Pirates surged towards them and somehow Malachai failed to see the red man until he'd slammed his chest into Malachai's hips, it offset his balance and Malachai stumbled, letting the momentum swing his rump out of the range of the man's jaws and his toes out of smacking range. Malachai would attempt to harness that movement to spin on his forepaws so he could face the red man. He was of a height with Malachai and despite himself, Malachai couldn't help the grin that tugged at his lips, he could hear his blood pumping in his head and the man's instincts were taking over. Malachai flashed out a forepaw attempting to scratch his sharpened claw covers down the red man's chest, a regular wolf's claws wouldn't do much doubt but his covers were something nastier. At the same time his head would dive down, jaws parting as he sought to grab one the left forepaw of his opponent, hoping to just grab on and pull, tear, rend. His heart was hammering in his chest and the world around him was melting away, the only things in the world were him and the red man. Azure gave only a growl in reply as she pointed out the fucking ear sewn to her skull. One loss out of many, it was a number he could live with but of course Sparrow had to bring it up. The gold and blue pirate had gotten the better of him yes, but it hadn't stopped him from plowing through the rest of them and leaving three times the scars in his wake. And then the bitch began to flirt, and memories of the kiss she'd planted on him so long ago stirred to the surface. More reason to hate her, her pack, and everyone who shared her blood. If she ever took even one thing seriously, Azure was sure he'd have a heart attack and die right there.. but not even the prospect of losing body parts was enough to make the pirate king lose her carefree nature.

Her jaw snaked out to the side of his stomach, her rear legs kicking out toward his own. At his vantage he saw the kick before he felt it, lifting his paw to allow hers to pass under the leg harmlessly, but because of it unable to dodge the bite. A trade he would take, as keeping his balance was undoubtedly more important. As her teeth punctured flesh he curved his own neck, bringing his jaw over to her head in an attempt to close his teeth upon the stolen eartip. He did not care how many body parts he lost in battle, but nothing would convince him to allow his enemies to lord them over him sewn to their own bodies.

He hit his target head-on with his chest, though his teeth and paw failed to find purchase. Fine. He would simply have to compensate for that minor setback. His opponent would manage to spin around to face him, using the momentum from Ignis' attack to spin him around so the pair were facing each other. Jaws came for Ignis' left forepaw, but despite his size and weight, Ignis was too accustomed to the vicious fighting he often found himself in (even though he didn't win all his battles rip) and had learned many things during his course on earth.

As Malachai's head dove for his left forepaw, Ignis threw himself up and forward, seeking to grapple his opponent and rendering the other male's attack with his claw covers only half effective as they scored shallow scratches down his chest. His forelegs sought to wrap around Malachai's neck and pull him forward, his own head lunging forward and down as he aimed to grab the top of Malachai's muzzle with his teeth in a grip and twist motion that could very well disfigure his opponent's face [counter to attack on Ignis' forepaw].

As he kept his opponent occupied from the front, his wolverine would come in from the back and went for the Armadan bastard's tail, seeking to do to it what Ignis had tried to do moments ago. The wolverine's jaws sought to close around the middle of the tail, and if successful, would viciously shake and break it until he tore it away.

Pyralis' lower fangs slit Gossamer's flesh but not in the location she'd intended. Still, she savored the blood and the rush of battle, exhaling sharply as she and Gossamer collided. Out of the corner of her eyes she saw Gossamer's head go for her paw and Pyralis snarled and lashed out, seeking to counter the attack by raking her claws into Gossamer's left eye. At the same time her head lunged down, jaw agape, as she attempted to latch onto one of Gossamer's ears. She sought to rotate her head so that the right side of her face was flush against Gossamer's skull. Pinned or not she hoped to get close enough so that when her jaws snapped together she could shred the delicate appendage.

Levi gritted his teeth as he felt a set of jaws clamp down onto the scruff of his neck. Not exactly a problem considering how spiky that part of him was, but uncomfortable all the same. Instead of trying to squirm free, Levi whipped his head back, aiming to slam his neck spines into the man's chin, aka the underside of his jaw. They were pointy enough that blood would be shed and damage would be done, if the Pirate didn't have the mind or skill to move out of the way in time.

