To celebrate the new alliance between Fenmyre and The Hallows, Chimera had decided to take his family to the castle for a visit. The trek from Eastern Auster to Western Auster would take a bit of time, so the man piled all of his young children into a decent sized wagon which he pulled himself. Thankfully the wheels were well oiled and he had little trouble carting the bunch around. When the women's dainty legs grew tired, they were welcome to rest in the cart as well.

All of Chimera's queens had accompanied him on the journey. It was the first time that all three of them had left the island with him together. He was glad to let them get out and stretch their legs, but the man was also pretty wary. He was fiercely protective of his women and really didn't want anyone else even looking at them. Having them out and about was a bit of a test for himself and hopefully he passed without biting anyone's face off.

Taking several pitstops along the way, the gaggle of Fenmyrians finally made it to Hallows borders. It was early evening and the sun was still shining in the sky. Chimera raised his muzzle and called out for the Hallows Aegis, announcing their arrival. He'd sent a dog on ahead so that Artorias could prepare, but it was still common courtesy to call at the border.

As they waited for Artorias or one of his pack to arrive, Chimera turned to his brood, fixing them each with a hard stare. "Your best behavior," he told the lot of them. They were the future of Fenmyre and he expected them to act as such.

"Fenmyre"

The dark fluff ball of a pup was beyond excited, dying to finally see what was beyond the seas that surrounded the island he'd been for the past seasons as he grew. Tail wagging and nose sniffing the air from the wagon were clear signs of how hard he was trying not to lose his control. He was just like any pup coming to see the world for the first time. And little tied him away from being wilder than he should. His father's words came deep into his ears. "Yes dad, ill be a good boy!" Or that he hopped.

He was excited to see the enormous castle, a fortress bigger than anything he had ever seen until now, and all the excitement grew with each centimeter they approached.

"Chimera's Children"

Chimera's declaration that they were going to go across to the west side of Auster for a big family trip to The Hallows certainly surprised her. She knew he was quite fond of The Hallows' alpha, but she never expected him to willingly bring all of the Queens and his children off of the island that he generally tried to keep them secluded to. She was more than happy to go along with whatever plans Chimera wished to carry out though and it would be nice to let all of the pups get out for a bit and start seeing more of the world. At the very least she knew Ruse was beyond thrilled to get to go see more of Auster and see the big castle that The Hallows occupied.

She had quite the task when it kept to keeping Rusalka from trying to climb out of the cart on the way to visit the other Auster dwelling pack. Her daughter was probably big enough to just walk along with the older children now, but she didn't trust her little adventurer to not go running off into the woods after some little animal she spotted or to go diving into any little den or cave they passed. It was easier to scold her for trying to get out of the cart than it was to chase her down. She was glad when they finally reached the border of the pack since at least she knew they would be in protected lands soon enough so she wouldn't have to watch Ruse quite so closely. She came to wait with Chimera for Artorias or one of the other pack members to greet them, adding her own stern look to Chimera's as she glanced back at her daughter.

"Dalila Vista Klein"

Ruse was fidgeting and wiggling like crazy in the cart that her father pulled as they made their way to visit The Hallows. She wanted to get out and explore the other lands they passed through so bad, but any time she tried to sneak out of the cart her mother's watchful eyes caught her and she had to slink back to sitting with all of her little half-brothers. It wasn't fair that she had to ride in the cart when she was older than them, but her mother wasn't hearing any of her reasoning or pleading so eventually she gave up and just watched the world go by instead. When she saw the huge castle appear up ahead of them she grinned and stood with her front paws on the edge of the cart, her tail wagging a mile a minute. She wanted to just race up there and start exploring right now! But her father called for the other pack and then looked back at them with a reminder to be on their best behavior and she gave him a bright smile, sweetly replying, "Yes, dad!" She couldn't cause too much trouble just roaming around the castle, could she?

"Rusalka Alondra Klein"

Little Revenant was practically abuzz with excitement! His first time leaving pack lands; wow! For the longest time, the obsidian and silver little boy would gaze at the mainland from the island's shores, wanting to go exploring and see the vast wide world with his own eyes, traverse the lands with his own four paws. Now he would finally get that chance! Bounding from one side of the wagon to the other for the duration of the trip, Revenant "ooh"ed and "aah"ed at every sight they passed, from the dense aspen forest to the cedar woods, the rushing water of the falls, and then the expansive plains with the massive castle right in the middle of it all. The trip was long and the overwhelming excitement was tiring, but the boy managed to stay up and alert for the entirety of the trip, doing his best to keep from fighting with Morendo or Orthrus just for fun. Orthrus was a goody-two-shoes, and Morendo wouldn't stop that obnoxious singing thing he was trying to do, so really he deserved it.

As they neared the borders of Hallowed lands, Revenant suddenly picked up the scent of many different wolves he didn't know. Trying to climb up over the side of the wagon to get a better view, he recoiled a bit when his father's stern gaze fell on them, ordering their best behavior. "Yes, Dad," he agreed, though much less enthusiastically than Rusalka or Orthrus did. Was he not always on his best behavior? Hmph! Half dangling out of the wagon, Revenant gazed about with excited eyes scanning the world around him, wondering just what sort of wonders awaited them.

