She followed quietly behind her mother as they moved across the land. Her fiery eyes looked upon her mother trying to read what she was thinking. She had been told that they were headed to a public market. Her mother carried one set of bags and she carried the other. Plants and trinkets filled the bags and they were headed to buy and barter for things at the market. Neither of them had been to a market before, but it was something worth checking out. Once they arrived they stopped and looked around before her mother gave her a nod and headed to the left side of the market. She looked down to her companion before heading to the right side of the market.
She took her time, moving slow and eyes roving over the things in the various stands. Part of her was a little put off on how to buys things so she made sure she watched other customers. Bartering and comparing items. She wasn’t even sure the worth of the items she had in her bags, but it seemed like it wasn’t a good idea to let others know that. There was a truck to bartering and she was going to learn it. Besides she wanted to feel accomplished in her trading today and have something to show off to her mother on the way home.

Kite and her siblings had been banned from the market for their first week of freedom from their birth-den. But the moment those doors were open to them, Kite had slipped through the doors with wide, curious eyes. She knew she was being watched. She could almost feel the eyes of the market security, and one of her fathers companions trailing her as she looked at the stalls. There were weapons, armour, and companions as well as trinkets and odds and ends for sale.
With her kitten companion on her back, she moved deeper through the market cave, eyes catching on something bright and shiny as the wind caught and moved it. So entranced, she didn’t see the other wolf. Not until she was already colliding with them. Her strange crystal-covered eyes widening in surprise at the suddenness of it. Her long, clumsy limbs tangled up in there. Her kitten let out a yowl of complaint “Sorry, sorry!” Kite said before she fully saw the other wolf. Another pup, like her, but one that wasn’t family!

She was amazed by everything here and part of it made her feel like she was at home. She remembered running with her siblings through the pack and many of the densities had similar set ups like this. Like one would have herbs, one would have trinkets, one would have things to wear, nick nacks , and ect. In fact things were so similar that she swore she could feel the icy cold northern wind rustle through her fur.
But soon her trance of memory was ripped away like paper as another collided into her catching her totally off guard. Fiery eyes looked to the direction, her face washed of emotion for a moment until her eyes landed on who had run into her. It was a young wolf like herself and she immediately apologized.
”It’s okay I wasn’t paying much attention in the first place,” she said.
Viktor put his paws against her side as he adjusted the saddlebag full of things to trade so they wouldn’t fall off, then the wolverine relaxed behind her.
”Have you been to this market before,” she asked.

As she pulled herself back to her paws, Kite’s eye covering fell down, temporarily blinding her. She raised a paw, shoving it back up to her ears as she looked at the strange with fascinated intensity. Another wolf her age~ Well, she was clearly older, but that only made her more fascinating.
‘Have I…” she started to say, before her brain caught up with her and she shook her head, realising what the other wolf was asking her. “Oh! This is my home, this is the Ar-mah-dah” She said, pronouncing the slightly difficult word carefully. “My… home” she’d already said that, she was repeating herself. She grinned a little uncertainty at the other wolf. “I’m Kite”
