Askan's body was all wrong. Long of neck and goosey of body. It wasn't intentional...because if it was, he wouldn't have chosen this form. Far from it. But here he was, standing amongst the stars and grass, just barely able to bite back the urge to honk as loud as his lungs would allow. A deep and unforgiving rage, a need for violence stirred within him. He wanted to destroy civilisations, bring ancient bloodlines to an end-which...wasn't very like him to be honest. He was a grumpy git at the best of time but not homicidal... leading him to assume it was his goosey instincts at play. Disgusting. Yet another reason to loathe and fear the bastards.
His neck whipped around at the sound of paws squishing long grass. His beady eyes snapped wide and he yet again had to clamp his beak shut. No. He would not honk, not now and not ever.

Everything was so different and yet the same. Not that she really understood how this whole magical autumn stuff worked. Did it really matter? It was making the adults hectic and stressed and therefore easier for her to sneak around unsupervised. Of course, there were plenty of adults to come with her when she wanted to venture out, but she also wanted to prove she was capable! So of course Bramble had slipped through the garden gates and out into the plains.
She wouldn't go too far now. Just enough so she could practice her skills without her siblings around. Caught up in her own puppy thoughts, she was surprised to see a goose all by himself out here. Stopping with ears perked forward, tail raised, and eyes staring curiously, Bramble started when he whipped around to stare at her. Letting out a gasp, the pup took a few steps back. "Oh, uh, sorry," she mumbled as she couldn't take her eyes off the goose.

Oh she would be sorry- is what the goosey part of him thought. The real Askan was a little more reasonable, but not by much. He flapped his wings in a shooing motion, maybe a little embarrassed that anyone, even a child saw him like this. As his mortal enemy, feathers and all. Except things would never be this easy or simple. As a goose he couldn't just tell them to shoo and be done with it, as a goose he naturally had to charge the pup, hissing and spitting. In life folks didn't tend to leave him alone when he said as much, but only a fool would ignore the ire of a goose. Surely.
And then a dreaded honk slipped out...and it was the start of the end...

It felt as if she were in a staring contest with this goose. Why was he staring at her like that?! Frozen in fear and confusion, Bramble nearly fell when he started flapping his wings at her. A little squeak emitted from her lips as she stumbled back a few steps. What did she do to receive such ire from the goose? Furrowing her brow, she straightened herself out and stood as tall as she could make herself. No hissing and spitting goose would scare her off! He was only a goose after all! Lifting her lips as an attempted growl was sent in return to the advancing goose, Bramble was convinced she could scare him back.
Until he let out a loud ugly HONK. Her eyes flew wide open and she stumbled back again. "HEY!" She screeched, ears flattened as her teal eyes glared at him. "What's your problem, goose?!" Bramble said as she tried to stand up and shake off the damp grass.

Askan had many problems, being dead and stuck in a goose body was one. The pup was his second and maybe his third and forth too. Instead of leaving as she should, she stubbornly remained, hadn't she learned anything from their last encounter? Gritting his...beak(?) He charged forward and raised a wing to wallop her upside the head. He was usually a little more tolerant towards pups, but he was having a rough and goosey day, give him a break, would ya?
But one wing slap wasn't enough. Out stretching his neck he gave the loose skin at the side of her neck a snap peck for good measure too, even tugged it between his beak as he continued to donk her on the head with his outstretched wings. The goose in him chose violence, typical.

Admittedly, Bramble was not expecting the goose to actually attack her. Before she could even run or dodge his advances, a very large wing came walloping her upside the head. A squeal left her as she stumbled a step to the side. Revealing a row of sharp puppy teeth, she retaliated with a snip toward his wing. In the process and to the goose's luck of having a rather long neck, his beak snapped at her skin. Whining from the pinching sensation, Bramble lowered her head and charged at the goose. "Go home why don't ya!" She screeched at the goose. "I live here! Not you!" The pup was now upset because what had she done to deserve getting attacked by a goose!? Snapping her jaws in his direction, not trying to hurt the animal, but scare him off, she kept the pressure on hoping he got the hint.