"Revenant"

When Chimera had proposed the idea of a family trip to go visit their new allies across the continent, Aliana had been thrilled at such a spectacular idea! Their children hadn't left the island, bar that one time they had a family picnic in the Aspen Dam, and she knew it would be good to let the boys become a little more worldly and see some things beyond the boundaries of the island's golden shores. So that early morning, she helped wrangle up her half dozen energetic nuggets and load them into the wagon Chimera had procured for them, and then off they went. The trip took most of the day, much of her time spent trying to entertain her rambunctious boys to keep them from fighting or getting into trouble, entertaining them with games or riddles or singing to them.

When they finally arrived at the Hallows, it was early evening. The sun was still up above the western horizon, though it was fast making its way towards the sea, and would soon be dark. Off in the distance, Ali gazed in awe at the massive castle amongst the expansive plains. It looked like something plucked straight out of a fairytale! Chimera called for Artorias, then gave their children a curt command to behave. Aliana, the ever nurturing mother she was, fixed her boys with a much softer, yet equally pointed motherly look. "Do behave, little ones. We want our new friends to like us," she told them, leaning into the wagon to nuzzle each of their heads in turn while surreptitiously nudging Revenant back into the wagon so he didn't climb out and make a break for it.

"Aliana"

The ride to see their neighbor pack wasn't incredibly interesting, but it was his first time being off of the island so that made it interesting enough for him to at least pay attention while they rode in this cart that they had been loaded into. He kept to one corner of the cart, occasionally giving his brothers glares as they tumbled over one another as he often did. He pushed them off the couple of times one of them tried to pull him into the fray, but for the most part they left him alone. Maybe the were finally taking the hint that he didn't want to partake in their rough housing. Eventually they reached the other pack and that got his sibling's attention so they all focused in on the castle up ahead and on their father's warning to be on their best behavior. He nodded in agreement while a couple of his other siblings voiced theirs and when his mother made it around the cart to him where he was waiting in the back of the cart, leaning into the nuzzle she offered them. He wondered if any of the wolves that lived here had song birds like his mom so he could hear an entirely different kind of song. That would make the whole trip way more exciting if there were.

"Klein Boys"

Cerberus happily accompanied his father for the trip to The Hallows. As many queens as there were, there were even more kids and he had absolutely no problem keeping an eye on them or keeping them entertained along the way. Cerberus loved his siblings, his father, and his queens. Each one of the women were special to him in different ways than his father. They were all like a missing piece of Viper. Not just titled as a mother, but really filled that spot and were each their own unique soul. Cerberus loved his big family.

Having everyone actually together on the trip was an entirely new experience. They had been together on the island and more so had a larger family gathering at the dam but it felt like they weren't all together like this often. Hearing Aliana sing and watching Dalila keep Ruse in check was really making him think of his own mother in a way he had never before. He had always applauded what Viper had done for him if only very little. But seeing the way everyone got along made him realize how much his mother wouldn't and how different life could have been if she was here today. Not that Chimera would have let her keep Cerberus secluded to their den today.

With his thoughts more occupied, he wasn't so in awe at the sight of the castle in the distance as his younger siblings were. But still that proud boy of Chimera. He took his place closer to Chimera's hip as they waited for The Hallows to respond.

"Fenmyre"

Quill was as cool as ever, snickering at his brothers as they looked around at the world in awe like it was the best thing ever. It was all mostly a facade at least. He was just as eager and excited as the rest of them, but he couldn't let them see that. A bunch of trees were easy to keep him uninterested, but when the sight of the castle came to view was when he couldn't really help his big wondrous eyes. It got him on his feet as his paws hopped up on the edge of the cart, bumping Revenant pretty harshly by the shoulder as if there wasn't any room on the cart and he had to squeeze on the edge which was not the case at all. With Chimera's instruction and Aliana's even gentler instruction he turned to settle back down in the cart, "Yeah, sure dad." His voice was met in serious and accepting tones, like there was no way he could be thinking of anything bad or more accurately fun to get in to.

"Klein Boys"

Siren padded along on delicate pale feet next to Dalila. Thankfully her brood was a little older now and she didn’t have to keep quite the eye on them that her love did with Ruse. Of course Siren took on any and all responsibility when it came to Chimera’s children. She was a tiny woman but her little heart was massive for all of her nieces and nephews. Well, one niece almost daughter and many many nephews.

Chimera surprised all of them with a trip off the island. Something Siren did not do. So getting out and seeing the sights was nice, she walked along for as long as she could, but she did take advantage of the cart even more than a couple of the stout boys. She was relaxing there, her dainty paws dangling out the back, when they finally arrived at the Hallows. The woman wasn’t truly aware of how deep Chimera’s protectiveness and didn’t realize how much he tried to shadow other’s eyes from her form.

The King was much more concerned with his children when they arrived and he finished his call for the Hallow’s alpha. She stifled a giggle as he gave each pup a hard stare and told them all to behave.

"Siren Klein"

Kasos was still kind of the odd one out of his brothers. He hadn’t found his place and he hadn’t really settled into his abilities. He was goofy and unrefined, both qualities compounding to get in the way of his father’s pride. That was the one thing he felt himself craving was that look of approval from the massive King. Something hard won for a boy in a sea of Chimera’s sons.

It was easy to gain and keep his mother’s love and pride though. She gave him praise easily and freely while he worked hard for his father’s. Maybe it was supposed to be that way, and it made him easily keep to Aliana’s side. He wasn’t a trouble maker to begin with, but he was easily swayed by his siblings' actions. As long as he stuck by his mother he wouldn’t get into trouble. Right?

Chimera commanded them to behave and instead of replying verbally like his brother’s the somewhat quiet boy nodded his head as his dual toned gaze lifted to his father and they all waited to meet the Hallows alpha.
