The short answer was no. This was her heat season, and it would be a long one. Spring had just sprung and she felt the effects of it more than most. Eden panted, walking along the beach as she dealt with annoying phantom ants. She had dealt with it three times before now, and nothing had come out of it. At least Sparrow was here. She didn't think the Pirate King would let Ignis do anything untoward.

Friend. Friend. Friend. Ignis had called her pretty, too pretty to let go. He could have made up the fact they were lovers but hadn't done such a thing. It confused her. Was she just a trophy to him? Was she... just some object to look at when he wanted to? She didn't know why she cared, because she was shit scared of him. What did he plan to do? She didn't know. What did he want to do? Also a no. Eden called softly against the billowing winds.

She longed for some type of company. Now that Sparrow accepted them into the pack, she could march in the claimed territory all she liked. Stomp. Stomp. Stomp. Ignis wouldn't be able to stop her unless he wanted the pirates' suspicion.

Flurry was out and about now which meant she was out and causing trouble! She had discovered that it was easy enough to store little trinkets under the hard black pebbles of the sand, and she was pretty certain she wouldn't forget where they were, but the little girl had run out of treasure to bury pretty quickly, so she'd started looking for treasure of her own, moving further up the beach when she'd spotted the shape moving along the shore, instantly a thought entered her mind. Clearly the shape moving along the beach was not a fellow wolf but instead a monster come to dig up her various little treasures. The girl dropped into a crouch and stalked as stealthily as she could across the ebony shore, which probably wasn't all that stealthy considering she wasn't exactly practiced yet but she tried her best nontheless.

When the girl figured she was close enough that she could make the jump Flurry stopped, wiggling her little rump in the air as she readied herself to leap upon the monster that threatened her stash. "Rhaaa!" The war cry released from her as Flurry launched herself at the unknown female, hoping to slam herself into the woman's side and knock her over, almost assuredly she would not as Flurry was hardly even a fraction of her eventual full size or height yet but hey, couldn't stop a kid from hoping right?

Oh, goodness!

She fully expected it to be someone else, not a tiny little child attacking her! Eden yelped, almost jumping out of her skin as the baby pirate collided with her. She more or less bounced backward, afraid she had hurt the poor thing. If the baby pirate bounced back too, she would feel bad. Eden did not like to indirectly hurt anyone, let alone hurt them on purpose. It seemed the girl was just playing or behaving in a foul way. Either way...

"I submit!" she cried out "you win!" Eden immediately flopped over on the beach, rolling onto her back with her lithe paws dangling in the air "please, do not kill me..." She whined this for good measure, rolling her eyes back against her skull as the woman pretended to play unconsciously. If the girl wanted, she could easily just jump all over the woman. Eden would not fight back. For now, anyway.

Success! By the time Flurry had managed to jump back to her paws, the collision had sent her falling back onto the beach though mostly unharmed, the green marked woman had flopped over onto her side and was flailing her paws dramatically, wailing for her life. Flurry laughed in triumph and leapt on top of her quarry. Her little fangs assumed their offensive position, the tendons pulling taunt to pull them forward from their more relaxed position as she shouted triumphantly: "Never!" Then she pushed her face forward, jaw parted just slightly. She did not bite the woman's exposed throat, clearly still very aware of the play that was happening but her little teeth still met fur and maybe even flesh for the briefest of seconds, before the girl pulled back, a giggling fit taking over her small body and shaking her so hard she rolled off of Eden's prone form and onto the beach below where she continued to shake with laughter for a moment longer.

Though she didn't seem to really regain total control she did finally manage to get her breathing under control enough that she could speak, at least between giggles. "Who're you?" She asked, mismatched eyes wide with curiosity.

The girl cried out triumphantly, proclaiming never! Eden resisted the giggles until the baby pirate was done. The girl flailed and tried to bite, perhaps knowing she shouldn't before falling back in a fit of laughter. Eden just rolled back, her tiny body making sure not to flatten the girl. Her fur was ruffled and had some slobber on it, but otherwise, she was safe. She continued to be safe. A question was posed to her. Something obvious, considering the baby pirate hadn't seen her before.

"Eden" she introduced herself, saying the short name slowly and pronouncing for the girl's sake "I came here with a red man" Eden admitted, wondering if Ignis had the time or patience to play with children "the Pirate King hosted a party, and we joined. Have you met Pirate King Sparrow yet?" or "seen a big old red man walking around?" Did the girl know what a Dire was? She also wondered whose pup this was.

Eden hadn't been privy to much in the Plunder so far.

The green marked woman responded and Flurry made a mental note to keep the name Eden filed away somewhere in her brain. That was important, right? She was a pirate and it would be important to know her pirate crew... Right? In truth Flurry still didn't entirely understand what being a pirate meant, except that they sometimes tried to steal things from other wolves (but not each other, she'd been told that more than a few times) and cause trouble. So that's what she did right now. Mostly caused trouble of course, especially for her dad, mom was less fun to play with so she mostly left the woman to herself if she could help it.

Okay but that wasn't what was important right now! " 'M Flurry." She said, rolling in the hard sand until she was on her back, looking at the woman upside down. When Eden asked about Sparrow her little tail beat happily and she nodded, then she shook her head about the red man. "Sparrow visited us on our first day out of the den!" She said proudly, rolling back onto her stomach and lifting her head with all the pride she could summon, which must have looked rather silly on such a small child. "Never seen the red guy though..." She considered for a moment, tipping her head to the side. "Why?"

"It is very nice to meet you, Flurry."

What a cute name... A flurry of questions and answers all at once. She smiled at the girl. "The red man, Ignis, is who brought me to the Plunder" she explained to the pirate child "he's my friend" Goodness, she hated lying to children but she didn't want to drag them into her mess! "so we traveled before joining the pack." She sits down with Flurry, her tail uselessly behind her and not able to curl.

Ah, Ignis... Not talking with children. She was not surprised. "I wondered if he was being friendly, that's all" Eden continued "he wanted to join Sparrow's pack. They're friends, I think. Do you have many friends here, Flurry?" It might be fun with littermates. She never knew that joy, because she was an only child. Flurry seemed the type to stick to her brothers and sisters, but she didn't know for sure.

Eden spoke about this red man and Flurry tried to pay attention, nodding but getting herself easily distracted when she tried to imagine what a big red wolf would even look like. Eden mentioned she'd hoped that he was being friendly and Flurry shrugged, she hadn't seen him yet so she didn't know. Though Eden's other question gave her pause. Flurry lifted herself to sitting and cocked her head to the side.

"Well I got my brothers and sister I guess... But there aren't many other wolves our age around." She pouted lightly, she liked her siblings, they could be good fun a lot of the time but she wasn't sure if they counted as friends per se.

"That must be very hard" Eden frowned as the girl admitted she had no playmates other than her siblings. She had been in the same boat, but at least Flurry had brothers and sisters to actually be close to "I know it can be because I did not have any pups my own age. I also didn't have brothers or sisters. It was just my parents and myself." And now she had the Plunder, adults to be friendly to, and a skill to build.

She smiled. "At least you have your siblings - even if they might make you mad sometimes" she tittered, envious of the sibling bond Flurry had " and they will" She giggled softly "but I hope you know you can rely on your family as you grow up" She paused as she nodded "they're also friends, in their own way. But family sticks together. Friends drift away sometimes, but you can always have a family."

And!

"I'm not your age but you can consider me a friend - if you like."
