He'd followed Lucy up north, keeping her in his sight at all times. He was paranoid maybe but he didn't trust the world with the pixie. She said she needed to go north for some herb stuff, stuff he understood but yet had no real interest in. He was fine going as her protector, the change of scenery was probably good for him. The trees up here were all sorts of colors, those colors dipping into the floor of the forest. His posterior end was upon the ground, leaves under him as he watched the fall of more leaves. Lucy said she would be a bit, so he had seated himself to wait for her. He wasn't even out of earshot of her. He could hear the crunch of leaves as she moved and gathered her herbs. It was silent otherwise for the moment though, which for him was a good thing. He could relax a little, though his guard wasn't completely dropped. All it would take is one shout and he would be on it in a flash. Lucy could ask him to do just about anything at this point and he likely would do it. It honestly felt nice to be back in step with the pixie. though he wasn't sure she had told her parents or pack members about him being here yet. He'd have to ask since he was pretty sure she wanted him to sneak into the pack and set up shop either in her den or near it. He wasn't going to join Ethne though, he was certain they wouldn't be able to help him. That or maybe he would bring too much trouble. He didn't need to burden Lucy or the pack she had joined. Which was weird in itself. She had never struck him as the type to cease exploring and roaming about. Maybe it was for the better though. Walk, "talk", Think |

There was something going on, though Lucette had not told her what it was yet. The Leader of Ethne didn’t need to think too hard about what that was though. Her daughter had been close friends with a rainbow-marked youth, and she had met him before. He had helped her during a spot of trouble when she had fought Ignis the first time. It didn’t take a genius to assume that her eldest had found the boy again, and, somewhere out there, they were hanging out once more. Bellamy wasn’t worried that Bae-Syl would hurt her daughter, however. They were protective of each other, and their bond would keep them from harm, of that Bellamy was certain. Still, when Lucette had told her of her wishes to gather herbs in Boreas, Bellamy decided to trail after her. It didn’t take long for her to pick up on her daughter’s trail and notice Bae-Syl’s as well. She had expected her daughter to take up roaming again at some point but the woman wanted to be sure Bae-Syl was up for the task. Defending her daughter was something she wanted to be able to task to the young male, but right now she wasn’t entirely sure of his skills. So she trailed them, and once Lucette had found a spot to sort through the herbs, Bellamy made her move. She approached Bae-Syl, keeping her body language calm. Lucy was still in sight and wasn’t in any danger. She figured that was the best she could get to have Bae-Syl be in a talkative mood. “Bae-Syl,” Bellamy called to him as she approached. “Up on your feet, boy. I’d like to test your mettle, while Luce is safe with us both being here.” Her tone left no room for argument. She waited for him to rise, and, perhaps, ask why she had chosen now to spar him. The leaf litter kept the male somewhat more relaxed, along with the nearby scent of Luce. She was well withing sight of him and she seemed content with her herbs. The sunlight was filtering through what was left of the leaves on the trees here and he was content to close his eyes for the moment. His chin tilted up to the rays of light, until there was a sound he couldn't ignore. Crunch, crunch, crunch. His eyes snapped open and his eyes moved in the direction of the approach. They were coming from the Auster side. Not a really strange thing. Though the final sight of Bellamy had him pressing his ears in worry. A glance in Luce's direction, and he was certain she hadn't done this to him on purpose. She knew he was scared he might hurt someone. There was something inside him that kept him more than protective over Lucy. In fact he was certain he would kill for her. He slid his eyes back to Bellamy as she spoke. She wanted to fight him. But he wasn't certain. She was definitely more experienced and knew the song and dance of battle better than him. But who was he to refuse. After all Lucy had told him her mom was an alpha now. "Alright. But after we talk, I could use some..... advice." he was quiet enough his voice wouldn't carry to Lucy, but Bellamy would hear it. He stood and turned to face her completely. His legs loose but widened to make up for the slippery leaves beneath him. His ears pressed tight against his skull and he tensed his neck muscles. To him it wasn't a serious battle but he was fighting for Lucy he was sure. He put that in his head and turned on his switch. A low grumbling growl came forth as he let a snarl raise his lips and narrow his eyes. His tail was kept up behind him for his balance as he waited. The moment Bellamy gave the okay or looked ready he leaped into action. Back legs bunching and springing. Bringing him to dash towards Bellamy and jaws opened aiming to grip onto her scruff with his teeth. He aimed to throw his chest into her chest. With an angle from the direct front he hoped it would force her to either rise up or be pushed back. He just hoped the noise wouldn't be too startling to Lucy and make her think he was mauling her mother. The she-wolf wasn’t entirely sure how Bae-Syl would respond to her request. It wasn’t of malicious intent, but she could tell from the rainbow-marked youth’s first glance that he seemed less certain about challenging her. But he didn’t refuse. In fact, he accepted her offer, though he wanted some advice after their match. Bellamy noticed how his voice was quiet, likely to keep her daughter from hearing it. Bellamy gave a nod, offering him a small, reassuring smile. “Of course.” Her words were gentle, motherly. She had a feeling she might know what was bothering the male, based on their last encounter, and she planned to give him what advice she could to reassure him. Bellamy focused on her defenses as Bae-Syl readied himself. She slipped into a widened stance, her digits spread and claws biting into the soil. Her ears fell back, her eyes narrowed, and she rolled her shoulders forward under the snow leopard cape that she wore. Her tail lifted, aligning with her spine, and the woman lightly parted her jaws as she angled her chin downward to protect her throat. She had no idea of knowing the skillset Bae-Syl currently had, but that was exactly why she wanted to test him. If she could help better his skill, so that he would be able to protect her daughter when they were together, it would be worth it. “Your move.” Bellamy told him. A low, rumbling growl came from the boy as he leaped into action. He ate up the distance between them, as was expected. As he came in hot, Bellamy kicked against the ground hard, hopping more to her right, Bae-Syl’s left, as he attempted to slam their chests against one another. Instead, his shoulder bone brushed against her, each sliding across the other. The boy could have expected the attack to knock her back, but instead, it seemed it would leave them both with minor bruising at best. Bellamy didn’t stop with her hop, either. She swung her head toward Bae-Syl and curled it inward, hoping to grab the base of his neck near the nap of his neck before he moved too far forward. Like Bae-Syl, she hoped Lucette wouldn’t notice and get the wrong idea of the two of them sparring. She wasn’t going to seriously hurt the boy, though she couldn’t promise that either of them might leave the battle without a little bit of blood drawn. His what could of been a bold and great move was parried and he expected as much. He wasn't done yet though. If anything a devilish grin spread along his gapping jaws as his eyes stayed narrowed and his ears back, watching as Bellamy attempted to scruff him. Ha! Fat chance. He Shouldered forward just enough to leave Bellamy grabbing his muscle mostly on his front left shoulder, his hips swiveling and at the same moment his own jaws agape and aiming for the top of her skull. His front legs seeking to grapple her around her neck at the same time. His tail went out straight and his back legs widening and digging hard into the dirt beneath the leaves. This was a move he had seen his uncle use on his cousin more than once and he was willing to bet she didn't expect him to give her purchase on something so tender in order to go for her skull. In most cases it would be a crushing and killing bite, but for Bells he held no malice it was simply an attempt to show her how far he would go to keep Luce safe. He would end someone for Luce and Bells needed to know he wasn't going to be a slouch in the job, that he would die defending Luce. His hackles bristled and stood high creating a bushy protection for his nape. With his attempted grab he was also attempting to shove his left shoulder bone into Bells jaw and hopefully force her to open her jaws if she wanted to breath. no malice was really behind him though as he did so, though she might end up with a sore mouth if she didn't. Ahh, so the kid had some skill, eh? He moved forward, shifting his weight so that she was grabbing towards the muscle of his shoulder. She wouldn’t attempt to keep a hold there, her fangs grazing across the flesh. The area was meaty, but she had never considered it a prime target for grabbing. The scruff, where you could control the head, or a more vital area perhaps, but she wasn’t going to leave her own head and neck vulnerable. Bae-Syl was attempting to swing back around, aiming for the top of her skull. Bellamy dug her paws into the earth, the leaves around them shuffled as she lowered her center of gravity down. It would have been a dangerous move for many wolves, but for Bellamy, whose initial fighting style had been to leave no wolf standing, and keep herself guarded lest she be killed herself, it was a trick that wasn’t going to work as easily. Bellamy thrusted her body up, her head moving towards those open jaws. When he might get an initial hold, the slam upward would hopefully strain his neck and jaws and force a release. Her front paws came off the ground as she thrust upward, seeking height to surpass Bae-Syl’s own. His shoulder came forward, but she was too far back for it to have any real affect on her now. Either her move was going to work, and she’d get Bae-Syl’s jaws off her, or she was going to leave herself balance compromised for him to give a swift push and knock her to the ground. Either way, this spar ended here, right now. |