If one ram wouldn't get him to let go then he was more than willing to throw his head back as many times as it took, make as much of a mess of his face as he could in the process.

It felt like she had just been speaking with her father yesterday about the dangers of the Pirate King, although logically she knew some time had passed - but scarcely a few weeks. Makara felt the blood rush to every extremity as she put herself into motion, answering Azure's call to arms. She let his words roll through just like her adrenaline until her entire body was buzzing. These wolves are dangerous, their crimes against us and ours are vast. First, as he had previously instructed, she had been helping with the youngest additions to the pack - she wasted no time in ushering them into safety alongside their healers, not afraid to nip at their heels if anyone lagged. Finally it felt like she had a purpose. Then Makara tightened her boots, made sure her googles were secure, and spun on her heels and raced back to where the fighting had broken out. Her heart beat like a trapped bird. No, no, no, not a bird! Something wild and fierce! A cougar! But a cat stalked with precision and grace, and this felt nothing like that.

She gave up on metaphors once she hit the thick of the fighting. There wasn't time for anything but action - not even any time for words. Makara barely spotted her father in the mess of it all, just in time to release a strangled noise of shock as she watched the wolf known as King excise the end of his tail from his body. But he told he had told her under no circumstances to approach. She blinked rapidly, assessing the remaining opponent options - Aris had broken free from her own opponent, leaving him available. He was old and grizzled, would that make it easier? Mak wasn't sure, but she circled around him quickly until her body was on his right side, her head parallel with his right rear haunch. Just a second of hesitation and she snaked her head in, jaws agape, to dig her teeth in to the right side of his butt like she'd tear into a deer for dinner.

The trade had been poorly thought out and in lifting his paws to dodge the kick, Az had set his balance off enough for Sparrow's bite to the midsection to push him. By the time he'd set back down his paws and found his balance once more, a stinging, terrible pain was shooting through his tail and into his hips. His tail pulled away hard at the pain, though oddly enough feeling.. lighter, somehow. Azure's head spun to judge the damage, a wave of nausea hitting him hard as he noticed the tip had come away. The Warlord gave his opponent an incredulous look, eyes growing fogged with the pain and shock.

"You fucking cunt!" Az roared, the pain bringing out a new wave of heated anger to him. Around him more fights broke out - and already he saw his father beginning an approach - and Azure knew he'd been beaten. Stay, and he risked Sparrow attempting his capture for yet another time. "I wish I had taken your bitch." He seethed, agony in his tone. "Next time I won't be so kind." With full faith his father could handle the remainder of the battle, Azure made for a quick departure. The last thing he needed was to do something stupid like pass out here on the battlefield before making it to the healers.

Malachai's focus was solely on trying to grab and tear the red man's toes that he hardly felt the weight dropping down on him but he did notice the blur of red shooting towards his face... Too late and he grunted in pain as fangs dug into his muzzle and Malachai snapped it shut. Instinct driving him to move before he was even aware of the pounding of paws behind him. Malachai tucked his tail between his legs which he flexed, feeling fangs scratching at his tail as it moved, fur torn from it but he avoided whatever it was that was behind him. Instead, he was focused on what was in front of him. Malachai twisted his head attempting to shove his muzzle more properly into his opponent's mouth understanding that he'd take some nasty scratches on his muzzle, at the same time he shoved his strength into lifting himself onto his hindlegs, rearing up and if he did it correctly forcing his muzzle deeper into the red man's mouth, hoping to gag his opponent, which would hopefully earn him a more total release, and unbalance him with his movement. Sirius had been treating the raid like a good spot of fun. The pups were safe and well protected, and he got a chance to stretch his legs and chew on some pirates. Win win, until his son lost the battle with the pirate queen. He moved through the woods, approaching his son to ensure Sparrow didn’t take advantage of her win, and Azure saw his movements and took his exit. He brushed past his son on the way to Sparrow. A wordless acknowledgment of the boy before stopping in front of the wolf that had heckled his pack for far too long. “You have something that belongs to me” He said, the words rolling lightly off the old titans tongue as he finished his approach. Leaving just enough space between them for him to charge, which he proceeded to do. Leaping towards her as he aimed to slam his shoulder into the nap of her neck and turn his head in an attempt to grab at the ear holding Azure’s ear tip. His smallish opponent had broken away from him, and that fight hadn't lasted terribly long. Aw. shame. (Though honestly, he was glad it didn't last that long cuz he wasn't looking forward to really having to put effort into this whole thing). But alas, it seemed he would have to when one of his hawks screeched a warning from above, and the old-ish galactic Saxe feigned ignorance as he looked the other way, and he waited for his new opponent to get closer. Just a bit. Before suddenly turning around and launching himself forward. His or miss, he hoped it would throw her off guard even if just for a fraction of a second as he sought to bowl her over, her teeth catching the bony part of his shoulder but failing to grab a hold. Minor cuts there, no biggie. At the same time, he aimed his jaws for her face, sabers ready to tear through skin.

