Simple Wanderings
These days have opened up my eyes The titan was alone at least for the time being; Liet was sleeping where she had left her. Simply Zodiac knew she had little to worry over then again some time alone was always a good thing. Those deep set sapphires glanced at the boulders she passed quite being massive in overall size and what was more proving to be ideal vantage points if only she was interested in such a thing. A all too knowing huger clawed at her her insides as that stomach gave a note able rumble demanding food; Zodiac had been giving up the food she had caught for them to her adopted sibling for she knew Liet wouldn't eat unless Zodiac made sure of it. Sighing briefly that nose rose testing the wind perhaps she could find something here to hunt and fill that growling belly of hers; a disincentive scent caught her attention a deer or rather a herd seemed to be in the area.
Carefully Zodiac would pick her way between the boulders remaining hidden as she drew closer and closer to the herd of which she smelled yet did not see; relying on that sense of smell over her sight. It brought back memories, ones that were painful and best forgotten. As she got closer the warrior paused as she peered past a boulder spotting the herd on just the other side those eyes drifting carefully from one to the next as she looked for a weakness in the herd. An elder doe caught her gaze with a notable limb likely in it's time had out ran one wolf after another before a unlucky step had taken it's toll on a leg causing the limp. |
He had awoken only moments ago, feeling rested but still anxious. Whatever had come over him recently, he was beginning to wish it away. The darker part of him wanted to go back to his old ways, when he was alone without anyone else to care for or worry about. Caring seemed to have suddenly taken over his being. He cared for his children, Ares and Devya especially. He cared enough to die for them. He cared for Tortuga, and he even supposed he cared for a woman. Most of these things had been beyond him, not even plausible options for his life. What had changed him so? A foreign smell wafted into his den, alerting his sense. Ears perked and eyes widened slightly as he peered out from beneath his overhang, finding that he was unable to see from his position who or what had come near to his home. That smell was soon accompanied by that of a freshly slain deer, a smell that tempted him to his feet. The light reflected off the snow and blinded him temporarily, leading him to narrow his eyes to block out the glare. It took a moment before he was able to locate and focus on the female stranger. Massize paws carried the brute toward the newcomer, stopping far enough away to avoid any invasion of space. Seraphim spared a moment to look her over, noting that she was even larger than he and seemed to be in good condition. He did not detect the scent of another pack, which was a relief to his wary mind. Cautiously, he cleared his throat and addressed the stranger in his usual emotionless tones. I'm surprised you managed to find a doe so near to my home, stranger. Speech Thought Others |
We could've been doing this all along The male had simply gone unnoticed due to the fact the scent hadn't been strong where she had crossed into this odd place, the rocks had made the hunt easy due to the fact they hidden her from the deer until Zodiac could get close enough to make a move and so she had bringing down a doe with her. The chase had been the easy part along with making a clean and swift kill being the warrior she was even more so brutally trained by that father of hers it was something that was natural these days. Often more then not past memories plagued her ravaged mind making sleep near impossible for her to endure, always waking up in the middle of the night lashing out blindly as her past dreams took control. Liet would have quite the time calming her down much less bringing her out of the vivid dream. Those ears took note of someone approaching but Zodiac worried little as to whom it maybe no, it wouldn't of been Liet no doubt for she was where the stoic warrior had left her needing some alone time. Yet it would seem she would not be getting her wish that day. That now bloodied and once cream and white maw lifted only to turn those deep azure eyes to the white brute that proved to speak. "The herd must of been passing through here." A simple emotionless statement as she turned only to face the male wondering what he wanted from her.
