Taking some inspiration from her time in the Armada, Sedna made her way down to the Bay and drew out some circles in the sand. Her children were probably a bit young for serious fight training yet, but it was never too early to start with the basics, and if some of the older members joined them, well, the kids would have something to aspire to. If nothing else, maybe they would actually go down for an afternoon nap.
She called for her kids, and anyone else that was up for a refresher and a spar, and began some warm up stretches, knowing children liked to mimic what they saw grown ups doing rather than asking for advise. She could nudge them into the right positions if they were too far out of position.

She wasn’t sure if it was her unusually short legs that usually made her late when her mother called or the extra pudge that she couldn’t seem to shake no matter how she willed her metabolism to catch up to her siblings, but this time, Fuji was the first on scene. She gave her mother a wide grin around her pants, (she had run very fast to get here, this was the lesson she was most excited for).
The small child sighed whistfully for a moment, she doubted she would ever be as graceful as her mother looked, stretching her limbs and moving so smoothly, but the older wolf didn’t seem to be paying particular attention so maybe if she just tried to mimic the movements, eventually she would get there? Tentatively, she bowed down, and felt the muscles in her body pull and then relax… Oh! It actually felt pretty good!
She watched the next move from the corner of her eye and tried to mimic the movement again. This wasn’t so bad!

Beru strolled upon the scene with a wide grin on his face. To him, this lesson just sounded like a free pass to womp on his siblings a bit. Though he was curious as to how it would all work with the current turnout. Fuji was... perhaps the only sibling of his that he indeed did not want to womp on. Too small, especially in comparison to his ever-growing self. Plus, he liked his littlest sister. She had sparkle. He didn't want to womp on momma either though.. Well, more like she would womp on him, really. Where was Potato? The boy would simply love to give that one the ole one two. Oh well, either way it was gonna be fun.
Fuji was mimicking momma, and so Beru thought that he must be supposed to do that too. The boy gave his back a good, long stretch before glancing over to see what the pair would do next.

Giving in to his brief curiosity and not wanting to brush Sedna off entirely - she was highly skilled, after all - he approached and glanced at the children present currently. Fuji was the pink, tiny one, and the other he briefly scanned his mind for when he came up with Burūberu. Fiji and Burūberu. Got it. He gave the children each a nod in greeting, offering his usual, bland "Hello," to Sedna as well before taking a place behind the others. Slipping off his double-bladed sword and setting it off to the side, the flop-eared wolf began to quietly do his own version of her stretches, making sure to bow and stretch his back, as well as extend his powerful hind legs one at a time - they were his biggest asset in a spar, after all.

She was doing... something? Something weird. Potato watched for a moment, head quirking to one side, and then the other. He'd go to settle beside Fuji, waiting for his sister to put herself in a less than balanced position before swatting in her direction. It would be a halfhearted bid to knock her over, before innocently going about mimicking Sedna's movements. That was... weird but okay. Potato could do this, or well, could do this for as long as his attention span held up.
Starting with stretches, Tachi bowed down and stuck out his rump as far as he could manage. Accidentally shoving his rear in Fuji's face in the progress. What else were big brothers for, right? He wasn't really sure how doing this would help him fight better, but whatever, it was fun to be around family and maybe it would get better from here on out.

Sedna tried to ignore the way the boys attempted to gang up on Fuji, she knew a squabble was about to erupt and she wasn't about to intervene, so she waited for the dust to settle before turning back to the gathering before her. She gave Usagi an extra grin. She hadn't expected to have someone she could call on as an assistant, and he evened out the numbers well.
“Fightin' might be a fact o' life but yer could at least be clever about it.” A smirk tugged at the corner of her mouth as she addressed her children. “One way of fightin' won't work fer everyone, if yer big an' heavy, or small an' quick, some basics stay the same. It's important ter keep yer balance,” She set her feet squarely, “protect yer important bits,” she tucked her tail, flattened her ears and dipped her chin to cover her throat, “an' use yer energy wisely. It's easier ter win if yer opponent is tired, but spendin' yer whole time dodging will eat up yer reserves too, so don't try ter out wait someone, or yer'll land yerself in a lot of trouble.”
An apologetic grin was offered to the older wolf, this was all probably very below him, but as most lessons of this type went, she intended to pair the kids off at the end to practice what she had taught them, and she was happy to go one on one with the older boy, if only to stretch her own muscles too.

-Lesson 2/3-
Beru listened to his mother carefully as she spoke. So advantages and disadvantages were different depending on one's build. The boy knew he'd classify as the big and heavy type, while Fuji for example would be small and quick. He was pretty sure that meant that he and Potato would land more devastating blows, while someone like Fuji would be more apt to dodging said blow? Something like that.
The child mimicked the stance momma took, tucking in his tail, flattening his ears, dipping his chin. This made him feel silly, like he looked like some sort of weirdo or something, but momma knows best so he wasn't going to question it. "Potato m' gonna womp on you!" he declared in his weirdo stance, hopping towards the boy awkwardly.
”Speech” ’Thought’
It was a hard line to walk, one that'd take lots of practice. Good thing he had lots of time then, and even more people to push him in the right direction.

Mumma sure did talk a lot, but talking wasn’t fighting.
Sure it all sounded important, but the small girls attention span just wasn’t there for this sort of lesson. Her paws continued to dance impatiently and she barely bit back a sigh as she mimicked her mother’s actions. She wasn’t big or fast. She was short and very round, so where did that leave her? Should she just give up on fighting all together and focus on cooking instead? She did like food…
The girl dove in to take a snap at Tachi’s back leg, since he had so conveniently positioned himself to shove his big butt in her face. Surely mum was going to pair them off for fighting in the next few minutes anyway, why not get a head start?
“Speech”
He approached the galaxy-pelted woman, careful not to step on any of his younger half-siblings on the way. ”Care to spar, perhaps?” He inquired to her, voice monotone but clearly not confrontational. A simple invitation, really. ”Speech” ’Thought’ |

Sedna could quickly see this 'lesson' descending into chaos before her eyes. “Yer should all pair off an' spar, Beru an' Tate,” Fuji had already launched her first attack at Tachi so she supposed that one went without saying. She nodded her agreement to Usagi, it had been too long since she had sparred herself, before stepping in to lift Fuji by the scruff and pull her off Tachi's heel. Depositing the girl and using her paw to pin the child by the tail, she tried to maintain some semblance of control. “Take a minute fer self reflection, an' consider yer opponent before startin' yer spar. What's different between yer? What challenges is that likely ter make fer yer? Winners from each spar will pair up next, an' th' winner from that one can fight whoever wins between me an' Usagi.” She offered the older boy an apologetic grin, but it wasn't like she planned on letting him win anyway.

The girl struggled, pouted, groaned and pulled with all her might as her mother pulled her off her brother. She didn't need time to think, she needed to kick his ass! Her brows were drawn down in a squint that looked suspiciously familiar to her mother and she drew in a deep breath and puffed out her cheeks holding her breath just waiting to be released.
As her head grew lighter, she slowly exhaled and really looked at Tachi. Even now he was all leg to Fuji's squat roundness that she would never quite lose. All she would really have to do is get herself wrapped around his legs, drive her horned head into the underside of his ribs and stab him with the crystals growing out of her neck right? Was it fighting clean? Probably not, but did it matter if it resulted in her winning? Her nostrils flared as her mother lifted her paw. It was time to knock her brother down a peg.