Call him ballsy, reckless, stupid, whatever word would come to mind, Gil didn't really care. Was it foolish to go after the largest wolf anyone had ever fucking seen? Probably, but he was going to go for it anyway. Feeling rather successful as he wrapped his front legs around Basilisk's neck, he could feel his hind paws slipping on the pine needle floor of the forest. Okay, maybe it had been dumb of him to do this. Maybe he should have gone after a smaller opponent first, but there was no turning back now.

The pressure of Basilisk pushing against him, nearly toppling him from his reared stance, Gil clung on for dear life. As he reached for Basilisk's ear himself, pulling himself up toward the top of his rival's head, he felt his paws lift from the ground. Hanging in mid-air for a millisecond, Gil kicked his hind paws up and attempted to strike Basilisk's chest or leg area with the spikes on his bracers.

She almost had his haunches in her teeth when he turned on her. Makara snapped at him and felt her teeth just catch his shoulder, no real purchase made. The young girl let out a snarl of frustration. Out of the corner of her eye she caught her father, missing part of his tail, heading in the direction of the healers. Great, perfect, he's not even watching... but, but I'm not doing this for him to watch! I'm doing this to protect my family! She was fighting alongside Levi, after all, though she'd lost sight of her slight brother almost immediately. But there were more pressing things to focus on - like Ares' jaws, right in her goddamn face. Instead of backing away, Makara grunted and tucked her head further down against her chest, forcing her spiked goggles right up into his face and between his jaws, slamming her head from side to side if he happened to get a hold of her face. His teeth danced close, threatening to scar her own face if she wasn't careful, but if it worked he'd get a mouth and face full of spikes, ending with scarring of his own.

Sparrow felt Azure roll away and the tail popped of nicely in her maw. She wanted to rub it in his face that she won, oh she wanted to so bad, but he rolled back away all ashamed and spitting venom that meant nothing other than a promised fight at a later time- to her it was the promise of a date and she already couldn’t wait to clash fangs with him next.

Then in her way was Sirius. She actually hadn’t had much of a brush in with him, but she did hear what he had said. ”Good thing you specified non-Azure wolf for that raise, otherwise that would have been extra embarrassing.” He probably wouldn’t laugh, but Sparrow loved the idea that the one wolf he had bling faith in was the one who failed the hardest and lost his tail.

The man said she had something that belonged to him, and Sparrow tossed Friar the tail tip for him to loop into his belt. “Something of yours? Is it your love and adoration?” she asked faux innocently. He charged her and Sparrow sought to lean out of the way. There wasn’t quite enough room, so he slammed into her chest, glancing down her shoulder as he ripped at the ear she wore better than its original owner ever had. His force knocked breath into her just enough to earn a cough. ”Easy, Daddy, let’s get some foreplay in first,” she choked out with more effort than she tried to play off. Sparrow tried to press forward, aiming to slide down his side and bite at his own tail. Maybe she could take son and father tail BOGO style for some earrings.

Gossamer's fangs missed their target as Pyralis moved her paw and struck out at Gossy's face. Gossamer immediately flinched and twisted her head to the side. The paw struck her cheek but the dull claws failed to do any significant damage and thankfully due to her shifting her head Pyralis' fangs missed her ear and instead cut into the back of her head where they gained a hold. Shit. Gossamer did not debate long on the potential damage of striking out with her fangs. A little damage was worth it if she could get hold of the pirate's throat. She spread her hind legs to keep her balance and moved to try and wrap her arms around Pyr's torso, just under the pirates armpits. At the same time she lunged for Pyralis' throat. She hoped to get a hold while at the same time rotating her upper body to throw the older woman to the ground.

