The Warlord hadn’t seen much of his son's children of late. He could hardly surround himself with puppies if the little ones were scattered across the territory. So when he caught the scent of Morgawr, he went looking for his granddaughter.

He found the Princess along the sandy shores of the Armada beach. He slowed his paws as he approached. The girl was still young, and tiny against his approaching form. He grinned, and lowered himself to the ground beside her. “Mor.” He said in greeting, glancing over at the reddish toned wolf. “Got some time to spend with your grandpa?” he let his maw open in a lopsided grin.

Morgawr had no idea what she was doing. In general. She was getting older now and it felt like she ought to be training more and getting her own rank. She did want to do good things and rise above herself like one of her heroes. They wouldn't just sit around thinking all day. They would stand up and work. But work was much easier in her imagination; she didn't want to do it in her real life. Was she destined to always sit on the sidelines, dreaming of determination and heroism she would never possess?

She stood in the sand, watching the horizon as Sirius walked up to her. He asked if she had any time to spend with him, and she nodded in greeting. She hadn't seen much of him. A prickle of annoyance sparked at the approach of a person. But now that she was trying to be better... That had to include being sociable, at least sometimes. Not that she knew anything to say. "How are you?" she tried.

She would nod her agreement, the quiet amber wolf he called granddaughter. She was silent for a moment, and her question seemed oddly disjointed, as though she was at a loss at what to say. “I’m good. Been working on preparations for winter, same as your Da” He said conversationally, filling the silence with his steady words. “And you, Mor, have you been well?” he asked, looking at the icy blue eyes of the pup. “Keeping up on your training?” he continued. Mor had some lessons in fighting, as all of Azure’s children did. He knew Az would have settled for nothing less.

What else had Mor taken an interest in? He believed it was healing. Not a subject he could help a great deal with. He could staunch a battle wound, and keep rot at bay, but that was about the extent of his knowledge.
