She hadn't been to the battlefield really since the challenge for Habari. And also that fight with Eraithus. She wanted to stay on top of her game and not let her skills rot away just because she had won the title of alpha. No, she needed to keep herself sharp and fit! With that in mind, she donned her gear and gathered up her companions and made her way into the battlefield. It smelled and looked as it usually did, same sounds she usually heard around these parts. She wondered if she'd run into a familiar face, or someone she had never met. She did seem to run into plenty of familiar faces in the past, but who knew, maybe it'd be different this time? Once she found a spot, she threw her head back and called for someone to fight with!

She'd returned. In reality, she hadn't been gone all that long. It had taken some licking of metaphorical wounds after the altercation with her brother, but Sanngriðr returned with a need for vengeance running hot and thick in her veins. Golden gaze wild, head tossing, and something different in her chest. The place where her heart should be had become different, had become... there were no words for it, at least not in the common tongue.

The valkyrie is brazen as she steps upon the battlefield. She stands alone, unarmed, with nothing save for the skin on her back. It's all that matters. It's all she can trust. She is a berserker, and she would stand alone in that right. A call had come and she would answer. The woman that came into focus was taller, but slighter in stature. Sanngriðr would need to account for both of these things. Brazen, bold, she strode into the ring. The valkyrie does not speak, only dipping her head and setting her stance firmly in the cracked earth beneath her feet. Ready.

Someone was coming. The screech from her companion in the air told her long before she saw the stranger. Dual-toned gaze fell back to the horizon, watching as someone approached. It was not someone that Medusa recognized. A curious tilt of her head as the babe approached, and although her opponent said nothing, she didn't need to. Medusa knew why she was there. Of course, the intention was cemented with the woman's body language, a form of communication that Medusa was far more familiar with as opposed to words. She cracked a grin before settling into her own stance, sharpened claws biting into the earth like her teeth would likely soon be biting into flesh. Or so she liked to think. She didn't know her opponents skillset, she could very well be a million times better than Medusa in the fighting field. But she wouldn't know until they got up close and personal. The scraggly, shaggy woman rolled her shoulders once and flattened her ears before taking off, long legs eating the ground as she aimed to draw close, seeking to sweep past her opponent's left side, forepaw looking to swipe her opponent's foreleg out from beneath her, while her shoulder aimed to jab into her ribs. Lastly, teeth sought to hook into the woman's flank...assuming she had managed to make it that far, of course.
