Kichi jogged along the canyon, his plan being to hunt back in the grassy area but there was no need for it.  This was no grizzly bear but a full-grown huffing polar bear.  The bear and wolf took a moment to stare at each other before the bear opened its mouth to let out a loud threatening roar.

Kichi glanced behind him where Torch had been following and saw the deer take a step back calmly to put some distance and ready to run if told to.  Kichi swung his gaze back to the polar bear and ran towards it.  The polar bear raised up on its hind legs, giving another roar before trying to drop down right on top of Kichi.

The wolf spun around the bear, biting into a back leg but a second later had to run back a short distance, rump tucked a bit to avoid getting those giant claws ripping into him.  Spinning to face the bear again he ran back towards it.

"Kichi"

After finding Kichi fighting the bear in the north last time she was here, it wasn't nearly as surprising this time around. She supposed he was just in the mood for fighting bears. This time though he was faced off with a polar bear and that made her second guess her choice to jump right into the fray this time. Polar bears were way more aggressive and dangerous than other bears so she wasn't sure why Kichi was so willing to just run in toward it, but she supposed it might be worth the challenge just to test their skills. She sighed and then followed after her pack mate as he dove in for its back leg. She hung back and waited for the bear to turn to face him as he darted out of the way to avoid its claws and as soon as the polar bear was now no longer facing her she rushed out from her hiding spot behind some rocks to land her own attack on its back leg as well. She figured that if they were able to create a weak point it would be easier to take the giant bear down. She hooked her tiger-like claws into the wound Kichi created and cut into it deep, worsening the wound and cutting through tendons. That made the bear stager a bit as blood flowed freely down its leg and it no longer seemed to be able to put its full weight on it. She ran back out of the way again, avoiding any retaliation the bear might throw her way.

"Avacyn Mendacium"

Kichi’s watched in surprise as Avacyn showed up.  Well, well, now the polar bear really was in trouble.  As Avacyn put distance between herself and the bear Kichi ran in, this time straight towards the front of the bar.  It was on all fours now, no longer able to balance as well for a fight on only the hind two.  Still, it was large.  Kichi ran towards the bear’s face, ready to bite it from that direction but no surprise at the lashing paws that had disturbingly large claws and Kichi backed off.  As the bear tried to turn to look at Avacyn the silver wolf ran back towards the white bear’s face.  

Each time the bear thought to turn its attention on the wolf behind it Kichi was there, going so far as to at one point get a bite on one of the swinging paws when he figured out the speed of attack.  Kichi didn’t dare hold on too long though as the polar bear had tried to pull Kichi in, either to bite it or attack him with the other paw, Kichi let go before he had to find out.  Regardless, Kichi was keeping the bear to busy to deal with Avacyn.

While Kichi kept the bear busy, Avacyn focused on dancing around the bear so she could get in as much damage as possible. Any time the bear moved she slid around to stay behind it, landing quick bites and swipes of her claws at its back legs and flanks. She could tell that moving was getting more and more difficult for the bear that was getting more and more angry as the fight went on and at some point she noticed that it was hardly able to put weight at all on one of its legs and couldn't even try to turn to face her any more. It was still extremely dangerous, especially now that it was weakened and cornered and throwing out last ditch efforts to save itself with wild swings of its paws toward both of the wolves. Avacyn backed away from its hind legs and started working her way around to be closer to Kichi at its head, deciding that if he went for a killing blow it would be better for her to be near the head to help.

"Avacyn Mendacium"

Kichi kept up his deadly game with the bear, he was enjoying himself and the twisted sort of joy seemed to show in his expression between the moments of his jaw’s snapping at air or paw or whatever presented itself.  He could smell the blood from the bear and the amount was clearly increasing.  He had an idea of Avacyn moving about back there, generally only seeing a portion of her with the bear between them.

The bear was getting angrier, more reckless but also slowing down.  He spied Avacyn coming around near him and imagined whatever damage she’d done back there was satisfactory.  Kichi leaped inwards for a mock snap of his teeth, already expecting the bear to swipe out, Kichi waited for the paw to be out of the way before this time leaping further in, teeth gouging into the thick white-yellow pelt of the bear's neck, crushing in, feeling a bit of blood.  Kichi let go but only to get a deeper grip on the neck, shaking his head to tear into it, hopefully ripping into an area that would bleed it out.  Kichi was trusting Al’s daughter to keep the bear from killing him in the time it took to spill open the neck.  Trust wasn’t a thing Kichi did easily but he was trying to work better in a team, especially when it was Al’s family.

As she had kind of suspected, with the bear's mobility severely hindered, Kichi went in for that killing blow. As soon as he rushed in and hit at its throat, Avacyn went on the defensive for him to make sure he didn't get sliced up in the process. Sure enough, the bear went to swing a heavy paw Kichi's way and Avacyn immediately leapt forward to keep that from happening. She caught the paw between her jaws and yanked back, stopping it mid swing and biting down hard to crush the appendage while she had it. Because the bear couldn't put much weight on its back legs it couldn't lift its other paw without toppling over so its only defense was quickly immobilized. It didn't take long for it to bleed out anyway since it had already lost a significant amount of blood from the wounds she gave it previously. Soon enough it slowly fell back and then flopped over onto its side, twitching and struggling for a second before falling still. She grinned as she swiped her tongue across her muzzle, giving Kichi a victorious nod while her tail wagged.
