His mother was around, watching him and the others as they went about investigating and having fun. But now it was time for the fights to start, and Morax had wasted no time in getting to the ring. He wasn't as big or bulky or beefed up and kitted out as some of the others he saw around here, but no matter. He was still a kid, and he wasn't too worried about all that stuff right now.

As his partner and opponents showed up on the field, Morax cast a brief nod to his partner before sizing up the others. There was no doubt in his mind he wanted the big pink lady, so with a shake of his head, he charged at her. Though he had little to no actual fighting experience, that didn't matter. He was always eager to test himself, and what better way than to literally throw himself to the wolves? He sought to charge in and full on tackle the larger woman's leg, hoping to unbalance her as he snapped at her lower chest in an effort to at least pull out some fur!

Mitros rolled up alongside his partner, ready to fight to his last breath if that's what it took from him. Confidence was visible in every movement as he trotted happy into the ring, barely noticing the opponents they had to fight until it hit him - was this a pup versus adult fight? His brows scrunched inwards at the adults, then back at the pup partner he'd been assigned. Crap.

Morax ran in towards the pink one and Mitros wasn't sure what the best move would be in turn. Would it be better for both pups to gang up on one adult? Whatever the strategy, Mitros' confidence had fully waned. He took in a breath and charged in with a battle cry that sounded relatively unsure, his teeth aiming to fall upon the black and red wolf's ankle.

Usagi and his packmate, Yaeume had been paired up to face off some opponents, which he didn’t mind. The two of them were quiet, a bit aloof, but blunt and straightforward. He didn’t much care for those who rambled on and on constantly, so Ume’s company was just fine. As the two of them were directed to their opponents, the koi wolf male soon realized they were up against..pups. The sword-carrying male quirked a brow in confusion, he was sure the pink wolf next to him felt similarly. Surely they didn’t think their skills were on par with such young children? Whatever. That just meant he had to reduce his attacks so as to not accidently hurt them. He was able to tone down his intensity well, and he figured it couldn’t hurt to finally spar against someone smaller than he. As the galaxy-looking white pup launched himself towards his packmate, he couldn’t help but observe the blue-speckled pup who looked up at him seemed suddenly a bit wary at the realization of their age and size difference. He didn’t much care for pups, but he wouldn’t go out of his way to harm or scare one, either. As the pup gave out a dampened battle cry and soon aimed to bite his ankle, Usagi realized his now taller stature to the pup gave him the advantage of seeing the boy’s attack.

Lifting his hind leg just slightly out of the boy’s reach, he felt the whoosh of the puppy’s jaws snap just past his foot - he knew better than to underestimate a pup entirely, though. They were tiny, but their teeth were razor sharp. In the same breath, he firmly put that hind foot down, using it to swivel himself around and swiftly lower his upper body down at the blue child’s level, aiming to use the top of his skull to check Mitros’s side so as to make him lose balance. To an adult it would’ve barely been a tickle, and to a pup it was about the same intensity of a sibling bumping into him. Not harmful in the least, but just enough to make a kid his size stumble if it wasn’t quite expected.

Was this a joke? Were they playing with them? How in earth were the two skilled samurai paired with pups? She nor Usagi would be able to fight with their full strength and all the good vibes she came here with? Using her things wouldn't have use with youngling and even though she wanted a good fight, she wasn't an ass to maul a pup. Well she would atleast try be nicer than she would have been with an adult. She felt how the pup went for her leg and then to her neck. She let the boy get her but that was the end of her courtesy. She would attempt to bite hard on the pup's scruff near his head while she aims to place her left paw on the boys back, claws hidden as she wasn't going to use the here.

He had succeeded in his attack, though perhaps it wasn't the best plan. Teeth caught skin and fur and he had managed to collide with her leg, though his assault seemed to do little to deter her. She was still on her feet and before he knew it, he felt teeth on his scruff. He yelped in surprise as he flailed his head around, teeth snapping wildly as he tried to bite her face wherever he could. He felt her paw drape over his back, so the boy instinctively rolled onto his back and quickly tried to drag her head with him (if she was still holding his scruff) and tried to kick her face or whatever he could reach.

Okay...so maybe he had severely underestimated this whole idea. He thought they would've been pit against others in similar age, or at the very least, size. But that wasn't the case and he had a sinking feeling he wouldn't be winning anything today.
