A sharp pain caused her to outwardly gasp.

Her body knew it was time, even though her mind raced logically with the potential of other things. Eden felt herself sit down, belly on fire. "I-Ignis" she called softly out at first before another spasm hit her. She shut her eyes, pinned her ears, and tried to remain calm despite the panic in her tone "Ignis!" she called to the opening of the nursery she had tried to make prior to the birth.

If he appeared, she would look at him. Pain in her eyes, feeling their water but refusing the tears. "T-The pups" she said to him as she lowered herself to the ground slowly "they're coming" gods, it hurt so much already... Maybe she really was a weakling? "c-can you make sure nobody comes in?" The dark man's presence still had nerved her, and she didn't want anyone to interrupt.

The motherwort had been taken religiously prior to the birth and it did ease the contractions. Eden let out another gasp, half pain, and half shock as she felt a burning below her. "Nrk..." And just like that, one pup slipped into the world. She tried to turn fast, nipping the sac and bringing him to her belly. It was similar to Sparrow, except this time she was doing both works. The little boy with gold leaf patterns didn't squeak or squeal.

He was content with his mother's milk, suckling already.

"Talk" Walk He'd been closer to the entrance to the cavern, staring into the tide pools that littered the fringes of the territory, staring at his reflection. His mind was empty, however, even though he tried hard to think about something. Anything. His past. His present. His future. Whatever. But...nothing came. It was only darkness. His mind was silent. Not even his demon whispered to him. Well, since his mind was quiet, he might as well go out and do some work to occupy himself, right? As he stood up to leave, he suddenly heard Eden frantically calling his name. His good ear twitched towards her voice, and not a moment later he lumbered into the cavern to find her looking like she was in pain. "The pups, they're coming," What!? "Already!?" She asked him to make sure that nobody came in, and of course, he nodded. While the birth of Sparrow's pups had been chaotic and a total shit show, he was sure Eden didn't want such a moment to be an event for all the world to see. Before he knew it though, something had slipped out of her to which she quickly turned to clean it up and brought it to her belly. He had never seen someone give birth before, and here he was in the front row watching it happen. He wasn't sure how to feel about it. It was equally gross, as well as fascinating to watch something come to life like that. The pup was similar to Eden in color with gold markings akin to the feathers of a bird. He was curious to know what the rest would look like. "If you need anything, my companions and I can get it for you." He offered. That way she could focus on this and not worry about anything else. His heart pounded in his chest, wondering if any of these kids would inherit the Praetor Demon...and if they did, he wasn't sure what he would do about it...the world didn't need more unpredictable chaos...

She could have rolled her eyes at him but remained patient. "I'm quite sure, yes." Ignis nodded and would make sure anyone wouldn't come to visit them - especially little puppies, she hoped. The last thing they needed to see was her birthing more. After the birth of a son - a son - Eden looked up to see Ignis standing there. She hadn't exactly reacted to his offer to help due to... circumstances.

Pain shot through her eyes and body as another contraction resulted in the birth of another. This time, she felt more pain. Like she was being split open. Eden grit her teeth, refusing a scream. Her eyes shut as a low moan escaped her. The baby that came into the world was bigger than the first, with a blue-black body. He did not cry and she began to panic when she nipped the sac and released him. His body was almost cold and she rubbed it religiously to warm up. At last, he began to whine.

She felt tears in her eyes.

Eden directed him to her belly too, where he began to suckle. Slower than the first son, but eventually he latched on. "I... I need someone here" she told Ignis at last. The pup's almost death rattled her. She began to shake "just to sit with me. Actually." Be it Ignis himself or one of his companions, she did not care.

"Talk" Walk Geez, she was prickly right now, wasn't she? He supposed he couldn't blame her. She was pushing out puppies, after all. He stood guard, keeping an ear out for anyone who might try to approach. Knowing the puppies that ran rampant in the pack, he hoped none of them would come snooping around to bother them. While Sparrow's birth was pretty much a public affair, he preferred this to be private. And he was certain that Eden preferred it that way, too. He motioned for his cockatoo to go to the entrance of the cavern to keep watch and to alert him if anyone decided to try and come in. He kept his attention on Eden, unsure if he should do anything or if his presence was even really welcome. He watched as the second pup came out, his pelt darker than the first, and he was also bigger. He was curious about the possible color combinations that would come out of her...after all, red and green? Not to mention the array of colors that came from the Praetor line, and he imagined her side had an assortment of colors as well. He could feel the alarm in the air as the second pup didn't immediately wail like the first. And Eden had set to rubbing the pup vigorously. He took a step forward, ready to take over, but before he could say or do anything, the pup had finally made a sound. He let go of the breath he didn't know he'd been holding, heart hammering in his chest harder now before Eden spoke up again. She wanted someone to sit with her, and for a moment, he almost debated making the wolverine do that, but decided against it. It wouldn't hurt him to try to be involved in a...sort of good way, right? Even though they weren't in a relationship or...whatever. Honestly, he wasn't sure. Was he protective of her? Yes. But he chalked it down to the fact of the matter that he had claimed her as his for no reason other than his other side wanted to just because he could. Probably. He was still trying to figure that out. So at her request, he moved quietly behind her, settling down against her body to try and offer the comfort she so desperately wished for. He looked down at the two pups that had come out, wondering how many more would come into the world.

She didn't expect him to do anything. Honestly, she couldn't keep the surprise from her face as he lowered himself next to her, curling around her smaller form. Trying to recover from such a shock, she leaned into him and bumped her nose against his neck. She sought a cheek but was too small to really reach. Nobody should expect her to anyway... She was in a lot of pain after the second child, emotionally and physically. Eden gasped again, arching her body against Ignis' stomach as another child came out. She'd shut her eyes briefly against the pain but nipped the sac again, revealing a red-taupe child. A blend of them.

Once again, she directed the child - a little girl - to her stomach. But before she could rest, another contraction and another one slipped out. She seemed to know this was the last pup and relaxed a bit. Sweating and weary, she nipped the last sac and placed the boy next to his sister. There was no more pain, thank goodness. "Three s-sons" Eden forced herself to speak "one daughter." She lowered her head to rest on her paws, drifting off to sleep in exhaustion. She didn't want to, but now that their pups were suckling healthily with their father to watch them... She felt herself finally get some sleep. Taking care of herself and the pack was weary work at times.
