Shuriken had gathered up some supplies and made her way to the communal area in the forests of the ravine. There was a huge bonfire area that was regularly swept clear of leaf litter and shrubbery. It was one of the better places in pack lands to work on a net. Recently she had made a fishing pole, but it made her miss the nets she used with her siblings on the islands. Thoughts of Oki and Take, chest deep in the waters as the wrestled river monsters. The thought made her grin as she lowered herself to the ground and started to do the traditional fish netting weave.

Kitsune was settling back into life in Ashen, although finding it vastly different then it had been before. Instead of an island surrounded by water, they had land with a lake surrounded by land. She liked to spend time by the water, and was about to head to the lake when her companion Kite called down to her. Telling her of her sister, who sat by the pack bonfire and worked.

Changing course, she decided to fall into a predatory crouch. Trailing along behind her Kite as it led her to Ike. She may have reached the age of an adult, but some things just came naturally. Besides - she would never forgive Ike for taking all the height. One step, two steps. Her sister was in front of her. She rose like a silent hunter, and lunged at the taller wolf.

Her paws weren’t as deft as Ikigai’s, but she could mostly figure out the weaving of the thin nets. Over, under around, just ten thousand more times. The work was slow going, but it was rewarding. Maybe making a net was more difficult than a fishing pole, but the extra effort in making it now made for a larger harvest next time. The fishing pole could catch one fish at a time, and the net should yield her many fishes in one harvest. After her life time of weaving and mending nets, Ike was very nearly a master at this point. Still, Ike always felt like she was learning and that process would likely never really end. What she truly needed ot learn was self confidence. The Princess had grown a lot in the last year. With Remus’ help she was much more competent and graceful member of Ashen.

All the could be forgotten as she was suddenly hit by a tackle and sent flying. With her work still in her paws both of the girls were sent flying, and the progress she had made of her net wrapped the both of them up together within it.

It felt like it had been forever since she had seen her sister, but in reality it had only been a few months. A few months where Kit had explored some of the world, and had stories to tell. She had been very much looking forward to seeing her sister again.

It seems her sister was utterly unprepared for her, and even Kit wasn’t quite expecting the way the two of them tumbled. Her pounce landed them in the nets which promptly wrapped about them both. Kitsune gave a soft yelp of surprise. “You’ve caught me!” She cried, wiggling as she tried to get out of the net, but only served to tangle herself and Ike up even further. “You’ve trapped me!” She said, indignation and laughter on her lips at the unexpectedness of it all. Pouncing her sister had never resulted in this before!

As the two of them went flying Ike was disappointed at the skill she had to make a net. All of the weavings held as the two wolves were rolled up into its grasp. Thankfully at least it wasn’t a massive net either, and even if they were getting caught up in her handiwork Kitsune was able to struggle out of the net after they stopped tumbling. Obviously the Daimyo hadn’t been expecting a sudden encounter with the fishing nets.

Ike carefully extracted herself, pulling a couple of loops off of Kit’s tail as they both scrambled to freedom. "Your sneak attack went wrong, Sister.” She chuckled with a sharp eye that was quick to return to her next as she struggled to return to where she had left off. Once she found it Ike settled back in with her work as she looked back up to Kit. Idly her paws would weave in and out of the strands. The rhythmic motions coming as second nature to the island bred princess.

"It’s good to see you again. Glad you finally made it home.” She teased her lightly. They both knew each wolf had different responsibilities, and Ike’s were here in the pack. Weaving and mending her nets while she trained to be the one day Empress.

Despite her ineffective scrambling, Ike managed to pull herself free of the net, and helped Kit out of it as well. She sighed as her sister pulled netting off her tail. “It really did. I didn’t damage your work, did I?” She asked with concern as she turned and took some of the netting into her own paws to inspect it. “This is good work” She complimented her sister, as the other wolf took the netting back and began to work where she had left off. Kitsune settled down beside her and watched the work.

“It’s good to be home, too. I missed you” She admitted, leaning lightly against the taller wolf.

Thankfully her netting was getting close to finished when Kitsune made her surprise attack. Ike knew her netting well enough that she untangled herself quickly and helped her sister be rid of the fish trap too. She hadn’t used it yet, so they wouldn’t smell like fish at least. "No, it's fine.” She chuckled softly as Kit was freed. Ike didn’t expect Kitsune’s compliment as she looked back at the nets, telling her it was good work. Shuriken blushed a little, she was slowly growing confident in herself but sometimes it was still hard to accept herself.

"Thank you,” She replied bashfully as she set the net down so they wouldn’t be tangled again. Kit echoed her comment, telling her how much she missed her. "Well, tell me all about your adventures.” She prompted as she sat down with her smaller sibling.
