Love is not a competition
Halo
Her newly crafted satchel bounced softly against her side as she walked through the woods, with the soft and comforting chittering of Elindine in her ear. After saving the poor lemur from certain death she had decided to stick with Inoki, who had been pleasantly surprised at first, but quickly found the small creature to be quite likable, especially after Elindine had helped her craft the satchel that she so desperately needed. Immediately it had been filled with all sorts of oddities and herbs she collected on her travels.
Specifically today she was on her way to Armada, hoping to surprise Halo with a small gift of some Trillium she had found nearby hidden deftly in the thick undergrowth of the mangrove to the south. There was no question about it that her friend would have more more use for it, and given it's rarity Inoki wanted to waste no time in passing it off before it dried out improperly and began to wilt. She could only hope Halo would appreciate it along with getting to spend some moee time together.
Far too much time had passed since they last met and Inoki felt a swirl of unfamiliarity in her stomach at the thought that Halo might even be annoyed she hadn't checked in recently. But with Elindine talking words of encouragement in her ear she pressed on, hoping the woman would be out foraging again so she wouldn't have to bother anyone at the pack border. |
