Sedna hadn’t spent much time on the southern continent. As she eyed the strange trees that sprung up around her and the strange red sap that dripped from them, the flipping of her stomach told her that maybe it was for the best. Her opossum was perched on her neck, muttering low warnings and tugging her ears. She rolled her blazing orange eyes, of course she knew what the plants were, and under other circumstances, she would have already begun to gather the sap, but right now? Well, it wasn’t an ideal time for her to go handling medicines that could aid in abortion. As unpleasant as being pregnant was, whatever children came of it were very much wanted.
Her teeth twitched back and forth in time with the turning of her ears. There hadn’t been any packs here the last time she was this far south, and she had already passed two, one had the familiar scent of Artorias and Briar about it, the other had a hint of something Ashen it, though she couldn’t quite put her paw on it. Either way, she had skirted both as best she could.
For now though, she would continue south, and mark this place out in memory for… other times. Dragons blood was also useful to mix into a poultice or even for stomach upsets and ulcers. No point to write off the area completely just because it didn’t suit her now.
Once she hit the coast, then she would make up her mind about whether she went east, or west. Best to get her exploring in while she was still slim enough to travel.

Except that once he caught sight of her form, he had to do a double take to ensure he was not mistaken. The Sedna he knew-barely, mind you- had a grey, plain pelt and was considerably smaller than the woman before him. Fangs dipped from the length of her muzzle and though hidden well along the scruff of her neck, crystal spines poked out from between the fur. She was an entirely new woman it seemed.
And pregnant too, from the smell of it.
"What happened to you?" He began, stepping closer only to stop at a respectful, conversational distance. As always his question was double-edged. Both in terms of her new look and form, but her pregnancy too. Was she supposed to be wandering this far from the Armada? As far as he knew Sirius wouldn't approve of such a trek, possessive man that he was, and in her condition too.

Certainly the last voice she expected to hear here, Sedna’s now orange eyes fell on the dark coated man with a smile, her tail giving a low wave of acknowledgement, grateful at least some wolves knew how to use their noses. “Yer mean when I fell in th’ wrong puddle in th’ swamp, or when I ran into one o’ yer lot? Maybe yer know ‘im, looks a bit like Hana, tall guy, short tail, big teeth.” Of course, she didn’t expect Hattori to know each and every koi that popped up around here, and it came through in the joking lit of her speech. She had been subjected to much the same during her younger years, Brown or grey, grey or peach eyes, must be an Archer, you must know them.
It had been a long time clearly, and she obviously hadn’t been attention to inter-pack relations lately. “How’re’yer bones?” She imagined whatever had been going on had long since settled down by now, or she probably would have seen the large man again.

Hattori stared.
"Raijin." Hattori told her flatly, his ears swerving back. He knew that man all too well. "He's my cousin." Unfortunately. And what of his bones? It took him a moment to recall they'd been giving him some trouble long ago, aches and pains he just couldn't shift. He shrugged. "They are fine."
