Searching for fun

Rampage wandered the pack territory, exploring every inch of his large home.  Living in the den he could never have fathomed how large the world truly was and this was just the land his pack claimed!  Surely anything outside of the pack land couldn’t hope to compare to all they had!  Out here there was rock instead of grass or trees.  Snow lay on the ground but only sporadically, mostly under the more shadowy regions.

Rampage looked up at one of the rocks perched on top of a seeming pillar of rock, imagining what would happen if it fell.  Hmm.  Rampage took a few steps away from where he imagined the rock falling.  How the heck did it get up there?
The boy's attention is turned to one side as he spots a darker patch of rock which turns out to be the entrance to an especially small cavern in the side of some darker red rocks.  Lowering his chest to the ground, haunches up high the boy peers inside.  It would be close but the boy saw he’d be able to fit inside and if he was right it widened up what appeared to be a few strides in.  

This had the potential for a grand adventure! Scenting the air he tried to imagine what might be in there if anything besides rock.
