Incubus slowed his pace as a flood of scents hit his nose. It was undeniable this was a frequented territory. He heard rumors of The Battlefield but never really had the desire to entertain such a place. Until this day it seems. Pink and blue eyes scanned as the male sauntered through the plains. Every now and again he passed a tuft of fur and maybe even blood stained rocks. A small shiver of excitement slithered through him. Perhaps he had been missing out? Incubus had fought before but it always ended up being a swift snapping of fangs and a few curses before it dispersed into nothing. But, he was aware if he was going to make anything of himself he needed to learn how to fight. As well as working out to gain enough muscle to back up any gained skills. The inky male moved his way towards a seemingly common fighting circle. Strides slowed to a stop as he was close to the center. That is when his head shot upward and a simple call escaped his lips. This call invited anyone in the area for a spar. As Incubus waited his expression was neutral yet his heart did speed up a bit in anticipation. He idly kneaded the earth below with his front paws and his tail flicked gently. Speech

Ajax was getting bigger, lankier, growing into his soon-to-be dire size. All leg and wiry muscle from hours of swimming about in the sea. He liked fighting a lot too, saw it as one big game where he could chew and nibble to his content. Didn't really understand the scope of it, even here with blood pools all around. Finding an opponent wasn't hard at all, in fact a big dude was already waiting, it seemed. "Hi! Wanna fight?" He asked with a flick of his tail, the blade end poking out slightly. It still hurt, but the growing pains weren't as bad as they used to be. In typical puppy fashion he launched into action before his sparring partner could really respond. Grinning all the while, he rushed forward and attempted to skirt around the back of the stranger to give his rump a poke with the tip of his horns. It didn't take long for someone to respond to his call. A pup with a fleet of animals and an adornment of scarves and horns was to be his opponent. Pink and blue eyes swept over the being with palpable judgment. He was shameless in doing so, the creature was a pup they probably wouldn't even care. Incubus was skeptical but not over confident in this situation. The youngling was big for his age and littered with small pokey things. It very well could be a challenging little spar. Thus, Incubus didn't plan on holding back any more then he would a normal spar. - Inc did find it odd that out of the very few Wolves he had encountered upon coming back to Boreas two of them were of a vibrant coloration and horned. He wondered what genes these creatures had and where he could get some. Incubus was not self conscious in the slightest but he did feel like his lack of colorfulness had him sticking out like a sore thumb. But, was that really a bad thing? The small tangent of thoughts were swept away as his attention turned to the crimson pup charging at him. Incubus quickly got into his defensive stance as Ajax aimed those weird horns at his rear. Incubus was a moment to late to react as he felt a sharp pain in the region. In reaction Inc attempted to pivot towards the boy's behind and do exactly the same with his horns. His head was pointed down at a severe angle so the pointed end of his horns had a chance at causing some pain. They weren't as pointy as the boys but they could inflict a nasty bruise if they didn't end up opening the skin with that bed of fur in the way. This being said Incubus was beyond above average in the height department and decently built so even the force of the impact could make the youngling stumble as well. The blue of Ajax's eyes snapped wide as his opponent whipped around to give him a horn jab in turn. He was fast on his paws but for one reason or another hadn't considered the black wolf would try and give him a poke too. He winced a little as he felt them ram into his shoulder, hard enough to bruise for sure and sent the pup stumbling, footing lost. To his credit though, he didn't fall ass over tit, his gait was spread enough that he was able to recover in a few steps or so. Enough to put some space between them and give the little pirate a moment or so to think about his next move. Not that he thought a lot when he fought, he was an act first think later sort of kid, always would be. Instead, he went for a nip, aiming to grab a hold and tug at his big dark ear. The pirates thus far hadn't offered any formal training, just the air of wallop them hard enough till they give in. And an ear tug could hurt bad enough to submit, Ajax would know since he'd been on the receiving end before! Incubus was successful in connecting horn to shoulder. The crimson boy seemed to stumble back from the assault which gave the both of them a moment to gather themselves for the next flurry of action. He reset his defensive stance in those moments. His head was lowered, eyes slanted, lips curled, and weight evenly distributed. The pup was first to move. The short distance between them closed with the stranger going in for a nip at Inc’s ear. The older male flinched as those pointy little tooths tugged at the flimsy appendage. In retaliation Incubus dug his paws into the earth and shifted his weight entirely forward, at the boy. It was an attempt at the staple chest slam just without a running start. But, just after this motion Incubus would also very quickly raise his front right paw and attempt to hook the boys front left ankle and pull it towards Inc. The whole range of moments, if successful, could result in the boy getting knocked off balance and be left with some bruising at most.