The tenacity of his opponent surprised him. Finding himself respecting this stranger, if just a little as they let Basilisk pull him upwards. The dire grunted with the effort. Despite Bas’s size, Gilgamesh was no small wolf. He could feel his own paws trembling with the effort, and through it all Gil held on.

Letting out an irritated snarl, he twisted his head in an attempt to get a better angle, trying to grab the wolf's ear-tip still. As he did so, he shoved his weight suddenly forward. Hoping to slam the other wolf into the ground. Hoping that in doing so he would jar the other wolf loose and knock them senseless.

“He’s had a rough week” Sirius said dryly, but there was a hint of amusement in his expression. He was proud of Azure, but that didn’t mean he wasn’t going to look forward to his fight. He hadn’t yet had much of a chance to dance with the pirate that had been harrowing them for so long. Azure’s... arch nemesis. As it would seem. He did however take a moment to pause, and raise an eyebrow at the dappled wolf “Didn’t I hand a drunk Uncle off to you at my borders when you were… yee big?” He asked. Perhaps that would explain some of her nature now. If she had an uncle like that lunatic in her family. As they spoke, she tossed the part of Azure’s tail that she had won to her companion. “Are you planning on sowing on a second tail tip? I’m not sure it’ll look as good as you think” He added, voice still dry. When the battle began in earnest and he slammed into her chest, she still proved to be talkative. Her voice was a little raspy as she spoke through a cough. “Easy there tiger, I like my girls with more salt and pepper in their fur” He said, not as easily put off by flirting as his son was. As she pressed forward he attempted to slam a paw into her other shoulder, trying to wrestle her to the ground so he could have a better shot at getting the ear piece off clean. Welp, this was certainly going to be an interesting fight. He was all for interesting, but not when it meant he was about to get all fucked up. Still, it was a little late for that now wasn't it? Her teeth didn't remain on his shoulder, but he supposed she didn't have much time to react while his teeth were gunning for her face. Unfortunately for him, he didn't take into account those weird spiked goggles on her face. What was up with those, anyway? The Armadan girl thrashed her head and tucked her chin further, and there wasn't much he could do without harming himself and getting a mouthful of spikes. Last second, he dipped his head slightly to the side to try and avoid the majority of the spikes and using his long canines to catch on her goggles so he could flip them off her face and make it difficult for her to see. Simultaneously, the Saxe male would thrust his weight forward, rising partly onto his hind legs as he threw his forelegs around her neck in an attempt to lessen her thrashing but, well, things were probably already fucked at this point.

She wouldn’t even bring up the pup punting yet. In honesty, she was looking forward to this in a way that held little to no anger. She was excited- she hoped it didn’t quell her skill, though.

He asked about the time her and Jupiter had been at their old borders and Sparrow pawed at the ground, looking bashful, “Awe, I made a big impression even back then?” she said, “I’m flattered you remember. Okay, you probably mostly remember Uncle Jup, but I like to think you would be impressed by my efforts.” She hadn’t thought back to that time in a while. Thinking on it, maybe she did start this whole rivalry… Wait no, that was definitely still Hanako’s fault. Fuck you, Hanako.

He also asked about the tail tip and if she wanted to sew it on. Sparrow snorted, “You don’t like the idea of my infinite raccoon tail of losers?” she feigned hurt in a way that was way too obvious of a joke. “Well, if I have yours, I can make a nice pair of matching earrings, if you would be so kind.”

As they fought, her quip didn’t go unanswered, with the man saying he liked older women in a way Azure never would admit. Sparrow rumbled against the man, and not entirely out of pain, “Give me a few years,” she mumbled, feeling like she might have chosen the wrong family member to waste her efforts on this whole time. Maybe the real gem was Sirius all along, who knew?

As she moved forward, the man pushed onto her other shoulder, impeding her very well thought out and seductive slide over his side. As she pressed into this wall of a man, she snarked, “What, we dancing now?” She decided to duck her head and try to worm under the tall man- a task given how large she was. Maybe she could topple him, and snag that tail tip she so craved. ”Stop being so cute, you’re making me get a crush.”
