She was gone. Gone forever. This was the last time he was ever going to see her. His icy eyes were still riveted to the spot in the trees where her silver form had disappeared to. She was probably half way to Glaciem already. Had she been able to erase the evidence of their encounter well enough that no one would be of the wiser? He prayed that she did. He didn't want her to get in trouble because of his stupid actions. He didn't care if Isardis sent someone after him, or even came to take his head himself, he would fight them all because Argent was worth it. She was worth so much more than the Ice King was giving her credit for. She was a true queen and deserved to be treated like one, not like a disposable weapon.

Powerful haunches folded beneath the King as he slowly sat himself down, trying to wrap his mind around everything that had just happened. Argent would never be his; he understood that. But that didn't mean that it would hurt any less. A quiet sigh left the titan's lips, gaze directed towards the pink and orange horizon. Argent's scent swirled around him, tickling his senses, the organ in his chest beating painfully against his ribcage. Why she couldn't realize how much she was worth? Just because he had saved her life didn't mean anything anymore. She fought for him in the challenge with Valhalla and gotten the russet King as their prisoner, while pregnant. Taurig would never be able to understand why she chose him instead. Skull would be dropped, lids falling closed over icy gems, audits flattening against his skull. He shouldn't have done what he did but it was much too late to take it back. Now, he just had to wait for the repercussions he knew were to come.

When the world fell to bits. When everything that ever was is no more. it seemed those that walked similar paths always found one another. The question was, did fate tie their paths to help ease the pain or was there a far greater purpose? Keeping busy helped the mind become distracted. The sorrow that loomed in waves of dark foreboding clouds were kept at bay while trials and tribulations were endured but it always lingered. It was always hungry for a reaction. Always waiting for one moment where nothing could distract the mind or the heart from facing the pain and enduring it.

Today seemed to be that day for her king. They had barley had a chance to speak to on another. She had doubts and things that needed to be discussed but she couldn?t help the feeling of pain that seemed to slice threw the air around him. Her ears fell back in response as she slowly approached him. Her head low and even to her body and her own mind was fading in and out on what to do with everything. Zara, Kaios, Champion, Amenti, and here. It all ran circles around her head. Now with the possibility of Tortuga supporting Jupitors pack in an alliance, she couldn?t support such a choice. That bitch had taken everything from her and she would never assist her or her pack in any political disputes.

?Hello.? She said simply, she knew he was learning her voice. The way she carried herself. It was hard to release the feeling of power from her body but she had never demanded respect or dominance from anyone she ruled. They had always all been equal to her, no matter the rank or skills or gender. She had taken them all under as her wolves to care for and protect. ?We have many things to discuss.? She said apprehensively. She didn?t want to further upset her new king. She could see the lines of pain in his eyes. The feel of loss. It was all in his body and she knew it all to well. ?However, before we discuss such matters. If you need..? she thought for a moment. She was unsure if she was stepping over the line but she wanted to comfort him. ?If you need to discuss what ever is causing you pain. I am here.? She said finally. She was his beta and that meant she was his friend as well. She wanted him to be able to confide in her, all the good and bad, and truly be by his side to help him threw it all.

It hurt. Love hurt. Or at least, the love that he felt towards the silver duchess hurt. She was bad for him on so many levels, for so many different reasons, but none of that mattered to the cobalt King. For some stupid unknown reason, he loved this woman. He loved her (or at least that's what he kept telling himself) with every fiber of his being, but the feeling wasn't returned. She loved him, but it wasn't with nearly the same intensity that he loved her. He'd gotten his moment with her, got to tell her just exactly how he felt about her, so that was it. That's where everything should end. He needed to stop thinking about her, stop loving her, stop wishing that she were at his side and move on with his life. He couldn't stay stuck on her when he knew for a fact that it wasn't going to get him anywhere. Argent herself had told him to move on and find a nice girl for himself...But could he do that?

A shudder rocked the titan's frame, his throat constricting with the treat of tears. The cobalt monarch fought the water works, working through the closing of his throat and the tightening in his chest, jaws unhinging as he forced himself to breathe, refusing to let his emotions get the better of him. He had to be strong; he was king now after all. A rustling from near him caught his attention, icy gems flashing up suddenly to land on the figure of his Duchessa Newt. She would greet him with a simple hello, gaining a quiet nod of acknowledgement from the cobalt King, tattered ears rotating forward with attention as she mentioned that they had some things to discuss. Discuss? It sounded like Newt had some things on her mind. He wasn't exactly in the right state to talk about political or pack things, but the pack came first now. Forcing his emotions down, Taurig tried to compose himself, but it was all for nothing. The giantess had seen the emotions written across his dark features and she was willing to listen if he wanted to talk. But should he?

A quiet sigh slipped past the man's lips as he adjusted himself to face Newt, ears flattening against his skull once more as the mask of composure fell away to reveal the pain beneath it once again. I feel like I've committed the worst mistake of my life... He trailed off, his gaze returning to the spot where Argent had disappeared. Had it been a mistake?
