to find his children." Putting down her paw she added, "Would you happen to be his daughter? I'm Avacyn Mendacium, this is my brother Saracyn."

Saracyn scoffed and rolled his bored eyes when Avacyn, the goodie-two-shoes she was, insisted they try to find the children instead and obey their parents. At his insistence for her to follow him into the estate, Ava instead turned away, causing his fur to bristle in ire, but the lad instead just huffed and turned back to the door, sliding it open and stepping a paw inside.
Thwack!
All of a sudden, something solid slammed hard into his nose, causing stars to explode before Saracyn's vision while he stumbled back out the door and collapsed to his haunches with a grunt of pain. It was like his brain had hit a restart switch, a dizzying swirling overtaking his vision for a moment while his senses tried to recalibrate. He felt wetness dripping down the end of his snout, and when he pressed a paw to the end of his muzzle, he saw thick red blood on his pads. What the fuck had just happened?! A young feminine voice spoke coldly to him. Sara glanced up at his assailant, spotting this tiny wolf with an abnormally long tail holding a dagger toward him and Avacyn. The crown of her head had dots of dark red from where he'd bled on her after she'd head butted him. Saracyn hadn't heard a word of what she said, but he didn't need to. This little rat thing had attacked him and that was all he needed to know.
Cobalt eyes blazing with lethal fire, Saracyn righted himself to his paws with a growl. "Fucking bitch!" the red-furred prince spat out, jagged shark-like teeth displayed in a vicious snarl while he flexed his paw and extended the serrated blade from his leather bracer, drawing a dagger of his own on the girl. "I'll skin you and wear you like a scarf!" But before he could launch into a battle to turn the slate and cream squirrel-wolf into an accessory, Avacyn was maneuvering gracefully between the two combatants, taking the diplomatic approach while she apologized to the girl and her much larger brother who had just emerged from the room.
"Ava!" groaned Saracyn in frustration, but knew he wouldn't be getting past his twin sister without violence. With an annoyed huff, Sara retracted the blade back into his bracer and stalked off to the opposite side of the garden, snatching a leaf from a fern to begin holding against his bleeding nose. "Don't introduce me to them," he shouted back when he heard Avacyn going through the hassle of introductions. The oversized badger-skunk and her brother didn't need to know his name.

Still standing with dagger at the ready, Scylla was raring to go. She wanted the older boy to say something or do something. She wanted to spill more of his blood. Nothing would make her happier, especially after what he called her. The small girl's speckle striped coat bristled and she flashed her own teeth, mismatched eyes glinting with undisguised malice. His second threat brought a growl from the girl. "Not before I pop those pretty blue eyes out of your head, you half rotten strawberry." Yeah... so he was red with dark spots... like a rotten strawberry. Whatever.
The purple girl that was with the bastard stepped forward, attempting to smooth things over. Scylla's gaze never left the russet boy as his sister spoke. Apparently they were guests and their parents were speaking with her father. Gaze narrowing as the boy stalked off, Scylla sheathed her blade and looked to the girl who introduced both herself and her brother. Motion from the corner of her eye pulled Scylla's attention to Albion for a moment. Where had he been when she was beating up the riffraff?
"Scylla Klein and this is my brother, Albion," She spoke with a nod. "King Chimera is indeed our father," the girl added. "Does your brother always walk into the homes of others uninvited? There are things here that aren't meant to be seen by outsiders." One may have thought that she was talking about the slave pens, but she was really talking about her own secret hut of treasures. She didn't want anyone in there unless she decided that they should be in there.
Casting a sidelong glance at her silent brother, Scylla's brow furrowed. She probably should try to be a little diplomatic, eh? The slate and snow wolf's eyes fixed on the sulking red brute again and she spoke. "I apologize for harming you." The words were a little stiff, but she said them. "I know some healing. Do you want me to look at your nose?" She was being generous. More generous than a trespasser, for he certainly had tried to be one, deserved.

Ghostly blue eyes watched the events unfold, not an uncommon occurrence for the observant boy. Everything started happening quickly though, and he barely noticed the purple girl join them as the boy regained his wits. He spouted an insult towards Scylla and he reacted without thinking. His hackles raised over his neck and back as he put himself even with his sister. The corners of his lips rose to reveal a hint of the serrated teeth behind. Then the other girl was there, blocking the way from her brother to Scylla which seemed to diffuse the situation enough. Albion was still unamused, but held himself back from retribution as the girl Avacyn apologized for herself and her brother.
An act that had the sulking boy calling back over his shoulder. Albion remained silent, watching the rest of the altercation prepared to act in support to his sister’s desire. It seemed the girls were much more open to the diplomatic approach so Albi relaxed the fur at the back of his neck and returned his expression to one of mild curiosity.
Scylla introduced the two of them in turn, giving her own name and his as explanations were given. Their father had sent them here. After a glance towards him, one he caught from the corner of his icy eyes, she offered to fix what was broken with her healing skills. With a yawn Albi sat back onto his haunches, he was awake now. At the least he’d be amused here hanging over his sister’s shoulder.
