The festival had been super entertaining so far. A feast, tons of other wolves and familiars, crazy weird statues that were breaking legs, giving firefly UTI's, and dropping black cats' feet among other things! Things had been crazy for the last few weeks, and now she heard, some strange things happening that involved ghosts! She headed straight for where the bulk of the festival was happening before it ended, and she did not want to miss any of it! The very round skeleton-marked woman wandered around the Steppe as she tried to figure out how she might get in contact with any of these ghosts, but she had no idea how to go about doing that. It wasn't until she came across a puddle of water and saw her reflection that an idea popped into her head, and she giggled with glee as she plopped her currently fat butt on the ground. "Maybe I can summon my dad here!" It was worth a shot, right? She did still see him in her dreams after all, though it had been less frequent as of late. Was it because of this strange festival that she wasn't seeing him as often? Probably.

She took a deep breath and then stared into the water. Hard. Her eyes went wide as she tried to...she wasn't sure. Will him to appear? Her paws started to tippy tap on the ground, and she grunted and groaned as she tried to concentrate really hard in getting him to appear. But no luck. Frowning, she looked up at the sky and wondered if these ghost things were even real. But then when she returned her gaze to the puddle of water, she tilted her head as she looked at herself and wondered. "Will Medusa ever be good enough?" She asked out loud to no one in particular.

Then to her surprise, a familiar from the festival popped up and sat on the other side of the puddle, studying her before touching the water. The surface of the puddle rippled, and then suddenly it turned...purple? What? Water did that? "Medusa has always been good enough." Her ear twitched as she listened to those words. She had been...good enough? Really? "Medusa will do good things. Bad things. Everything in between. Medusa has a good heart, but there cannot be light without darkness. Your future is both bright and bleak, strange one."

Medusa? Strange? Yeah alright, she'd let the familiar have that one. She wasn't sure what exactly the familiar meant by that, but it sounded like both a good thing and a bad thing. "Will Medusa get revenge on Habari for all the terrible mean things they did?" For that, the familiar remained quiet as they touched the water. Medusa looked into the reflection again as it rippled and warped, and strangely, she could see blurred shadows and shapes but couldn't tell who was who or what was what. She swore she saw fire reflected in it for a moment or two, though she maybe heard screaming somewhere, but assumed maybe it was someone else getting their legs broken somewhere in the distance. The fire though, maybe that was Habari drowning by their own volcano. Or maybe she finally set Recluse on fire with sheer willpower. Or maybe that was the future her burning down their precious little nook.

Whatever the case, Medusa was pleased by the vague and blurred images flashing before her eyes,  and it was enough to satisfy her simple little mind. "Is that Medusa's future? Does she burn down Habari? Does Recluse burn to a crisp under the sun? Does she get scabby and ugly?" The familiar shrugged, then Medusa shrugged. "Medusa will make her own path and future! She doesn't know what, when, where, or how, but she will!" Indeed, she had no idea what she was gonna do and never really had a plan per say, she was a go-with-the-flow kind and often just...did things on impulse 99% of the time, but hey, that's what made life interesting and fun! Even the messy bits that she hated!

But first, she needed to lose the weight she had been gaining over the season, but...she wanted to look a little more into the puddle, first. Was her dad hiding in there? Or would she see him in her dreams? She could still see bits and pieces of...blurred shadows flickering across the surface of the puddle, but nothing she could really make out. Did that mean things weren't set in stone? Or was it literally going with the flow? Not that the puddle could flow anywhere, but ya know, metaphorically speaking and whatnot...

When she was done watching the images flicker across the puddle and they finally faded out, she looked to the familiar and grinned and giggled. "Medusa thanks you!" For what, she had no idea. But she felt the creature deserved thanks anyway!

"Medusa"

As her mate and *ahem* protective detail, Erebos may crash her threads at anytime!

Please note: Medusa is a wildcard! While she is mostly kind, friendly, and eager to help, she can equally be cold, aggressive, and eager to murder you depending on how you treat her! She refers to herself and often, others, in the third person (illeism), and occasionally has tics due to her Tourette's and may giggle and laugh at random, and may twitch here and there. She is a blood & gore type of character, and is not above killing, maiming, or other such violent actions if she's given a reason to do so. It's often in your best interest to not cross her or get on her bad side. Ya never know what she might do c:
