Laeta, as the pack's Specialist, yearned to live up to the title she had been bestowed. Artorias had been generous, and she was thankful he saw her talents and wished for her to put them to use. It was the very goal she had sought all along, as far back as when she had first arrived to the castle, broken and battered in mind, body and soul; she had purpose. Other wolves saw her purpose, her skills, her talents and wished for her to pass them on to the new generation of the pack's warriors, scholars, healers, and scouts. It was a promising time, and what the pack had given her so far - from care when she was paralyzed, to support when she was at her lowest - she hoped she could repay those favors, step by step. One day at a time, one lesson at a time.

The castle's common room was the perfect spot to do her lesson. The older woman approached the awning into the luscious, warmly lit area, silent except for the crackling o a fire freshly put on by Mel. The badger busied himself with placing some dry wood into the hearth, allowing the flames to rise just a little. Lae smiled softly to herself as she grasped some blankets and laid them on the floor to create a larger carpeted space, but the couches that sat near the fireplace were also perfect for more students to sit on, as well. It was anyone's preference for where they chose to sit, really, and she'd make the space as comfortable and warm as possible. Today's lesson would be about basic empathy - how the children in particular could use these skills to better understand each other and communicate their emotions, and resolve disagreements among them. If it was successful, it would give the other wolves in the pack a break from teaching them fighting and healing, and Lae an opportunity to exercise her skills as the official pack therapist. Once satisfied the common room was arranged to her taste, she sat herself in the center of the common room and lifted her head to call for the pups - or anyone really, young or old - to join her.

It was a relatively slow afternoon as far as she could tell. Nothing particularly special. Everyone had just gone on to do their normal tasks. Talyssa, however, lingered inside after breakfast. Instead of traipsing through the castle grounds, she made her way to a quiet corner. Her favorite spot in the whole castle was seated on a chaise, next to a window in the lounge. While she liked to watch the ocean as well from the great hall- the lounge looked out over the plains. It was all so heavy with new growth and wildflowers now at the beginning of summer, and the way they danced in the breeze beneath the sun certainly made her soul happy. She also liked the lounge because it was kind of out of the way. It gave her space to think in a place where not many knew to find her. Among other things, it was relaxing.

However, when she heard an unfamiliar call, her peak in curiosity couldn't be ignored. Talyssa hopped down from the chair and worked her way out of the lounge and toward the feminine voice that had called for assembly. When she rounded a corner, she made no attempt to hide the surprise that took over her expression. Her pale blue gaze immediately fell to the woman who had called. She was familiar with her and knew that her name as Laeta. However, she had never had a conversation. So, she felt the proper thing to do, was offer an introduction. "Hello, my name is Talyssa." The young girl offered with a friendly grin. Allowing her attention to shift to the blankets that had been laid out to cover the floor, she casually found a spot and reclined to a seated position. She was unsure of what the topic of this lesson was going to be, but she was certainly interested in any information that could be offered.

Bramble had gotten a shy streak recently and had been keeping to herself in the library or out in the garden. Having so many brothers, sisters, cousins, and many others inside the castle had been overwhelming for the rambunctious pup. Sometimes, she felt it was really hard to get attention at all and with how clumsy she felt with her growing long leg and awkwardly large paws, it had been a tough time. She was feeling better now though, feeling more confident as she spent more time practicing in the dojo with her aunt Tika or wandering the fields or beach with her father's companions. Speaking of her father... she hadn't spent time with him lately!

Leaving her afternoon hiding spot to go find the Aegis, a familiar voice distracted her mission. Curious and excited, Bramble made her way to the warm common room lit by a fire. Nearly sliding through the door with a large grin on her face as she spotted Laeta, Talyssa, and Mel, she could feel her tail wagging excitedly as she trotted in. "Lyssa!" Bramble greeted her sister first, brushing by with a nudge of her shoulder before she went over to the nearby couch. Hopping up onto the plush cushion, Bramble sprawled herself out as she let out happy yips toward Laeta and Mel. "Hi, Sir Mel and Miss Laeta! What are we doing today?" The pup asked eagerly as her bright eyes lingered on the elderly wolf.
