It was inevitable Kotori make it to round two of the tournament.  There was no way he’d lose in round one, even if it had been against one of his sisters.  Now he moved into the fighting ring for himself and Grimshaw somewhere between irritated and amused that once again it was someone in his own pack.  He had wanted to face off against those, not in the armada.  The Fatalis family had done well the first round, with both Briar, Gossy, and him still in the match.  No one would think the Fatalis family weak with this showing.

Grimshaw got a smug grin, head lowered and tail even with his body.  “Sorry Grimshaw, but I’m not ready to leave the tournament yet.”

Grim wasn't sure what happened at his last spar. The woman stormed off after the battle leaving him to continue regardless of his place in the spar. He wouldn't argue though and moved on quickly to finding a new opponent. Silver eyes cast over malachai's form in the crowd and he was quick to look away and for someone else instead.

He caught kotoris gaze and smirked, eager to take the boy on as he taunted him. He didn't want to leave either, but he also didn't want to fight malachai... or did he? Pushing the questioning thought to the back of his mind, he squared up to kotori before rushing towards him. Charging towards the smaller man, Grimshaw aimed to put on the brakes and skid dirt into the man's face as his body pivoted sideways for effective spraying. As he slowed, he dipped his head low to snap towards the man's front paws as the dirt faded.

Kotori had played the dirty game of, well, dirt to another’s face so as Grim turned Kotori put his muzzle downward, protecting his eyes and using horns for a second of defense.  It turns out that having his head down low was the best move he could have made though he hadn’t seen it coming.  

Kotori’s paw pulled back, Grim’s teeth raked along fur and skin.  No deep bite, but Grim had made his contact.  Kotori’s responded by biting at the larger wolf’s muzzle, aiming to pay him back for that bite.  As the horned wolf did he attempted to push in closer so that there was as little space as possible between their two bodies, making it a matter of strength and balance as well as biting.

Kotori intended to win this contest.  Grim would have to wait for another day to try and beat him.

"Kotori Fatalis"

The dirt in the face trick hardly worked it seemed, though his fangs had made contact with the other mans paw if only briefly. It wasn't but a moment later that he felt teeth pressing into his muzzle, the familiar feeling of pain focusing him instead of distracting him. As Kotori shifted his weight into Grimshaw his body swayed to support the weight he was placing on him. His opponent was shorter, though not by much. With height at his disposal, he reared his neck backwards to break free from the grasp Kotori had, caring little about the scratches it left behind and the blood that would lightly stain his face. The close proximity Kotori had forced them into didn't give the man much room to move in that moment of freedom, but with the force of his neck rearing back his upper body rose and arms reached out to attempt grabbing at him as he would try to use his larger size to topple the man.

Kotori had managed to get Grim’s muzzle but not for long and it was only a moment later Grimshaw had hopped up to bite at the neck and seemed to have the idea of trying to get Kotori to fall down.  The horned wolf lowered his neck and then swiftly attempted to jump up with his front legs, pretty much trying to buck Grim off.  Kotori didn’t need to get Grimm to totally fall off, just to get one of Grimm’s feet to get close enough that the smaller wolf could bite ino one and drag him off.  Hopefully, he’d be able to get Grimm on the ground and pinned.  It was a battle of balance and strength which was the sort of thing Kotori liked.
